he released a housing program to end homelessness by 2028 nationwide. new developments in mountain view, the city council voted to restrict where people can park rvs and trailers along many streets. dozens rallied on a ban before rv parking before last night's council meeting. the council voted 4-3 to ban oversized vehicle parking on narrow streets. many homeless advocates believe the new law will disrupt lives. >> most of these people will want to stay in the communities with their families and friends and homes and schools. >> we're trying to balance their concerns and needs with the needs of residents, other people who live in mountain view. >> reporter: mountain view's new raw takes effect june 30, 2020. it applies to mainly residential streets. rv parking will be allowed in many commercial and residential areas. santa clara county approved a ban on the sale of

e-cigarettes to anyone below 21. this after reports of people dying related to lung disease. one in three teens are said to have tried vaping in santa clara county. massachusetts has imposed a four-month ban on the sale of vaping products. seven deaths have been confirmed by the cdc. there's been at least 530 reported illnesses across 39 states and territories so far. in the east bay, people who operate short-term rentals like airbnb can now register their units. the city council approved new requirements for hosts. there's also a ban on non-hosted rentals, meaning owners must be present during the residential period. a short-term rental is a rental dwelling to paying occupants for less than 30 days. the bay area is on high alrwildfires. what one fire department is doing around-the-clock. one particular intersection in san francisco is among the city's most dangerous. police are taking action to make

it is looking good in san rafael, but there is an accident, a car hit a deer early this morning. as you continue your ride to the golden gate bridge, traffic is light. but there is some road work on southbound 101 approaching the bridge. that is scheduled until 5:00 this morning. we're tracking the slow spots around the bay area, westbound 580 always slows out of tracy with an earlier crash at 205 that has been cleared. it's under 30 miles per hour. the drive time right now, tracy to dublin on westbound 580, 34 minutes. westbound 4 looking good, antioch to concord, 13 minutes. we'll have more drive

traffic enforcement at 4th and bryant. the busy intersection turned dangerous for pedestrians and cyclists in recent years. mayor london breed says traffic collisions are unacceptable. >> the problem is we're having too many collisions that are occurring in our city that are causing harm to people an we need to unfortunately step up our enforcement. >> here's what she's talking about. we saw several motorcycle officers assigned to the intersection to keep an eye on drivers. in santa cruz, the city council is considering on whether to allow cannabis lounges. there are already a few in san francisco. that's what you're seeing now. it's only legal to smoke pot in residencies in private residencies in santa cruz. just five more games left for the giants manager bruce boe bochy before he retires. last night the giants extended his career by six innings as san
