inside they didn't find anyone until later when they found the men dead in the basement. around 5:30 p.m. black smoke spread through downtown san jose between second and santa clara streets. firefighters climbed to the roof of the building to fight the blaze. >> we know there was a person inside making threats about setting a fire and things like that. >> reporter: a body was found inside the store and confirmed the owner of the adult superstore is the man suspected of arson. there was an eviction notice posted on the store front. >> he's an immigrant and he's trying to keep his business running. he went through a divorce and i think he was having difficulties with a couple things, people trying to shut him down with the business maybe. >> reporter: they rescued one of the firefighters from the blaze. san jose fire confirmed that at looesz four firefighters were

life-threatening injuries. police say if he recovers, he will likely face charges for murder. abc 7 news. also in the north bay a 16-year-old was killed and two others hurt in a high-speed car crash this afternoon. nuvado police say a white car drove into a retaining wall. tlrs 16-year-old was killed. both passengers, 16-year-old boys, were helped out of the wreck by witnesses. witnesses say it was speedbug before it veered off the road and slammed into the wall. the school district will have support staff on hand. and a man suspected of killing an uber driver and -- they say gonzales punched the driver in the face as he road in his car on eastbound -- excuse me for a second.

near elm avenue around 6:00 yesterday. they then received a report of a 16-year-old be withing stabbed and robbed of his cell phone. they identified ruzauls as the suspect. mill valley school officials say they'll have counseling staff on hand as they return to it school tomorrow. they're still working to learn the details of how a man was killed in berkeley. we're seeing the last moments of owhen he was seen alive at a store he was a regular. shutting down an interstate near the bart station. the owner of the store says he sold him a pack of cigarettes. moments later he was struck. the owner believes he may have been jaywalking.
