>> the community is vowing to remain strong and not giving into fear. jobina fortson is live with how the victims are being remembered. >> reporter: there was a huge showing of support for the grieving community last night. the man that organized the vigil outside of the city hall said he thought maybe 20 or 30 people would show up, but close to 1,000 people showed up because everybody wants to help this community move forward, and it was not just people in gilroy but other places as well. three young lives lost, ages 6, 13 and a man in his 20s, and on top of that the person responsible for this was one of their own. last night's vigil put a focus on those killed and everybody else working to heal. heal. >> this is my hometown, and something horrible happened and

an ak-47. the owner of the store where he bought the weapon posted on facebook, i did not know this individual and he ordered the weapon off my internet page. he's believed to have posted a message on instagram before the attack. a sociology professor said the book is popular in far right groups. >> it's part of a much larger set of propaganda literature that folks that identify with different aspects of white supremacist w as a way to support their beliefs. >> and that book celebrates wolf type of attacks. >> another person wounded in the attack is a 12-year-old girl

abc7news.com. more survivor stories are emerging from the shooting. >> we are learning new details about a bay area teen accused of murder in italy and it's not the first time he faced serious trouble. that's all ahead, but first it's 4:35. let's go over to meteorologist, mike nicco. >> good morning. i will start with the east bay shoreline where we are seeing an expansion of the clouds, if you will, and a slight chance of mist and drizzle. most of us around 57 to 59 degrees. let's expand this, and a lot of mid to upper 50s, just about everywhere until you get to concord, and the usual warmer spots, low to mid-60s for you. with the clouds increasing during the morning don't be surprised if there's patchy drizzle here and there especially the closer you are to the coast. it will be cool this morning but

warm this afternoon if you are headed back to the inland neighborhoods on mass transit, and we have a small craft advisory for the entire bay, if you will, or all areas of water. here's a look at the peninsula. cloudy through 9:00 and start to break out sunshine after that. and then low to mid-70s with total sunshine this afternoon. here's the south bay. we get sunshine a little quicker, about 9:00. then we will hang on the mid to upper 70s. head for our east bay valleys. we will see sunshine a little bit quicker, and maybe the clouds will hang around a little bit through 11:00. hanging out in the low to mid-80s this afternoon, again, about 20 degrees cooler than over the weekend. it felt really good yesterday afternoon. you said something about you were on the back porch -- >> yeah, reading my book and it was beautiful. >> slept great last night. let's hope we can do it again for the next couple nights. what are you watching this morning? >> it's quiet, and that's the way we like it especially if you

welcome back at 4:52. as we go into the lunch hour, look at the clouds still around from about sausalito, tiburon southward towards san mateo bridge. that area like yesterday, pretty cloudy. in the afternoon hours you will thin out, but notice the clouds along the coast. they will be stubborn but will let go a little bit as we have a small craft ties for breezy conditions so watch out for those. the a's are taking on the brewers, a quick two-game set. tonight let's look for more fun. a hacker got her hands on

the personal data of more than 100 million people that applied for credit cards. the fbi has arrested a seattle software engineer in connection with the breach. no credit card numbers or log-ins were released but social security numbers and bank account numbers were compromised. investigators say they tracked down paige thompson because she allegedly posted the stolen information to a site using her actual name and e-mail address. her roommate says he thinks she didn't mean to hurt anybody. >> had no infairious intentions with the data. >> capital identity protections. a mechanical issue

experienced not long after taking off, and it had to circle four hours before it could land back at the airport. it finally did so around 7:00 last night and nobody was hurt. back to me, so let's talk about what's going on with your forecast. i want to show you what it looks like from the roof camera, it's 55 degrees. here's a look at the temperatures today versus average. one degree cooler than average. san rafael, and you can see san francisco and san jose, four degrees below. concord and redwood city five to seven degrees cooler than we should be this time of the year. if you put off the yard work over the weekend, this is about as warm as it's going to get. this is out near antioch, low to mid-80s. everywhere else, 60s and 70s. here's a look at wednesday. looks like today, however you can see a few exceptions. we start to hit 91 in antioch,

and 90s around cloverdale. then friday, that's probably the last day where we are going to have minimal 90s, places like antioch because it just keeps get aing warmer through the weekend. let's get back to sue with the commute. if you have to be up this early on this tuesday morning, we have a look at the east shore freeway, and from our emeryville camera, you can see everybody is moving up the limit here. once you get into the toll plaza, we have slight delays for the cash pay lanes, they are getting through nicely. no metering lights yet. we will check back on your bay bridge commute in just a little bit. overall we are looking good with a lot of green out there with the exception of the early-morning commuters from tracy where the 205 and 580 merge up towards the altamont

pass. a little slowing there but a 35-minute ride as you make your way towards livermore. from highway 4, hercules to the mayse, and then the bay bridge, a 27-minute drive all the way from hercules into san francisco at this time, and your drive to sfo from there is about ten minutes. >> thank you. sorry, mom, mini vans are not selling like they used to. sales rebounded a bit after the recession but have fallen 32% over the last two years. the minivan share overall in the u.s. market is under 3%. if only our eyes worked more like an iphone, and if san diego researchers have their way, you just might be able to. the lenses are suppose to give wearers a better look at things far away like binoculars do.
