of thousands of undocumented immigrants out of oakland international airport. this was going on from 2010 to 2018. >> now the governing body of the airport is weighing in on that decision. our reporter joins us live from oakland international report. lisa, did the board know about this contract? >> reporter: they say they didn't. in fact, they only found out about it a few days ago. now they have launched an investigation to figure out how this happened. >> it's unconscionable that at the same time the port has been undermining our communities by aiding in the deportation of immigrant workers and their families. >> reporter: outrage at the board meeting. the agency oversees oakland's airport where roughly 43,000 detainees have flown out on i.c.e. chartered airplanes. >> we want no use of our airport by i.c.e. it's an agency working on behalf of a government that is making public threats. >> reporter: oakland is a sanctuary city and considering the flighting originated out of

oakland, many are call thing a violation of city policy. >> certainly we're taking this seriously. and our aim is to ensure the port of oakland meets its sanctuary city commitments. >> it's hard to believe no one knew about it. >> reporter: he expressed his disappointment and frustration. >> we just want to make st does not happen again in terms of deportation of families that are here in oakland. >> reporter: and i.c.e. released a statement tonight saying, i.c.e. made an internal operational decision to discontinue the use of charter flights out of oakland in october of 2018. the agency does not share details pertaining to detainee transfers. that comment just came out a short time ago this evening. lisa amin gulezian, "abc7 news." >> thank you, lisa.

firefighters are keeping an eye on a building in oakland that just burned. the two-alarm fire broke out just before 10:00 tonight but is now out. this is at stanford avenue in occidental street. you can see the flames from this video. it appears the video is under construction. no one we know of was hurt. now to the fatal crash in san francisco last weekend. kelly dean has been upgraded to serious condition. her husband died in that accident. >> tonight, community members met to discuss ongoing safety concerns in the area where this crash happened and what more can be done to prevent traffic deaths. kate larson has the story. >> reporter: the deadly wreck on sunday has put the tenderloin intersection in the spotlight. kelsey cambridge was arrested for speeding through a red light, hitting cars and killing and injuring tourists in a cross walk. but just three weeks prior,

major changes were made in the area, reducing taylor street from three lanes to two, and adding painted wife bu eed whit zones. >> it's davis taevastating. >> reporter: she's pushing for state lawmakers to pass legislation for automated cameras that ticket speeders. >> nationally, it's proven to reduce the number of injuries. >> reporter: on wednesday, they spoke with concerned neighbors about traffic safety. >> there are a lot of residents that are disabled and elderly. you know how hard it is to walk in a cross walk? by the time you get to the middle, it's already red. that's not right. >> reporter: since sunday's wreck, they have added even more

carol's house should have been been finished. >> it will be finished when i see him in jail. that's when it will be finished. the major california electric utilities have agreed to pay $10.5 billion into a fund to cover the cost of future wildfires caused by their equipment. how much pg&e, southern california edison, and san diego gas and electric give depends on each company's risk of catastrophic wildfire and prior safety history. the utilities can use the fund to cover costs from fires caused by their equipment if the damages go beyond what's already covered by insurance. chaos in los angeles. four crime scenes and a 13-hour long man hunt for one suspect who is in custody. >> marci gonzalez has the latest on that investigation. >> reporter: a violent crime spree spread across four scenes in southern california, setting off a 13-hour long manhunt.

>> i have a total of three victims. >> roger. >> reporter: the first call to police coming in at 1:50 thursday morning from this apartment building near los angeles, where the 26-year-old killed his father and brother and shot his mother. less than an hour later, the laps says he killed a female acquaintance and shot her co-worker at this gas station. then just before 8:00 a.m., he tried to rob a customer at a bank atm. at 12:45 in the afternoon, another shooting on a city bus where one person was killed. >> he just got up and shot the dude and everybody just scattered. >> green jaekt, blue dodgers hat. >> reporter: police finally tracking him down, tasing him and taking him into custody. marci gonzalez, abc news, los angeles. san francisco police arrested a suspect in the theft

concord, 68. 70 in livermore. quite warm inland. and the view here, abc 7 looking across the embarcadero. fog near the cost. mild to warm again tomorrow with triple digit heat in our inland areas on saturday and sunday. now, this is why we have the weather we have. this high pressure system over the desert southwest is edging its way to the west here, producing very hot -- warm to hot weather across much of california, including the inland areas in the bay area. overnight, look at fog across the bay. overnight lows in the mild range. tomorrow, another warm day, a mid 60s at the coast, san francisco tops out at 68 degrees. right around the bay, upper seths to low 80s. warm, but even hotter on saturday and sunday. saturday's highs, numerous inland locations top out at 100

degrees or higher. other locations that don't make it into triple digit also be in the upper 90s. sunday even a little warmer or hotter in some inland areas. up to 102, 102 degrees in places like fairfield, antioch. upper 90s around the bayshoreline. low to mid 80s on sunday. monday question get a rather shortstop cooldown as temperatures drop off about ten degrees or more in most locations. so the spike -- heat spike that we experienced over the weekend won't last long. here's the accuweather seven of day forecast. low 90s about as high as temperatures get inland on monday. up to about 80 around the bayshoreline. temperatures drop off more on tuesday, wednesday. after monday, a fairly comfortable week in terms of the high temperature range. it's going to be steamy on saturday and sunday. >> watch out for that. a part of childhood
