75 to 82 with sunshine around the bay. total sunshine meets the autumn warmth inland from 75 to 86. everybody is in the mid 60s and mid 70s as we head through friday evening. here's sue. >> problems on the altamont pass, westbound 580. there was road work out there and a couple of big rigs got into it. one rear ending the other. this is a spread of about a couple of miles at least you're down to below 5 miles per hour. they're looking at a drive time of about two hours from tracy up over the at mount into dublin pleasanton. maybe consider the ace train. tat's running on time. we have new details about another scare at san jose state. a 17-year-old student was arrested on campus after investigators discovered a violent threat on social media. >> investigators say the threat was against a student at a high school in cupertino.

larry beil has the details. >> reporter: the student was located on the south campus of the university. >> he went out to the class, made contact with him. took him into custody without incident. he was in possession of a fully loaded handgun. >> reporter: the student was carrying magazines with 31 rounds of ammunition. the weapon is unregistered. police say the parts were purchased online, then modified into a working pistol. >> it's disturbing, challenging as we see these things in the news. we're just very happy this didn't develop into something more serious. >> reporter: homestead high school sent out a notice to parents telling them there will be a police presence on campus for the next few days. the 17-year-old was a member of the school's marching band.

geallejoolice department is facing three more lawsuits alleging racial profiling and excessive force. all involve african-americans who say they were roughed up by officers during bogus arrests. their attorney, john burress, says it is telling that the d.a. has not pursued cases against any of his clients. he said it may take a court appointed monitor to keep the department in line. >> in our view, it is an out of control department where african-americans and brown people are routinely mistreated and subject to unconstitutional stops. >> in a statement vallejo police say they do not comment on pending litigation. happening today, mark zuckerberg will meet with more members of coming to talk about how the social network uses the information it collects from

thousands of people show up. good luck. here is a look from sutro tower. look how clear the air is this morning. our first warming trend begins today. the second is on monday. that's where we have an offshore breeze, which means our fire danger will be increasing tuesday and wednesday. that's something we'll keep an eye on. high pressure here is dominating our forecast. it pushes a split flow in the jet stream, the storm track all around us, nowhere near us. that's why temperatures will jump into the mid to upper 80s in the south bay. sunnyvale at 82. sapt santa cruz at downtown and south san francisco. also sausalito. heading through the north bay, we have mid to upper 80s here. along the east bayshore, richmond and berkeley in the upp upper 70s.
