help finding this girl, mya santacruz. that's when she was seen leaving her home on carquinez place. she has brown hair with red tips. she was wearing all blue, including shirt, leggings an shoes. police say she's at risk because of her age and medical issues. if you see her, please call pittsburg police. investigation continues after a th caldecott tunnel. the westbound lanes were temporarily shut down. amy hollyfield is tracking it for us. good morning, amy. >> reporter: good morning. the driver is expected to survive and the victim, the passenger was not hit. the chp did shut down the fourth bore which is the westbound lanes until about 10:45 last night. these are lanes headed towards san francisco. the shooting happened just before 8:00 last night. the chp does think this was an

isolated event. the public does not need to worry about being at risk. the shooter got away. the only description the chp has is the shooter was possibly in a white car. officers who said in the past these shootings happen so fast, making them tough to solve. if anyone saw the shooting last night, they are encouraged to come forward and call police. again this happened westbound on highway 24 headed towards san francisco. the tunnel is between orinda and oakland. freeway shoot innings have been a huge problem in the east bay. officers say there have been nearly 200 of them in the past four years. to solve them and to stop this, they say they really need people with information to come forward. reporting live in oakland, amy hollyfield, abc 7 news. two scary caun pal. th vicle captured the second leading up to a deadly wrong way crash on highway 101.

minutes later there was a chain reaction pileup in the opposite lanes. abc 7 news reporter cornell barnard spoke with witnesses. >> reporter: watch closely as this wrong-way driver heads south in the northbound lanes of highway 101 near university avenue after 2:00 a.m. all captured by kevin cunningham's dash cam. he managed to aif void the driver. >> what was in my mind were words i probably can't say in this interview. it freaked us out. >> reporter: seconds later that wrong-way driver collided head on with a white mercedes. it then caught fire. the driver was killed. minutes later, chaos in southbound lanes as some drivers slowed to see the crash. what happened next caught on camera -- >> oh, god. passengers in a honda were

the o.j. simpson chase in los angeles. as so many vividly remember, police followed simpson on the freeway for several hours until he finally surrendered. officers arrested him in connection to the murders of his ex-wife nicole and friend ronald goldman. simpson was eventually acquitted, later found liable in a civil wrongful death lawsuit filed by the victims' families. last week the former football star joined twitter saying he created the account to share his thoughts and he has a little, quote, getting even to do. simpson graduated in san francisco in 1965. boeing ceo admits the company made a, quote, mistake, on how it handled the problem with the cockpit warning system. that system is blamed in two deadly 737 max skbret crashes. it prompted the u.s. and other nations to ground all 737 max planes. boeing's chief promised transparency going forward while it works to get the max up in

is still going to keep us from getting outrageously warm like we were this time last week. we're barely reaching the upper 80s to 90. no 100s in this forecast. the beaches not breezy. the clouds may open a little more for some sunshine. warmer this afternoon if you're thinking about doing yard work or walking the dog. out on the bay, lighter breezes this afternoon. north bay we jump from 57 at 7:00, 63 at 9:00. low to mid 80s from noon through about 6:00. as far as the east bay goes, we'll have 60s through 11:00. low to mid 70s noon to 5:00. last stop will be san francisco where we'll see a few low to mid 60s, especially on the bay side this afternoon after being in the nifs most of the morning. looking at a quiet start here. hoping we can keep it that way and i'm not jinxing anything here. starting to fill in at the bay bridge toll plaza. i just double-checked, n lyet. that should be happening within the next ten minutes or so.

westbound 4 antioch to con covered, still good at 16 minutes. southbound san rafael to san francisco on 101, 17 minutes. paramedics rushed a plan to the hospital after a shooting in san jose. this happened at a strip maul on clement and story roads before midnight. witnesses say they heard one or two shots and then at least ten more back-to-back. a truck at that scene had bullet holes. there were evidence markers all over the place. police are still trying to determine what led to the gunfire. the chp is looking for the person who opened fire in the caldecott tunnel leaving a driver shot in the head. the shooting happened before 8:00 p.m. last night in bore number four. that's on the westbound side of highway 24 connecting orinda and oakland. the driver who was shot in the head is expected to survive. the passenger was not hurt. chp believes this was an isolated incident and the only suspect information released is that the suspect car may have been white. in the east bay, one of the two men blamed for the deadly ghost ship warehouse fire in oakland could take the stand

today. >> abc 7 news reporter job beno fortson is live in the news room with max harris' day in court. >> max harris expected to take the stand, a lot of interest. the judge says there will be an overflow room set up for spectators today. max harris and derick almena are charged with 36 counts of involuntary manslaughter, one count for each person killed in the december 2016 warehouse fire. harris is the creative director of ghost ship and is accused of booking concerts without permits there while almena is accused of illegally converting ghost shim into an artistan useddeo. harris' lawyer says his client was made a scapegoat for the tragedy. at a recent hearing, a woman testified she heard a group of men outside the warehouse the night of the fire laughing and talking about having set the fire. defense attorneys will argue, if

the december 2016 fire was arson, harris and almena must be innocent. reporting in the news room, joe bean that fortson, abc 7 news. alameda will not implement toms on any of its four bridges. that's what the city's vice mayor told abc 7 news in response to a rumor that started after a city council meeting to discuss reducing greenhouse gases. the initial idea was to take certain steps for a 50% reduction by 2030. and one council member suggested going a bit further to an 80% reduction by installing $5.00 tolls. >> wouldn't even be legal under state law for us to implement such a thing. we'd have to change state law. there would be a huge public process to discuss whether alamedans were even interested in doing such a inning this. right now there's no plan to approve that in the near or midterm future. >> the alameda city council will vote on the greenhouse gas reduction plan july 16.
