and thursday. ight we learned that the seven-day potential forecast has moved to psps watch, meaning there is a reasonable chance of executing a psps. power shutoffs but pgy pg&e are again a potential reality this week. >> we have flashlights. we know that we can last for a few days. we don't have food that's going to perish much. >> the risk forecast is expected to last 18-24 hours from wednesday evening through midday thursday. >> we're still in fire season. i wry tremendously. >> in a statement pg&e said, due atrontions and drysidering proactively turning off power for safety and implementing a

public safety power shutoff across portions of 17 sierra foothills and north bay counties. the dry, windy weather pattern is also keeping con fire on high alert. >> we have a lot of dried fuel on the ground, grass, other vegetation that grew abundantly because of the rain last winter. >> today contra costa county's prepositioning tool was also activated. >> we requested of the state today their approval to position a strike team of five additional wild land fire engines, a water tender and a firefighting bulldozer, a strike team to be positioned here to respond anywhere in the county. >> now according to pg&e, the potential shutoff is expected to be smaller in scope and 9-12 ps.

we have a list of the counties that may be impacted on our we know which days to worry about, so how does the weather play into all of this? >> spencer christian with a closer look. >> here's a look at what's going to cause this high fire danger for us around midweek. we've got a big high pressure system building offshore. as it pushes eastward we're going to get from that clockwise circulation around that high pressure system some strong gusty warm winds. that's going to increase fire. a quick look at temperatures coming our way later in the week. tuesday inland highs in the upper 80s to low 90s. for the next three days it looks like high temperatures will be in that range. with the gusty wind and the very dry air and low relative humidity, that means high fire danger. hillary clinton was in the
