a suspected drunk driver is in custody for a hit-and-run accident that seriously hurt a 2-year-old girl. this happened yesterday afternoon in santa rosa. according to the press democrat, the girlfriend was getting into her grandmother's vehicle when she suddenly ran into the street and got hit. the girl has major injuries. she is expected to survive. an officer recognized a white van seen leaving that area, and tracked it to an apartment complex nearby. 47-year-old hector larios was arrested for felony hit-and-run and dui. police say he was involved in another hit-and-run accident just last week. he has multiple past dui convictions. new legal trouble this morning for singer r. kelly. he has been arrested and is now facing new federal sex crime charges. the u.s. attorneys office spokesperson says the r and b singer was taken into custody last night in chicago. the 13 count federal indictment includes child pornography, enticement of a minor and obstruction of justice. kelly already faces similar

hospital. their injuries aren't believed to be life threatening. crews determined there was no structural damage to the building. cab driver told police he lost control of his vehicle after another r hit him f totally sca a person walking across the golden gate bridge had almost no time to react when two surf boards flew off of a car. that person happened to be shooting video of their walk on monday when it happened, and that's when a surf board suddenly came loose. wow, from the car's rack and landed in that pedestrian walkway. we're playing this again. chp tells us that the person who shot the video suffered only minor injuries. certainly could have been worse. the surf board's owner is cooperating with the investigation. a hurt baby bird got a ride to a rescue center in style. the wildlife rehabilitation center of northern utah posted these photos. a man says he found the bird after he and his friends had been drinking. >> okay. >> i'm not sure why that detail is important. he contacted the center who told

near say just south of baton rouge as we head into the morning hours tomorrow and then it goes right up 49, and then across hot springs arkansas and up towards little rock. because of the eastern quadrants where we're going to have the most amount of rain, you can see it's the toe box of the boot of louisiana and mississippi, along interstate 55. they're going to take the brunt of the wet weather. the mississippi is at flood stage, and then you're going to drop 18 to 24 inches, a foot and a half to 2 feet on top of it. it's going to be devastating flooding from morgan city all the way to baton rouge up towards wilson. it's just not going to be good this weekend, unfortunately. >> hate to hear that, mike. we're taking a look at the commute this morning, mostly green on our traffic map. no major incidents to report, our typical slow spots filling in. about 28 miles per hour down to 17 miles an hour, once you make it past that interchange to 580.
