it looks hot right now because it is hot. these are our forecast features. low clouds will develop -- continuing to develop near the coast and bay overnight. it will be hot inland again tomorrow, but a much cooler pattern begins on wednesday and that's going to bring us several days of cooling. overnight, though, it won't cool down much. lowes will be in the upper 50s to low 60s with a little fog at the coast. a patch or two out over the bay. and we're going to take a look at what's bringing that moisture up into our area, remnants of what was tropical storm ivo pushing up into southern california right now. it will eventually work its way up into the bay area giving us that muggy feeling along with the relatively hot conditions we're going to have. so tomorrow look for lingering low clouds early part of the day. by afternoon as the temperatures rise, so will the humidity. that will give us that muggy effect. so a look at scattered highs or assorted highs for tomorrow. 98 at cloverdale, 88 vallejo, 100 fairfield. 91 san jose. right around the bay shoreline we'll see low to mid 80s and some low to mid 70s on the coast

tomorrow. now let's skip over to the tropical atlantic where tropical storm dorian is bearing down on barbados right now. it's expected to stay on a track that will intensify into a category 1 hurricane late tomorrow night as it approaches puerto rico late and early wednesday. and then over portions of the dominican republic on saturday. still as a category 1 hurricane, but then it's expected to weaken as it continues plowing eastward toward south florida. we'll keep watching that for you to see how that affects conditions in the southeast u.s. here's the accuweather seven-day forecast. notice a nice little drop in temperatures on wednesday. only low 90s inland, low 80s around the bay. that's fairly typical in december this year. temperatures drop thursday and friday. possibly a little below average this time of year. saturday and sunday temperatures bounce back again to the low to mid 90s. doesn't look like we'll have quite the intense heat we have now, but there will be a weekend

have taken place in new jersey. >> a spanish man claimed the title of the first person to cross the pacific ocean on a stand up paddle board when he arrived in hawaii. the endurance athlete padled from san francisco june 9th in his attempt for this record. reporter jim mendosa has an amazing story. >> aloha. welcome to hawaii. >> thank you. >> how are you doing? >> fine. >> reporter: this was antonio de la rosa's first contact with another human being since he paddled away from san francisco on june 9th. the ultra eurce athlete from spain is the first person to cross the pacific ocean as a stand-up paddleboarder. >> for me and for everybody. >> reporter: he covered about 2,500 miles of open ocean using wind, currents, and elbow grease. >> no, no motor, only the motor is -- this is the motor. the food and drug administration is calling on pharmaceutical companies to include men in clinical trials for breast cancer. the fda hopes the inclusion of men will help develop drugs that can treat those suffering from the disease. male breast cancer is very rare, making up less than 1% of cases. however, mortality rates are higher than women primarily because there s less awareness in men. treatments are based on studies and data collected from women. >> well, textbooks, notebooks, a pencil box, just some of the things that may be inside your child's back pack. >> yeah, but carrying all that weight can actually hurt them. reporter mandy gaither has a look at how to keep your kids pain free. >> reporter: it is not a problem one expects in youth. >> it is a number of i see backpa. >> reporter: loaded back packs
