abc7 sports anchor anthony flores is here with the developing story. >> you can't say it is a huge surprise but it doesn't make it any less disappointing for dub nation. after months of rumors and speculation it is now official. kevin durant's run with the golden state warriors is over. he is going to sign a max deal with the brooklyn nets. kd made the announcement on instagram. he did it at the start of the nba free agency period this afternoon. reports say he is getting a four-year, $164 million deal with the nets. he is joining a brooklyn team that is also addsing kyrie irving and deandre jordan. he is leaving $57 million on the table by not re-signing with the warriors. he load the dubs to two nba titles and won two nba finals mvps in three seasons with golden state. nba free agent details won't be official until they are signed on july th. everyone who thinks the nets are going to be a super team next season hold on, kevin durant is

going to miss most of the season as a result of the ruptured achilles tendon he suffered during the times. klay thompson is expected to sign his mack deal sometime today or tomorrow. nothing official yet. boogie cousins is also a free agent. they want him back. kevon looney. a lot of question marks for the warriors of next year. >> a question mark involving kevin durant as well. achilles ruptures are tough to come back from. >> dominique wilkins is the only one to have that injury and successfully come back from that and play well after having an achilles tendon. other players failed. kobe bryant, never the same after he ruptured his achilles. we will have to wait and see if kevin durant can join dominique in that recovery. we have been sending out updates on the mobile app

it was a picture perfect day to take in some incredible works of art. abc7 news was in oakland's montclair district for the 43rd measure is artwork. they brought in 65 artists for a unique open air art show. enema of the artists were locals. others came from across the country to take part in the event. well a distinguished bird celebrated a big birthday in the east bay. meet lord richard, who turned 45 years old today. he is the oldest turkey vulture in california. he lives at the lindsey wildlife experience in walnut creek. >> he has been a solo turkey vulture which he is fine with. he looks at us as if we are his flock. we have another turkey vulture that he really couldn't care less about. >> lord richard was born at the randle museum in san francisco and came the lindsey at a very young age where he has grown to
