co-worker on the second floor. >> and as soon as i seen him, i told him we got to get out of here. and i looked on the top floor, and i seen the whole fourth floor in flames. >> investigators detained a person of interest yesterday afternoon, but that person was released. the four-storey condo complex with 58 units was supposed to be completed later this year. in the east bay, two off-duty police officers in castro valley helped evacuate a home next to a burning garage. a retired fire department captain also helped before fire crews got there. one of the off-duty officers had to break a window to wake up the people inside. a dog hiding under a bed was also rescued. the red cross is helping a total of five people find a new place to stay. thankfully no one was hurt. a child has died after visiting the san diego county fair. >> three other children who went got sick. coming up, the common link in

a 2-year-old bu buy bu being at the fair. two others were sickened by bacteria. the four cases are linked to animal contact. they don't think it came from eating fair food. they're taking steps to prevent others from getting sick.
