gorgeous shot there. and we're in the low 60s at 7:00, and 77 to 85 is our bay and inland temperatures, and then 78 to 90 so warmer this afternoon. we're looking at fairly decent start here on the roads this morning, just starting to see the volumes fill in at the bay bridge toll plaza. westbound 80, the carpool lanes are open and everything looks good there. everything else, cash or fast track is filling in. we had an issue overnight in san jose, a full closure of northbound at 680. all lanes did re-open at about 3:45 this morning. as you can see, we're back in the green. that's not going to be an issue this morning. however, this is an investigation for a deadly shooting on the freeway. we're going to get to abc7 news reporter who is

>> reporter: they are in the early stpaeupblages of the investigation, and the man killed looked like he had gunshot wounds in the area of his head and neck and was somewhere between the ages in his late 20s or early 30s. they received a call shortly after 10:00 last night, reports of shots fired in the northbound lanes of 680 near capital avenue. when officers arrived they found a man inside the vehicle in the center divider unresponsive. paramedics tried to revive him but he was pronounced dead at the scene. the golden gate division investigated 187 freeway shootings since november 1st of 2018. last night's fatalities bring it up to ten. investigators are trying to confirm the shooting happened on the freeway. >> we are looking to establish

that this did establish on the freeway. there were calls that came in from potential witnesses suggesting it occurred on the freeway and that's something the investigators who are going to be follow-up on this will try to establish. >> the northbound lanes of 680 were closed for hours, and everything is going to re-open. heavy police presence in oakland where a suspect search is under way. here's a live look from bancroft avenue and 108th. a sergeant on the scene tells us this incident started in hayward and authorities chased a person into oakland. hayward police are now handling the investigation. abc7 news reporter, amy

hollyfield hollyfield, is there. police arrested a 23-year-old after receiving an fbi tip about threats in an online chat room. investigators say they found camouflaged clothing and he is currently out on bail. happening today, san francisco supervisors will consider a ban on the sale of e-cigarettes. the ban would mean these products cannot be ordered online or mailed to a san francisco address. the cities argued that e-cigarettes cannot be on shelves. if supervisors approve the ban it will need a vote before it goes into effect. a hot of hearts going out to a family of five living out of their van. this is one of the top viewed stories on our website and a story you will only see on abc7 news. gonzalez thought he was renting

we still have the sea breeze. winds at 16 miles per hour at the golden gate will keep most of us from overheating today. it will bring more sunshine to the beaches as that's a drier breeze today but still will be cool. tranquil if you are going to be out on the bay. east bay valleys, 80 by 11:00. 90 by 1:00, and then down to 78 this evening. that's one of our warmer areas. before that some comfortable mid-70s around noon and upper 70s through about 5:00, drop into the low 70s by 7:00. we jump into the 70s near 80s by noon in the south bay and hangout in the mid-80s this afternoon and 77 with sunshine at 7:00. i want to take you to the traffic maps. we do have a signal alert in san mateo county. skyline boulevard is fully closed at reads roost road. we are hearing this is a crime

scene investigation. either direction not able to get through that area. definitely plan on alternates. not a lot of great ones through that stretch and i will update as soon as they let us know that. one lane re-opened, possibly two. we do not have a current estimate of when that will wrap up. we are quiet on the side of the bridge. east bay 580, we should have all lanes back open after the emergency road repair. we will check back in an hour. more people are driving electric cars. electric car registrations accounted for 13% of new car registrations in the bay area in 2018, and that's up from 7% in 2017. the data includes plug-in hybrids. the state is hoping to get more zero emission vehicles on the road by 2025.

san antonio road looks like they are picking up the cones and the delays are thinning out a bit. a check of the north bay commune, here's san rafael, southbound 101 still very light there and probably will be for another hour or two. really our only slow spot getting out of the central valley, tracy to dublin. northbound 85, 101 to cupertino, also in the green at 15 minutes. two big base camps are going up near paradise as more and more people head to butte county to rebuild. the camps will be home to 1,600 workers in a few weeks, and this follows along with a place for workers to live and eat and the camp will store tools and equipment needed for rebuilding. it's an abc news executive with a teenager that survived a shark attack. paige winter is talking about the moment the shark latched on.

know knocks on your door call 911 immediately. we will bring you updates on this morning. police presence in the east bay. let's get back to amy hollyfield who is live in oakland. >> reporter: we have a lot of activity going on right now, reggie. the hayward police department brought in its mobile command vehicle, and it looks like the tactical team is assembly in the middle of bancroft avenue. looks like they could be making a move, maybe about to make entry into a home. we are just watching from the outside of the crime tape as this all unfolds. they are standing at 107th and bancroft. they have a couple blocks of this avenue shutdown while they search for someone. they have not told us who they are searching for or why and that's because the sergeant here on scene for the oakland police department told us all of the

information needs to come out of hayward, that this is a hayward police case. it was a chase out of hayward that ended up here in hn for a. at one poepint they had a polic helicopter cir above but now it looks like they are getting assembles and meeting up and ready to do something. we will keep an eye on this situation. i did ask a sergeant earlier, what should i tell people who live in the area about their safety, and she said you can tell them that we have the situation contained. reporting live here in oakland, amy hollyfield, abc7 news. now to the south bay. there's growing debate in a san jose neighborhood over these pride flags. neighbors have used brightly colored flags for safety while crossing busy lincoln avenue, so they switched them out for rainbow flags because of pride month but not everybody is a

fan. >> they were gone by the 2nd, and then somebody else put them out a couple days later and those were gone. then the christian flags came out. >> these are those christian flags she's talking about that were replaced -- or i should say replace the pride flags. members of the lgbtq community say the switch makes them feel unwelcome. several community members put back the pride flags while others said the flags should be used for safety and not making a statement. and now the lgbtq pride flag flying over the capital, and it was raised at the request of governor newsom. he says it sends a message of inclusion that he believes exist here in california. and then the dangers of illegal fireworks ahead of the fourth of july. just three days ago illegal fireworks sparked a fire that

680 and highway 85 through san jose, looking good at 15 minutes. dashcam video shows a road rage incident in georgia after a teen was dragged down a highway after a confrontation. police say it started after a collision. the driver of the black car got out of his vehicle and walked up to the teen and punched him in the face, took his keys and then got back into his own vehicle. the teen says he grabbed his baseball bat and ran after the guy to get his keys back. that is when the man pulled him into a headlock and drove down the road. really scary situation. that suspect was arrested for aggravated assault. >> what? >> yes. i was looking at this earlier this morning, and the producers and i were like, why would you roll your window down? lock your door if you see somebody approaching. >> don't engage.
