>> our thanks to reggie aqui for that. all this information plus resources and other bay area cities on abc 6 news.com. a toddler was rushed to the hospital after a hit and run and police are looking for the driver tonight. it happened just before 3:00 p.m. on range avenue next to the coddington town mall. police say the child wandered away from adults and hit by a van. the child was unresponsive and taken to the hospital and set to be flown to children's hospital oakland. police are now investigating an apartment complex just down the street from the scene where they found a van matching the description confident suspect's vehicle. we have a crew on the way to the scene and we'll have more details for you at 6:00. i believe at this point that the child was with an adult. the child ran towards the street unbeknownst to the adult and was struck by a vehicle. the vehicle continued on and didn't stop. in union city, one teenager

coast guard members from alameda risk their lives to keep thousands of tons of cocaine from eaching neighborhoods across america. you'll see video of suspected drug runners being captured during a chase off south america. >> a small semi submersible vessel tried to outrun crew members from the cutter monroe last month. those suspects is ignored orders to stop in both english and spanish. coast guard members then jumped from their small boats on to the submarine-like craft and arrested five suspects on board and seized 17 tons of cocaine. those drugs had a street value of more than $230 million. very intense. >> a stolen car went airborne at

mineta san jose airport overnight and caught on video. the county sheriff's office says deputies were education the car after thor refused to pull over. three people took off running from the car. a 14-year-old girl and 18-year-old man weren't caught but deputies could not find the third person. during the commotion, a bystander was bitten by a police k-9 dog. that person was taken to the hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries. the 1-year-old arrested has been identified as anthony zavala. stolen passports, social security cards, ids, credit cards and an aair soft pistol were recovered from the stolen car. >> defendant derick almena. >> was a little less combative as he took the stand for the ghost ship trial in oakland. he and max harriss are charged with mon slaughter in the 2016 fire that killed 36 people.
