you can see the freeway there, extension. traffic slowing down, perhaps distracted by the smoke. but it does right now visually appear to be better than some of the other pictures that we've seen with denser heavier smoke rising into the air. >> yeah, the white smoke is actually a good sign at this point and it appears as though it is a lot less smoke than we saw earlier. i know you were looking at the twitter feed at this point wher there was billowing black smoke that was quite a bit higher than it is now. it's pretty hard to there is a bunch of construction going on in that general vicinity although we're not sure about the exact location right now. >> and don't forget that ucsf is also there, the mission bay campus. a lot of people would be either going to their appointments or perhaps going loam after work. a lot of traffic in the area, not to mention you can see the smoke from this fire from both

101 and 280 so it could cause further delays to the afternoon commute which is always difficult at this time anyway but you can see the direction we're currently looking eastward, of course, towards the bay. and the smoke does seem to be diminishing. >> right. and we're getting word now, i was going to say, the good news it's not one complexes. it appears to be emanating from a shed and it might be in some way connected with a food truck nearby. could be adjoining. as we get more information, we're trying to effort something with the fire department here to try to get more exact information on just in the last few minutes from what you're looking at on twitter, do you see something? >> you know what is in that area. iddo was just there. there's a place called sparks social. they have food trucks. they have food trucks. there's a miniature golf course.

heavy equipment but i'm sure they're working on it at this point. >> we can't pin photo exactly what is burning right now. this just happening in the last 15 minutes or so, a fire fir breaking out in the mission bay neighborhood of san francisco near some construction sites, near the chase center. possibly near the sparks social i was talking about, a food truck congregation place with a pina tour golf place area. you can see some whichiis diminishing. folks in that vent of ucsf, the giants ballpark, chase centers, you could encounter some delays as firefighters continue to try to put out this fire. >> and we have gotten word that there are no reports of any injuries connected with this fire. officials have not revealed what the cause of the fire is. but at this point, it does appear that they are making a

hasan live on royal avenue in san jose with the details. unser? >> good evening. this is one of the properties google owns here in san jose that could be included in their new plan. many of the housing advocates i spoke with said that today's announcement shows that tech can be a partner for change. >> as one of the largest employers in the bay area, goog says its responsibility to help starts at home. to help tackle the bay area's housing crisis, google is pledging to invest $1 billion to develop 15,000 new homes. part of its plan google wants to rezone some of its property from commercial to residential use. the company will also establish a $250 million investment fund just for affordable housing and another $50 million in grant money focused on the issues of the homeless and displacement. >> we think google got a lot right with their initiative. >> ceo of housing trust silicon

called a hero after he witnessed an accident and bravely stepped in to rescue the victims. >> reporter: reyshawn jackson spent saturday running football drills in sacramento. the 17-year-old plays varsity wide receiver at clayton valley charter high in concord. on the way back to pittsburgh, reyshawn and his mom saw an suv driving out of control on highway 160 in the delta. >> it was coming towards us. the person turned the steering wheel to the right and flew off the end of the cliff. >> tracy pulled over and seconds later, reyshawn jumped into action to rescue those trapped inside the sub which had flipped twice down an embankment. >> i was praying everyone was dead and injured. >> that's reyshawn on top of the suv pulling folks to safety. >> i'm looking at reyshawn but i'm looking at the car like is the gas tank going to explode. it's too much glass. he could get cut. i don't want him to hurt
