resonates, especially fors to the two recent high school graduates here at san francisco's pride for the first time. >> we're from a very isolated town and it feels like you're in the middle of nowhere. you don't see any of these people and it can feel like you're alone. >> reporter: pride started saturday with this champagne christening for the annual display of the pink triangle, a display that started 24 years ago as an act of obedience. >> a small group of us installed the first pink triangle in the dark of night so we wouldn't be arrested. >> there are currently 73 nations in the world where home sexuality is criminalized. >> reporter: that's why they say this weekend is all about being loud and proud. >> so i guess i've been chosen.

new information about the 2-year-old boy who died after visiting the san diego county fair. >> she and three other children were sickened to e.coli. the family has set up this gofundme me page. relatives say jedidiah was a happy boy. that he suffered stomach pains for three days despite washing his hands after the petting zoo. he was in and out of the er before dying on monday.

more on how the fair seresponding. >> reporter: inspectors zeroing in on the county fair after four children were sickened by e.coli, one of them a 3-year-old boy dying. >> our hearts and prayers go out to the family and while we emphasize safety at the fair we will continue to do so. >> reporter: there children visited parks that held animals including two that visited the petting zoo and did not wash their hantds. that and all uth closed to the public. >> unfortunately when you have livestock, there is an inherent risk. they rileave themselves and it's in the fees ease. we have personnel there that are telling people, encouraging them to wash their hands after they completed petting the animals.

because he says he thought it was a safe location. they say that's a common problem. we road along with a chp officer to investigate. >> reporter: in life there's loss you're prepared for and loss you never expected. this is her family before three of her nine children, eli, sarah and eva died in a can collision with the big rig that critically injured her son, aaron. they had been driving in the middle of the night to see their father before he died. >> they were trying to say goodbye to my husband but i didn't know what they were doing. >> reporter: according to the california highway patrol the big rig driver had parked illegally in oakland and had gone to sleep. the chp says it happens all too often.
