let's start down in the south bay. your neighborhood temperatures from campbell at 56 to mountain view at 63. we're pretty much seeing that everywhere else. mid to upper 50s in the north bay. 63 in alameda. 59 in redwood city, san carlos and san francisco. 57 in danville. the rest of the neighbors low the mid 60s in the east push in francisco. i think they'll stop right about there as we've got a really robust area of high pressure

a multimillion dollar super yacht crashed into a marina overnight. mechanical issues caused the engine to get stuck on full speed. luckily no one was injured. several boats were crushed in this crash. new at 6:00, a school district has stopped a science teacher from handing out an infographic to explain gender identity. it's called the gender unicorn. found on the website for transstudent educational resources. the teacher who passed it out at the middle school identifies as as them. the teacher distributed it in class and asked the student to refer to them as mx rather than mister. the principal was in the classroom and told the teache to stop. >> probably was not appropriate in the way the handout looked. it looked like it needed to be filled out. it was probably the wrong tool. >> some parents upset.

to use the sales force transit center. it closed a few weeks after its grand opening because of cracked beams. abc 7 news reporter jobina fortson is live with the day that commuters have been waiting for for a while, jobina. >> reporter: good morning. commuters have been so excited. i was chatting with a woman sitting on one of the buses behind me. this morning buses will drop off and leave from the sales force transit center. i've seen people walking around in yellow shirts making sure everyone knows where they're going. ac transit operates 26 bus lines from the third floor deck as well as four early bird express lines. one treasure island bus from the deck. all other buses on the ground e for the first time in ten months since those cracked beams were discovered. the bus deck was the last major transportation component that needed to reopen. the main advantage of the bus

deck is that one lane goes directly from the upper deck of the bay bridge to the transit center. >> it's what we know about the rider experience, it's two-hold. one, it allows our riders to be inside and out of the elements. two, it's a time savings. we know from the dedicated lane that brings our buses from the upper deck of the bay bridge directly here. the benefit is we can see a ten-minute savings in time. over the next year or so, you can expect to see more changes around here. stores, restaurants and a rooftop park will open throughout the complex. again, just a really exciting day out here. commuters are very happy to be inside and out of the elements. live in san francisco this morning, jobina fortson, abc 7 news. it is 6:34. on to develop news, the medical examiner in new york city has not yet released details on the death of millionaire financier jeffrey epstein inside a federal jail.

he was found hanging in his jail cell on saturday morning. the justice department is looking into the sex trafficking suspect's final hours. abc news chief legal analyst dan abrams provided insight about possible conspiracy theories regarding his death. >> there's no evidence at this point to support any of the theories about some well-connected person ordering epstein to be killed. that puts you back to the more likely scenarios which is some combination of negligence with good luck on the part of epstein. >> you can hear more from dan abrams on "good morning america" at 7:00 on abc 7. on the peninsula, san bruno police arrested a lyft driver accused of assaulting a woman. she says he picked her up outside a bar and took her to his home in tracy and that's where he raped her. the woman said she called a lyft for a ride because she was

intoxicated. tonye kolokolo faces charges of rape. in the east bay, jury deliberations resume this morning in the ghost ship fire trial. this is the sixth day the jury will meet to decide the fate of derick almena and max harris. if a verdict is reached in the morning, it will be read in the afternoon. if jurors reach a verdict in the afternoon, then it will be read tomorrow. this is to allow family members of the victims time to get to the courthouse. happening today, people can start making claims against pg&e for losses they surchd during the wildfires in 2017 and 2018. they can submit their claims through the wildfire assistance program. later this week the court will hold a hearing on pg&e's liability stemming from the 2017 tubbs fire that swept through parts of santa rosa.

we'll start to break it off a little bit. you can see nothing around the bay, inland, all the way throughout the afternoon hours today. i think the cloud cover may be just a littlro forecast compared to what's really going to happen. temperatures in the mid to upper 60s at the coast. mid to upper 80s in the south bay. low to mid 90s. los gatos, morgan hill and gilroy. we'll be in the low to mid 80s most of the peninsula, redwood city always the hot spot, 88 degrees. upper 60s to near 70 along the coast. 70 in daly city. mid to upper 70s in downtown and south san francisco with mid to upper 80s through most of the north bay. north of santa rosa low to mid 90s. our hottest temperatures, low the mid 90s. it does cool off nicely at night. mid 50s to mid 60s. my accuweather seven-day forecast, hotter tomorrow, hottest wednesday and thursday. even friday warmer than average. those 60s, 70s and 80s are sure going to feel good saturday and sunday.
