the golden gate bridge. definitely cooler this morning. temperatures in the mid-50s to near 70 at 7:00. 62 at the coast. 72 around the bay, and we will get watcher, and 80 around the bay, and 64 at the coast and 60s and 70s. another comfortable evening just like last night on the way. let's get to the commute. hi, francis. >> here's a live shot of westbound 80 for headlights moving westbound through berkeley and emeryville. the drive time right now from the carquinez bridge westbound down to the maze is already 34 minutes, and we have slowing out there, including waiting times at the bay bridge toll plaza. it's backed up with metering lights already on. the san mateo bridge shows things crowded on the right-hand side.

developing news, the ntsb will arrive in southern california today to investigate the deadly boat fire near santa cruz island. >> 25 people confirmed dead. it will take a while to identify them because of the conditions of the body. nine people are still missing this morning. among them is one woman social media page said she's the co-owner of worldwide diving adventures. jobina fortson is live with more on the company. >> reporter: good morning, natasha and reggie. a diver in the northbound which is familiar with conception, which is the name of the boat involved here, said the sleeping quarters were at the bottom of the boat with one stairwell leading in and out of the area,

so you can only imagine the chaos that was going on. we are also learning that social media posts are claiming a few people from the santa cruz people who were on the boat including the diving instructor and co-owner of worldwide diving adventures, and they advertised a weekend dive trip to the northern channel islands, and detailing the group would be sleeping on what is called a live aboard. we have audio from the early-morning may day call, and you can hear the challenges they faced. >> it's an engulfed boat. main objective is to look for victims. >> neighbors also told abc7 news off camera she and her husband

are both dive instructors, and it appears her husband was leading a second dive trip in costa rica this weekend. developing news on hurricane dorian. the category 3 hurricane remains a major threat to the east coast. there have been evacuation orders. government officials say at least five people have died. homes and businesses are destroyed and now they are dealing with flooding. live doppler 7 showing dorian off the coast of florida. all flights in and out of ft. lauderdale and orlando are canceled at this point. we with a man that was on one of the last flights.

kwra carolinas. at 6:05. we want to take a live look in florida this morning. you can track dorian as it moves towards the east coast on the abc7 news app and online. a relative tells abc7 news, a woman was reportedly just leaving a wedding reception after midnight yesterday when a stray bullet hit her. this happened on 21st avenue and east 22nd street. a fight at the other end of the street escalated and somebody started firing. loved ones are raising money for a funeral on gofundme. the man suspected of driving on to the tarmac of oakland international airport was found dead. his body was found about five miles from where his car was found on sunday.

a man rammed through a gate at the airport, and he was chased for two miles when he jumped into the san francisco bay. investigators found air soft weapons, hoods and a mask inside of his car. it's 6:07. do not plan on buying paper tickets at powell street station in san francisco. >> paper is over. powell street joins embarcadero station and 19th street in oakland. downtown berkeley is going to be next. an east bay man is in a battle with these three wild pigs. the solution that could save his lawn and the pigs, too. airport panic. the investigation into what caused an alarm to go off forcing dozens of passengers outside. and it still looks like summer outside and will feel like summer as we head into the afternoon hours as te

now. let's take a look at other neighborhoods. belmont, san leandro and santa clara at 60. here's a trip across the golden gate bridge. watch out in the afternoon hours, if you are walking the pets. peninsula starting at 59 at 7:00, and sunshine by 10:00. we hit 80 this afternoon. as far as the clouds in the south bay, they should be almost gone between 9:00 and 10:00, and so will the 60s. we will jump in the olow to mid-80s this afternoon, and accuweather 7 day forecast coming up. we have anident for folks commuting from fairfield, and traffic is heavy as you make your way through fairfield.

also in discovery bay, westbound 4 at port hole, an earlier injury crash still may be blocking the right lane. traffic heavy in the westbound direction. in san jose there was an earlier fatal accident where a car hit a pedestrian on the story road off-ramp, and lanes are blocked so you may want to consider tully road as an accident. we have details on a chaotic evacuation at the airport. an employ hit an an an an people he approached ran off. dozens of people were seen on the tarmac waiting for police to get there. we have more about the story coming up on "good morning america." and two people robbed a popeye's because the

morgan hill and gilroy. two areas that could reach the 90s, and you have got 82 to milpitas and santa cruz. we will have mid to upper 60s along the coast with pockets of sunshine today. low to mid-70s downtown. south san francisco, a delight full afternoon coming our way. mid-80s to near 90 through the northbound valleys. east bay shore, low to mid-80s until you get to san leandro, oakland and berkeley. mild temperatures for san ramon and pleasanton, everybody else around 90 to 94. another couple degrees of cooling tomorrow and then hanging in the upper 80s to 90 inland, thursday through the weekend. mid to upper 70s around the bay, and the mid-60s stick at the coast. a hot stop developing on

northbound 101 past shoreline. there's a new accident involving several vehicles, so traffic will slow on northbound 101 through mountain view. we will keep you posted on that. southbound traffic is on the right-hand side. there was an earlier accident also reported southbound 680 at monument, but i think that just cleared to the shoulder. also, we will check out the very foggy ride across the golden gate bridge, but traffic light out of marin county. as we show you drive times, it has been slow and go all morning long. westbound 580, tracy to dublin now over an hour. here's the latest on dorian. you can see the eye collapsing right there. we will hope it will continue to weaken, but that's a sign it's moving more to the north at a faster pace. rainfall amounts not going to be a real issue until you get to the carolinas, and you can see the reds and oranges. you are getting eight inches to a foot of water with a seven-foot storm surge. mike, our hot spot on mountain view on northbound 101 onshore line. sen cars could be involved in the crash and the middle lanes could be blocked. traffic heavy on northbound 101 from 237 past shoreline. also in fairfield we had a couple accidents, another one at travis that has been cleared but tr traffic is heavy westbound 80 through fairfield and to the core delia junction.

this may be a better option here as you head through the lower part of the peninsula. >> thank you, francis. we want to bring you breaking news. this was the scene at story road near the off-ramp from southbound highway 101. a pedestrian was hit by a car around 4:00 this morning. the westbound lanes on story road between highway 101 and felipe avenue will be shutdown until 9:00 a.m. and now to the news from hurricane dorian, and take a look at the view from above, nasa astronaut took the photos yesterday. dorian weakened lightly but still is a very powerful storm. let's take a look at hollywood, florida. about 100 miles away in the bahamas, dorian has caused

east bay hills, if you just woke up, you got up about five hours after the rest of us. a steady weather pattern as we can expect this time of the year. no wild swings yet. you can see by noon most of it is pulling back. a few pockets will still linger. even that will evaporate this afternoon. temperatures from 82 to milpitas and 93 in morgan hill. an 8-degree spread in the city. we will try to touch 70 downtown, and more sunshine. sausalito, 75, but you get into the valleys and hit mid-80s to near 90 degrees, and along the east bay shore, upper 70s and berkeley. low to mid-80s elsewhere. we will have upper 80s to mid-90s for the interior

bay neighborhoods. 60s at the coast all week, and around 76 to 78 for the bay. 88 to 90, and that's a pretty quiet weather pattern. we have slow spots out there on the peninsula, and mountain view, an earlier crash has been cleared from the lanes but traffic heavy from sunnyvale to the scene, and it's clearing up so hopefully we will recover soon. there's a new crash further down the road on 101 at sfo. looks like lanes could be blocked on the sfo off-ramp for the accidents. there's a backup at the tolls and a crash reported across the span but that has been cleared from the lanes. here's a live shot of 101 in san jose. that's 880 running across your screen. southbound 101 on the story road
