now from abc 7 live breaks news. >> coming out of san jose where two people have been shot. a stand off has been going on for more than two hours as police try to contact a suspect. >> let's get to abc 7 news reporter at the scene. >> reporter: good evening. year a few blocks away from that home. police have created a large perimeter around the scene. you can see all the police presence here. the perimeter that's been created. the crowds of people that have gathered at this strip mall in center road. people are here, they are trying to get home. they can't get home.

they don't know how long before they can get back to their home. some people told me they have been evacuated. they live on this street where it happened and they have been told by police to come here. a lot of unknowns right now. but i want to eshow you video from that scene. you know we will show you this is on habits cord, if you're particular with the area, roughly a block away from the golf course. they tell us two people inside the home have been transnoord hospital in an armored police vehicle on the scene. it's a possible stand off situation. they're trying to contact the suspect who may still be inside the home. there may be other victims or residents. two hours ago. and first calls came in about a possible shooting. what was now a shooting around 8:40. we don't know who their victims or their ages or relationship to
