approached with the man asking where they could buy drugs. that man led them to a dealer who police say sold them fake cocaine. the two angry allegedly going back to the scene and stealing the backpack of the man who pointed with they will to the dealer. video capturing two men running away after the theft. police say the man called with his own phone that was in the backpack and spoke to the two americans. he says they offered with him in exchange. his backpack for 100 euros and a gram of cocaine. he went to the police and ended with with the officer stabbed with eight times. the 0 two then went back to the hotel preparing to leave the country when officers moved with in. investigates say they found overwhelming evidence in the room including the supposed murder weapon cleverly concealed with behind one of the ceiling tiles and bloody clothing. at a hearing this weekend, both waived with their right to speak.

dotion can made during business hours monday through friday at the sake ret heart offices, 1381 south first street? san jose. >> developing news in the north bay, hazmat crews still cleaning up this fuel tanker that flipped with on lucas valley road in san rafael at about 9:00 this morning. that tanker was carrying 6400 gallons of fuel. fire crews estimate about 250 gallons spilled with into a dry creek bed. news reporter kate larson got scene a short time ago. >> reporter: hey, guys, i'm on lucas valley road up in marin county. you can see over my shoulder, that is an overturned with gas tanker. it happened around 9:00 this morning on lucas valley road. it's very windy. trucks that are longer than 36 feet are the not allowed to be here. this truck is about 50 feet. it tried with to take the turn. thca couldn't a t cab and the tanker overturned with into that ditch.

there's a lot of reasons as dramatic as this scene is we're lucky today. the driver of the truck minor injuries, six stitches. that's what i'm told. and then the other thing is as you feel outside today, if you're here in the bay area, it's hot today. it's breezy and that is a full tanker truck of gasoline that was headed with to a gas station. thankfully, there is wasn't enough of an impact to ignite any of the fuel because we are in a dry ditch way up in the mountains. we're just surrounded by fuel that is waiting to burn. so it's really a disaster averted with as awful as this crash is. nobody was killed with and a fire lucas valley road though will be closed for at least the rest of the night and possibly through the week. soxpt delays really all week if you use this road. you can see all the fire trucks

skirz employees will start voting tomorrow on a strike. if it goes through, it could affect california and at least five other states. and be one of the largest strikes in 20 years. the union says the workers have been without a contract for months and contract talks stalled a couple weeks ago. roughly 85,000 employees could walk off the job. the union has accused kaiser of unfair labor practices. kaiser has not commented with on the accusation. >> in the central valley, a farm is planting a corn maze to remember a fallen police officer. corn maze will honor new man

take a look at what an abc news viewer in walnut creek sent us. an adult bald eagle just sitting in a tree chilling out not far from heather farm park it is quite a rare citing. there are only a few that live in the bay area but in the conversation surrounding this bird, several people commented with they have lived in walnut creek for decades and have never seen a bald eagle. >> abc7 news is committed to building a better bay area. tonight we take a look at a community effort to save a playground art installation. abc news was in oakland at lakeside park for the dedication of the newly restored with mid century monster placed there all the way back in 1954.

in the east bay today for a high in oakland. other spots 100 degrees fur a second day in a row. we're tracking refreshing air on the way tomorrow. live doppler 7 showing you the fog footprint is very limited with right along the immediate coastline and that's about it. the tam cam will take you outside, a live look. the air quality right now is on the moderate to poor side. a little bit of haze in our atmosphere from this vantage point. it is a spare the air day in effect right now. we'll find better air for tomorrow. take a look at the changes headed with our way over the next 24 hours. highs today, in concord, 101. tomorrow some 18 degrees cooler with a forecasted with high of 83 degrees. we're going back into the 70s for redwood city. the same for napa, oakland, the 60s for the city tomorrow. san jose 8 degrees cooler tomorrow. a high of 80 degrees. it will feel a lot nicer tomorrow. numbers right now still pretty warm. 4 in concord, 88 in fremont.

67 in the city. and san jose right now at 81. here's the reason why we were so hot. live doppler 7 along with satellite, this area of high pressure was controlling the weather over the past two days acting like a heat pump bringing in heat from the southern california. that's now pushing off to the east taking heat with it. what will move in is this trough bringing in cooler air starting tomorrow and it will last for several days. so overnight tonight, clear skies early on in a lot of spots. fog coming back. temperaturewise we'll drop into the 50s. so tonight is a cooler night compared to last night. as we look at the fog forecast, first thing tomorrow morning, 7:00 in the morning, we'll show you where the cloud cover is stretching as far as oakland is, south into hayward. patchy fog treatment. coastal drizzle, as well before the fog pulls back to the coast for a lot of sunshine tomorrow afternoon. the south bait 80 in san jose. 79 in santa clara.
