we're looking at those long october nights. the dry air from the north warming us up, 11 degrees warmer compared to yesterday. and these gusty winds to 26 miles per hour at mt. diablo. relative humidity already in the 20% range. with a quick warm -up today, we're watching the winds because the temperatures will be very warm, 80s to 90s with a spare the air alert. no relief in sight until tuesday. >> thank you, lisa. we're keeping an eye on breaking news overnight. new details after four people were shot and killed inside a kansas city bar. five other people were injured but those people are expected to be okay. the first reports of the shooting came in just after 2:00 a.m. our time. detectives now believe there are at least two suspects and they say it does not appear to be a random attack. random attack. >> i do do do

we don't feel ondo t>>gars was used in the attack. we'll of course follow this and bring you any updates as soon as we have any new information. new developments this morning from southern california. investigators are combing through debris after a series of electrical explosions rocked a huntington beach restaurant. crews first responded to three consecutive blasts during an oktoberfest event. it happened when firefighters were investigating the initial explosion and then another one went off. plenty of people were there, of course, enjoying their saturday night when the fire erupted. >> and there was like a ball of flame that came up. wealth it was like maybe part of the show. but then there was another one

and then my friend grabbed my hand and we just started running. then there was a third one. so we just thought the whole place was going to be on fire. >> officials are now thinking an underground electrical vault exploded, but the exact cause remains under a sad ending in the search for a woman who went missing. the 24-year-old's body was found yesterday although it does still need to be officially identified. investigators say she was with friends at mile rock beach near land's end when she went for a swim and got subsequent out by north currents. repairs to highway 37 after flooding in marin county last winter. it has gotten swamped several times in recent years. caltrans will be raising the roadway to try and stop future flooding but construction is

for the warning. mrin county fire has upped staffing as well. >> this time of year, in october, we see our highest risk of fires with rapid growth in the north bay, especially the coastal area. >> reporter: those in the east bay were still on high alert because of the weather. in danville, a four-acre wind-driven fire threatened homes near glen court before noon. >> the only damage was property damage near the fence lines. our fire engines stopped the fire from progressing past the fence lines. >> reporter: in oakland, dozens turned out to clear brush that could ignite this fire season. >> we want to help out and alleviate any possibility of fires. >> reporter: lisa amin gulezian, abc 7 news news. >> the red flag warning will be ending at around 10:00 this

shifting, knocking these numbers down. for now, five to 13 degrees above average. 80s in san francisco and some 80s at our beaches. santa cruz looking at a high of 89 degrees. if you want to head to the coast, today is a great day to do it. how many times do you see 81 at ocean beach, 85 at half moon bay, bodega bay late 70s. it's not until late tomorrow you might feel that. otherwise we're waiting until tuesday. the numbers come down. we'll have a little bit of fog. we'll have a bit of a sea breeze. and then the winds are going to switch into the offshore component again. despite the numbers being near average on wednesday and thursday, we have a stronger offshore wind event that we're expecting by mid-week. highs today in the low to mid-80s in san francisco. 85 in fremont. 91 morgan hill. upper 70s half moon bay. tonight will be clear and cool.

report. 7 on your side helped a san jose woman from being scammed. 7 on your side's michael finney has the details. >> reporter: 80-year-old dorothy is like most grandmothers. she would do anything for her grandson landon. his photographs are all over her san jose home. recently her phone rang. and on the other end, big trouble. >> it sounded exactly like my grandson. and he said, grandma, and i said, yes? he said, grandma, i need your help. and i said, what? and i was oblivious. and he said, i need you to give me some money. >> reporter: she was told he had been drinking, was in a car accident, and had landed in a fresno jail cell. an attorney got on the line and said $7,000 was was was was was

"joker" is about a man who commits acts of violence.

take a look at what happened at a hair salon on long island in new york.
