look at these temperatures. is this late june really? mid to upper 50s at 7:00, near 60 at the coast. barely 70 elsewhere. increasing sunshine. low to mid 70s at 4:00 and back in the. grab a coat or blanket if you have outdoor activities. let's see what else alexis is watching for us. >> taking a look at a lot of road work at this early hour. here is the richmond side of the richmond-san rafael bridge. we have lanes closed still. they could be closed until about 5:00 this morning. typically on the westbound side they wrap up a little bit before that. on the eastbound side sometimes they make it all the way to 5:00. not seeing delays on either side of the bridge. you should be in good shape. drive times looking good here. westbound 80 highway 4 to the maze, 16 minutes. eight minutes across the bay bridge and southbound 101 sflan francisco to sfo, nine minutes for you. new developments on muni

after a train dragged a woman onto the tracks, they say their problems are fixed. >> abc 7 news reporter amy hollyfield is live with more. >> reporter: as passengers arrive, we'll ask them how it impacted their ride. muni had been locking its back doors, but now will be unlocking them. muni is doing this, they say, to protect their passengers. look what happened back in april. this video that was obtained by the "san francisco examiner" shows a woman dragged after getting her hand caught in a closing door. after this happened, muni locked its back doors. and since then they have added sensors to those doors to detect if there is something or someone blocking the door. they've had a total of three incidents since november of 2017 involving the back doors in which passengers got hurt. so they decided to make this

change. they're hoping it will keep everyone safe. it's something for you to be aware of as you start your commute this morning. knows back doors should be opening. live in san francisco, amy hollyfield, abc 7 news. >> it's 4:33. we'll see you in court. that's what angry neighbors in san francisco are vowing this morning, this after supervisors agreed to move forward with the new homeless navigation center along the embarcadero. the city had already approved the project near bryant street. last night the board of supervisors rejected an appeal from nearby neighbors. abc news anchor ama daetz has more. >> we're afraid the city is creating a problem we don't have. rfr despite pushback, the san francisco board of supervisors voted to move forward with the center. the stefr would have 200 beds, making it the largest in the city.

those in favor of the shelter say it's needed for the community. >> it's time to be expediting homeless shelters. i don't know how anyone can look at our street and say it's not a good idea to expedite homeless shelters. >> reporter: planners want it to open in a few months to move people toward permanent housing. san francisco operates navigation centers elsewhere. and critics claim they've blighted other neighborhoods. >> other navigation centers of much smaller size have required all most daily police, paramedic and fire services. already in our area -- >> reporter: an attorney says opponents of the navigation center plan to take legal action. he believes its fate will be decided in court. ama daetz, abc 7 news. the san francisco school board voted to paint over a controversial high school mural. the artwork inside george washington high school depicts slaves and native americans. it was done in 1936, the year the school opened.

critics say it's inappropriate and disturbing to students. supporters say it portraying the darker side of american history. the examiner say it could cost about $600,000 to paint over that mural. in the east bay a measure banning public agencies from using facial recognition technology is moving forward. the public safety committee approved it yesterday. berkeley is considering a similar ban, and last month san francisco became the first city in the nation to ban the technology. the family of murdered sacramento police officer tara o'sullivan is speaking publicly for the first time about her death. o'sullivan was shot and killed last week while she and other officers were responding to a domestic dispute. police say adele sambrano ramos ambushed o'sullivan. her father said this is the job she always wanted and there's only one person to blame for what happened. >> the loss of our daughter falls on one person's shoulders

trev tr trevor ault joins us with more. >> robert mueller has given one ten-minute statement a month ago. congress has said that's not good enough. they issued the subpoenas and robert mueller is agreeing to come and testify. >> with the world watching, special counsel robert mueller now expected to testify in public hearings july 17th. the house judiciary and intelligence committees both issuing mueller subpoenas tuesday night. democratic members eager to finally ask him questions about the russia investigation and the ten instances laid out in the mueller report where the president may have obstructed justice. >> if we had had confidence that the president clearly did not commit a crime, we would have said so. >> reporter: house intelligence chief adam schiff says he doesn't think it would be considered a friendly subpoena, but they need answers. >> we never felt it was sufficient to rely on a written report without the ability to follow up questions.
