>> this year, there will be differences how middle school is structured with safety and new crossing guards. at roosevelt middle school, good morning, amy. >> reporter: hi. good morning. this is one of two middle schools with a redesign this year. mayor breed will be visiting it. that will be exciting for the kids at this school. the mayor is stressing the importance of being safe around schools, driving safely around the schools. you will see police officers around the schools this week. police officers will be around to remind everyone to slow down. she will be providing crossing guards at 106 schools. the mayor is saying, quote, we have several ongoing initiatives to insure year-round safety for pedestrians and basicallyists and a few extra measures in place to make sure students can

cook made a compelling argument about tariffs, where apple makes most of its products in china and apple and samsung make most of its products in countries not subject to a 10% tariff starting later this year. some business economists fear president trump's policies could be pushing the u.s. to a recession that begin this year. 40% expect a slower economy to dip into a recession in 2021. president trump sees it differently. >> i don't see a recession. the world is in a recession right now. although that's too big a statement, if you look at china, china is doing very very poorly. they had, i just saw a report they had the worst year in 27 years because of what i've done. >> worry kicked in for manyy, w street's biggest drop in 2019.

a missing hiker in trinity has been found dead. daniel cohence went on a hike nine days ago. this shows the search and rescue effort. crews from marin county and contra costa county were sent to help. it appears he may have fallen. a little boy's survival may hinge on whether his family can extend their visa in the u.s. to keep being treated at stanford.

this is 20-month-old that suffers from spinal muscular atrophy. his parents noticed he had trouble moving and breathing at one-month-old. he couldn't receive life saving treatment in armenia and went to stanford for a clinical trial. >> he needs permanent follow-up and clinical treatment for lungs and physical and occupational therapy. >> but the family's temporary visa expires next month. immigration authorities decide visa applications on a case by case basis. a woman rushed to the hospital thinking she had kidney stones. turns out she had triplets. she said she had kidney stones in the past and sure that was what she was feeling. she also experienced labor pains in the past because she has given birth to two kids. she and her husband didn't realize she was pregnant again

and certainly didn't know she had three babies. >> you don't ever see triplets conceived naturally. i went into the hospital thinking i had kidney stones and ended up in labor overnight. crazy. >> the children are still in the hospital. the community has donated money to help them prepare for the triplets home coming. there was no baby shower and you really need a baby shower when you have three kids. >> goodness gracious. so glad they're healthy. you hear about these stories but triplets, one for the books. >> kidney stones? triplets. >> comparable agony? who knows? >> maybe. i've passed a few in my time. >> oh. >> it hurts. i have to think labor has to be
