these suspects were caught on camera after an assault in san francisco's china town, now, one has been captured. vick lee is live with the latest. this was not an attack on one person but really an attack on an entire community in many respects. >> reporter: that's right, you know, china town residents and merchants took the case personally, believing that they were in the midst of a crime wave here in china town. that security camera footage, a good old fashion police work and

perseverance by investigators made the arrest possible. >> sometimes time goes by, but we didn't give up. it was a painstaking investigation. >> reporter: at 4:00 this morning the police arrested deshawn pearson in oakland for a brutal attack in july, on two senior citizens in china town. walter wong, head of the wong family association was one of the two victims. wong and i walked across the same cross-walk today, where he was attacked. >> translator: something, two person hold me up and raise me up, and then i don't remember anything and fell down on the street. >> reporter: these cell phone stil stills -- show him unconscious on the ground. he later sits up waiting for an ambulance. his friend, came to his rescue. this video shows him being punched and knocked to the ground by the same suspects.

>> we were able to get a clear picture of the suspects in the case. >> reporter: these security camera videos taken near where the assault took place. clear images, close ups of the faces of the suspects allowing the police to identify pearson, the primary suspect. in the after math of the attacks the mayor visited the area to assure residents and merchants that city hall had their backs. this after community meetings here, where angry residents said they were in the midst of a crime wave. and today, with the arrest, a different mood in china down. >> we want to thank the police department, for the officer that worked so hard to help us. >> reporter: president of the six companies was thank. saying that he is even noticed increased foot patrols in china town since the attacks.

late tomorrow, and increasing fire danger in the next two day skms the warm dry pattern will remain with us through friday and here's the red flag warning in affect. for all of the bay area, except the locations around the bay shore line wrmpt the wind is in the north, to northeast, and wind gusting to the higher elevations, and dangerously low humidity and extreme fire danger. overnight, tonight, look for clear skies and mid conditions and warm tomorrow, upper 70s to near 80 on the coast. and we will see mid 80s around the bay shore line and up to 90 inland. here's the accu-weather seven day forecast. thursday, it looks likes it thereby warmest in the forecast period and the dry gusty wind developing tomorrow. and continuing in to thursday, both days present us with high fire concerns. friday, the warmth holds on and the wind should have diminished by then, but, we will not really be out of this high fire concern

and on this nestle dollar, other charged and of.90, the company did correct the fees in days but they did not say how it happened, how much it collected in extra fees or what will happen to the excess funds. it did refund mitch for the extra funds he paid. so, what about you? walmart said only we have fully refunded the customer who brought it to our attention and we will work to refund customers impacted by the charge. >> i think it's a good thing, as long as nobody is getting cheated. >> so far, we have no indication that the in-store prices were wrong. only on the website. walmart did not say how many customers paid double the crv, or how it will refund them. it only says that it is actively

have to park on the street. >> san jose has announced a plan to double the amount of electric vehicle charger stations throughout the city. how do officials hope to do it. chris has the story from the south bay. a part of our efforts to build a better bay area. in the bay area's largest city, a push to get more team in to electric vehicles. >> it's going to be essential for all of the climate goals. as well as our efforts to reduce air pollution, and to get more vehicles out there. >> san jose announced a plan to double the amount of ev charging stations over the next 2-4 years. in partnership with the energy commission, they will distribute organizes and install charging stations in locations. a quarter of them will be designated for low income communities >> it's important, because without adequate charging
