along here. but there is a crash on 87 at kirtner. southbound 101 at university, there's an accident on the peninsula in palo alto, that's not causing much of a slowdown. the slowest drive is west downed 580 tracy to castro valley is over an alley. developing news in san francisco. police aring looking for clues after two people were shot. this happened at 17th and mississippi street around 10:45 last night. police have not said if they made arrests. there's no word on how the victims are doing. the nation is coming together to honor the victims who lost their lives in the 9/11 terrorist attacks. >> san francisco firefighters are holding remembrance ceremonies and the public is invited to attend. amy hollyfield is live at fire station 5. good morning. >> good morning. firefighters here say they will

never forget and always pause on this day every year to remember the victims. we have video from a past ceremony to show you what this looks like. the firefighters will hold a moment of silence and read the names of the 343 firefighters who lost their lives on 9/11. it's been 18 years. there are now firefighters in san francisco who are so young they don't remember the attacks. the older firefighters, the xhapd sta command staff promise to make sure this tradition continues. the fire chief said those who raced to the seen show the true means of service before self. she says those who died will always be in their hearts. the public is welcome to attend this morning's ceremonies. we're at station 5. but every fire station will be pausing to remember. this will start at 6:45 a.m. this morning. all the flags in the city will be at half staff today. reporting live in san francisco, amy hollyfield, abc 7 news.

>> that driver was pulled over and given a sobriety test which he failed. he was arrested. neighbors are upset because this is the latest in a string of crashes involving pedestrians. the vision zero program was supposed to reduce the number of crashes, but supervisor matt haney says it is not doing enough so now he's calling for more law enforcement in the area. richmond's police chief stepped down days after the police union's no-confidence vote. the city manager announced allwyn brown's resignation. last week it was only said he was out of the office. critics say brown is responsible for a surge of departures and low morale in the department. now to a story the iteam has been covering since july. the case of two teens from the bay area accused of killing a police officer in rome. the officer's partner is under investigation for not bringing his gun to work. the new development could help the defense.

finn and gabe are charged in the st stabbing of an undercover officer after a drug deal went wrong. the officer died. the officer's partner told authorities they identified themselves as police before the attack, but now authorities say neither officer was carrying his weapon while they were on duty. elder's lawyer is talking about the case to "good morning america." he says the police are to blame. >> their main witness is an admitted liar. he said that both of them said they were police and showed their badges. we know one did not have his bam that night because all of his items were inventoried. >> both teens have admitted their involvement in the attack. happening today, a 24-year-old guatemalan woman who came to the bay area for a life saving treatment will testify before the house oversight committee. isabel bueso moved here in 2003 to take part in a clinical trial for a rare genetic disorder. until now the family received regular extensions to stay here.

welcome back. police in london are calling this a moment of unexplained rage. now they're trying to track down this bicyclist after a camera caught him violently headbutting a pedestrian. police say the cycle ran a red light and almost hit a man. the cyclist got off his bike and headbutted the man. he fell and hurt his arm and also needed stitches near his eye. police are not sure why the cyclist was so violent. developing news of yet another warping to stop using vaping devices. the american lung association
