>> ghost card officials have recovered 33 people, one person is still missing. the ntsb says divers are also using sonar equipment to document the area. that boat is sitting upside down in about 65 feet of water. investigateers also say the conception did not have sprinklers, but it wasn't required to have them. coast guard officialsayey've ro. we've learned at least 15 of the victims are from northern california including a berkeley couple. jobina fortson is live with the update. >> reporter: good morning, reggie and couple mass say. daniel garcia and his partner you lay yeah were aboard the board on labor day weekend. friends confirmed to us that they did not survive. friends say garcia was the software engineer and developer behind fast l.e.d.

tenaja fire. it probing obroke out around 4: yesterday and there's no containment. lightning strikes were seen in the area. so far there have been no reports of injuries. in the east bay, firefighters are guarding against flare-ups from a condo fire in pleasant hill. flames were shooting out of the window as fire crews arrived at the complex along gregory lane last night. you can see just how huge the flames were. firefighters battled to keep the fire from spreading. investigators are working to find out exactly what started this fire. developing news on hurricane dorian as it approaching south carolina. the winds have picked up again. now the storm is back to a category 3. here is a live look at the conditions in charleston. this is courtesy of the abc affiliate there. you can see not too much, and the camera shaking there because of those nearly 50-mile-an-hour winds. the city's big guest concern is

francisco. we have 60 in walnut creek, fairfield, pittsburg and tracy in the low toa pretty mild morn. i don't-ku see some of the mist hanging in the air from south beach. cool to warm mass transit today, gusty breezes everywhere on the bay today. east bay valleys, 60s through 9:00, 74 at 11:00 and low to mid 80s for most of the afternoon hours. let's take a look at the peninsula. stuck in the 60s through 11:00. we should be in sunshine by then. then we'll have mid 70s as we head deeper into the forecast. then we will deal with the south bay which will have 60s through 9:00 and then ill guess we'll hang out with temperatures in the upper 70s with sunshine during the afternoon hours in the south bay. want to turn it back over to frances and talk about what's going on with the accident out there. looks pretty bad. >> we've got a horrible problem. we have a traffic alert.

a sig alert has been issued for this overturned big rig that caught on fire carrying live chickens. this live shot is from our abc 7 reporter amy hollyfield who is stuck in the backup. she's been sitting in this backup now for almost half an hour. this is on westbound 80 at san pablo dam road, and all lanes are blocked. traffic ask is paernt /* /- is apparently being detoured and you the get right back on. plan on at least half-hour delays right now. chp does not know when this will be reopened. i want to show you on the maps exactly where that is. westbound 80 at san pablo dam road. that's where the freeway is shut down. your alternates around this which are already going to take you at least half an hour at this point, you may want to consider the richmond parkway to 580. or if you're coming from solano county, head over to 680 and highway 24.

going on. we still have thunderstorms possible around yosemite and also up towards tahoe. hug the novato border. even to the east of san diego and los angeles, between there and palms springs in the higher elevations we have thunderstorms possible. if you're heading to the tahoe starting tomorrow, the threat of thunderstorms should be average dropping from an average of 77 down to 71 on sunday. there's a new security headache for facebook. the phone numbers of more than 400 million facebook users turned up in an unprotected online database. up until april of 2018, people could enter another person's phone number to find him or her. facebook shut down that feature in the wake of the cambridge analytical scandal. the company says the database is old. it's been taken down. facebook says there's no evidence that any accounts were compromised. actress scarlett johansson is in the headlines for defending woody allen. his daughter accused him of

sexual abuse. johan ssson says she's talked about the abuse quite a bit and she believes he's telling the truth. she says she would work with allen any time. a controversial bill cracking down on medical exemptions for vaccines is headed to governor newsom, but the governor is demanding changes. under the bill, state health officials can investigate doctors who issue more than five medical exemptions a year. 06 fishls could deny or revoke exemptions. newsom thinks parents should be able to keep existing exemptions. he also wants doctors to be able to provide evidence to a review panel in their decisions are challenged. here at abc 7, building a better bay area means a lot of things, including young community members to dream big and be bold. that was the message at the newly opened chase center where a group of young women was treated to a celebrity guest. kate larsen was there for the

store in campbell. the fire broke out yesterday morning. firefighters say the fire started in the building's exterior which is what is prompting the investigation. the fire was contained to a corner of the building and a small portion of the store's roof. luckily no animals died in the fire and no one was hurt. restoration work is set to begin later this month on san francisco's ferry building. it's meant to preserve the building's history. they have a special blend of paint called ferry building gray that will cover the exterior. it will be a close match to the building's original color. portions of the facade will be repaired. windows, trim and decorative elements will take about two years. east palo alto has millions in federal money to finish infrastructure projects on one of the city's main woman. congresswoman jake i can spear handed the sit they ceremonial check yesterday.

it will be used to widen bay road. bike lanes will be added. bay road las suffered from flooding in the past, and the city says the project will clear the way for new housing and business projects. in the east bay a san francisco favorite is coming to downtown berkeley. tartine bakery is planning to open the newest location inside the graduate, the historic hotel one block south of uc berkeley's campus. it will serve bread, pace strays and. this is the fifth bay area location and it is the first that will be outside of san francisco. so i hope they like lines. >> is it good? >> it's good. there are two of them in my neighborhood. i have been several times. have you ever stood in line for it, mike? >> no, i have not. thank you for doing it for us.
