throughout the day, you can lose the jacket if you're away from the coast. a cooler afternoon with low 70s. the first one is an injury crash in san jose, northbound 101 at tully. emergency crews were at the scene. they blocked the left lane for a while. they have opened up all the lanes. you can see traffic is slow on northbound 101 towards tully. it looks like they have cleared the lanes. an ambulance to this crash in hayward, southbound 880 atth street. traffic has been throw from 238. a couple accidents, one on eastbound 80 in vallejo and southbound 680 have been cleared from the lanes. backlash from the bombshell report accusing the white house of a coverup. >> the whistle-blower's complaint lays out concerns that president trump used the power of his office to solicit interference from a foreign country. according to the complaint, president trump asked the ukrainian president to

a new poll reveals how they're faring in california. the uc berkeley poll has 29% of likely democratic voters supporting elizabeth warren. 20% support joe biden. 19% are supporting bernie sanders, 8% are supporting senator kamala harris. harris may have an opportunity to rally some home-town support this weekend. she's opening her first campaign office in oakland on sunday. two east bay schools have postponed their football doubleheader scheduled for tonight after threats of possible gang violence. the two high schools canceled prak tessctices for the varsity the jv teams.ppointed players and coaches. >> we were all excited. pumped up.

set off a wave of protests. police chased him on foot after searching for a burglary suspect. officers fired at clark after he moved towards them holding an object that resembled a handgun. it turned out to be a cell phone. the shooting of clark also prompted california law to change for when police can use deadly force. happening this morning, martin luther king junior high school in pittsburg will hold its third annual million father march as part of events around the country today. starting at 8:00 this morning dads and father figures dropping off kids will march through campus. when the students head to class the fathers will be served breakfast. the million father march movement started in chicago in 2004 as a way to encourage fathers to be more involved in their children's education. san jose police announced a new partnership with the amazon ring neighbor's app. police will now have access to an interactive map that allows officers to request footage from camera owners without knowing their identities, but privacy advocates believe programs like these could threaten civil liberties and subject innocent people to greater surveillance. >> they do have the possibility of making people less free.

richmond. elsewhere around the bay it will be a slick start in emeryville and oakland. 70 later on. >> thank you. new at 6:00, a baby humpback whale is rescued from shark nets as its mom is closely watching. the wahale was spotted bay beac goer in queensland. rescuers untangled the whale from the net. the fin and mouth were caught in that net. three hours later baby and mama swam off together. starting today, uber will begin to roll out uber transit. the first will first be available in san francisco before moving to users elsewhere. riders who select transit instead of an uber car option will see three public transit options for their route. each option will include details about travel times, costs and walking directions to your transit station.

complaint under raps for weeks, going first to the white house instead of congress. maguire defended that decision, but he also defended the whistle-blower. claims under wraps for weeks. >> i think the whistle-blower did the right thing. >> reporter: so what's next? analysts say lawmaker also try to corroborate what was said in the whistle-blower complaint and try to officials to do that. in washington, ines de la cueta cuetara, abc news. the highway patrol is trying to learn more about a deadly crash along 680. >> amy hollyfield joins us from pleasant hill with more. >> good morning. i got some new information about the driver who was killed in this accident. he was 38 years old. he was from hayward. we've also just learned more about what was in his car. he was driving the white nissan sentra that you see that crashed. this was on southbound 680 at treat boulevard in pleasant hill. they have not released his name.

he crashed into a dump truck and hit the center divide and flipped. the car was on its roof when officials arrived. the driver of the dump truck is okay. no one else was involved. a o officers say they found a variety of alcohol bottles in his car. all by two lanes were blocked for about two hours creating a sizable backup at the time. but they got it all open before 4:30 this morning and traffic is moving just fine right now. no backup at all. your commute should be fine. officers are asking if anyone witnessed this, saw anything before or after the accident, they're asking that you give chp a call. reporting live in pleasant hill, amy hollyfield, abc 7 news. >> thank you for that update. new this morning, mountain view police are looking for clues after a person was shot. it happened at a home along san

carlos avenue. paramedics transported one gunshot victim to the hospital. so far no word on if anyone has been arrested. police have not said what led up to the shooting. >> developing news, firefighters stopped a wild fair in martinez. flames charred about two akers along sunset drive. the fire broke out last night around 10:00. fire crews are on the scene to make sure the fire does not reignite. cooler temperatures and higher humidity maze it easy to contain the fire. investigators are looking for what sparked the flames. firefighters are also watching for a flair up from a grass fire on mare island in vallejo. yesterday's windy conditions rekindled the fire. it took crews about an hour to bring it under control. this was sparked after five power poles were intentionally cut down, likely by copper

this crash at the macarthur maze. you can see with this live camera shot, it's wet. there's an accident on the westbound 580 connector ramp to eastbound 80. you can see very few cars getting through. traffic is backing up on westbound 580 through oakland. a new crash westbound 580 at 14. on the lower right-hand side, that's cars, those are cars on westbound 80 headed towards the bay bridge toll plaza, which is backed up into the maze. we have had problems in the westbound direction across the san mateo bridge. it's heavy heret section past the toll plaza. it looks like they cleared that problem. there was an earlier injury accident, southbound 880 at 8th street that has been cleared. traffic is backed up through san

late saturday into sunday. developing news, santa clara police issued a plea for help to find the person who attacked a 91-year-old man while visiting his wife's grave site. this happened last saturday morning at the mission city memorial park. this is the latest sketch police have given us of the suspect who attacked the victim with a rock. investigators say the suspect stole some of the man's things and then fled on a bike. >> our investigators have been working on this case tirelessly since it happened. this is an unprovoked and ruthless attack on one of the most vulnerable members of our society. >> that suspect is described as being between 35 and 50 years old, 5'9" to six foot tall with a medium build, with slicked back gray hair and gray mustache. the 91-year-old man was released from the hospital and is recovering at home. in the south day, san jose's

presentation high school is hiring an outside law firm to investigate past reports of sexual abuse and misconduct at the catholic girl's school. several former presentation students claimed that administrators mishandled their complains about sexual misconduct. one student wrote about her experience in the "washington post." presentation hired a law firm that specializes in sexual harassment complains in workplaces and in schools. next friday the movie "joker" hits the big screen, and some are worried this has prompted violence. some theaters banned costumes. army officials in oklahoma alerted soldiers about disturbing online chatter about a shooting at the theater. the 2012 aurora theater shooting happened at "dark knight rises." 12 people were killed. now people think this new showing of joker could inspire another act of violence. others weary of the whole theater experience. >> i don't feel safe going to
