the fire has burned over 23,000 acres. fire officials are bracing for the wind. >> new round of power shut offs. businesses and residences tired of it. >> powerful wind and power shut offs, dry gusty conditions are expect to put parts of the mountains in the dark. >> we have two breaking stories we're following to want. there's the kincade fire. which is more than doubled in size in 24 hours. >> firefighters are battling the weather. which has led to pg&e putting millions of residents on notice. this time tomorrow night you could be without electricity. >> we are preparing for what's likely going to be a widespread safety shut off. >> this will be the strongest event of the year. and if models are right. stronger thanhe october 8 and

9, 2017 fire event. >> so we're lez than 24 hours from the pg&e possible power shut off. effecting 850,000 customers across 36 counties. f the north bay. the shut off would bin tomorrow at 5:00 p.m. for the rest of the bay area 7:00. we begin with hayward. she found lots of customers who could have power turned off. >> we're here at fire station. what people in the affected communities here can expect this weekend are more firefighters, more police officers. more emergency dispatch making sure everything stays calm this weekend. earlier we learned about how businesses and residents are preparing. >> we have a lot of things in place for the last time we thought there was a shower shut

off. >> we're prepared. >> we have flashlights and we'll just go to bed. >> we got through it last time with struggle. >> in neighborhoods on the latest pg&e shut off list. the silver lining is everyone knows what to expect. >> i think it will be the new normal. we shouldn't be okay with that. >> she certainly isn't. she's been in her house for 15 years. she's never experienced a looming threat of blackouts. >> i got a call today saying that they're going to turn it off tomorrow for 24 hours. i don't know whether to believe it or not. because what do we know. >> the uncertainty is a huge headache for the zoo. especially in weekend. because of boo at the zoo. >> potentially we're turning away families kp kids. coming to have a great time at the zoo. trick or treating. >> they're hoping not to turn customers away.

have to shut off power every time there's wind in the summer. and it sound like this is the pattern that pg&e is trying to establish. >> pg&e said tonight it will provide back up generators to keep bart running and the tunnels open and both need lek tris it is in order to operate. >> they said the winds could top what we saw in october 2017. when the north bay was devastated by fire. >> meteorologist joining us now with a closer look at the red flag warning. >> we're expecting dangerous and possibly damaging winds so red flag warning begins tomorrow night for the bay area. for the rest of the region sunday. it goes until monday morning. bind gusts will be from 60 to 80 miles per hour. for the high peaks. 35 to 60 for other locations. low humidity. we have a high wind warning for the north bay tomorrow night through monday morning. and a wind advisory for the bay

it's impossible. >> they are part of nearly 2,000 people ordered to evacuate. eight years ago their home was burned by another wild fire. >> i'm just scared. because this has happened before. and i feel like all of our lives are in danger. >> on her mind her horse. that was rescued this morning. a tiny family member she was surprised to hear her mom was able to take. >> we got the hamster. >> yeah. my hamster i was just worried sick. i thought he was going to die in the fire. >> cal fire confirmed the 49 structures have been destroyed including 21 homes and 28 out buildings. extreme fire behavior expected with gusty wind, picking up saturday night into sunday. >> how does cal fire prepare for this. >> obviously ta look at fires regionally and preparation by region. we have staffing patterns and

additional staffing statewide. it's the old adage of all hands on deck. for an event of this size. >> 1,300 firefighters from across the state are battling flames from the air and ground. we ask cal fire division chief cox to show us the most problematic area. the terrain is steep. >> we have crews of 15 people cutting lining with their hands and chain saws and tools. >> that bat m continues. a total of 50 officers to prevent looting. no death or injury reported at this time. >> thank you. cal the office of emergency services is ramping up for potential fires. they are prepositioning crews. you can see resources are in the nortrn and southern parts of california. they are ready to respond. >> we have more coverage of the planned pg&e power outages. see where they called in a special delivery of propane gas.

>> greed and mismanagement have got us where we are today. with the power shut offs. >> they simply did simply did sd job. >> governor newsom says pg&e will be held accountable for the interruptions and costs associated. and restructured to a completely different entity when it gets out of bankruptcy june 30 next year. it fell 30% to $5 share. the previous record low was $6. $6.36 in mid-january. about two weeks after it filed for bankruptcy. planned power outages are not just limited to pg&e. southern california ed son has been cutting wild fires to homes. it turned off power to nearly 15,000 customers. >> if you notice the smell of smoke in the air.

or a haze. that's from the kincade fire. the smoke drifted to the south. it was picked up by our net work of cameras. sky 7 was over the fire this evening. you can see the enormous plume it's putting up. creating quite a backdrop as the smoke created an orange glow. we got a spectacular sunset. this evening. because of the smoke filling the air. this was taken from our camera which was pointed towards the golden gate bridge. >> it's almost beautiful. eerie at the same time. we know what's causing it. >> so dangerous. for so many people. meteorologist with a look ahead at what could be a troubling weekend. >> that's why i'm really hoping that the crews can get control or of this kincade fire. the conditions have been favorable in terms of wind. it's gusting to 17 miles per hour. humidity has come up 20%.

and the temperatures 73 degrees. so before the strong wind arrive this weelkd hopefully they can have the fire surrounded. >> the smoky skies over the mountain. it was so thick. this afternoon and evening a hard to not see it in the air and smoke filled the sky. wich is why the air district has issued another spare the air alert. poor air quality through tomorrow. there's an air quality advisory for sunday and monday. as that smoke will continue to impact parts of our region. live doppler 7 showing clear conditions right now. i wishldell you there's rain coming. i don't have anything in the 7-day forecast. temperatures 50s 60s. san francisco still 71 degrees with the wind coming down slope. east bay hills showing a spectacular view. hazy and cooler tomorrow afternoon. strong gusty wind saturday night and sunday morning. with high fire danger. this upcoming weekend.

fire danger index. tomorrow night 7:00 p.m. low fire probability. look at this develop and change. when you see the oranges and reds in the north bay. that's a high to extreme fire danger. in the east bay also along the san mateo coast. lie to high to very high. here's why. northeast winds will be developing. 11:00 p.m. saturday night we'll see the winds ramp up. notice the colors. 40 miles per hour. close to 50 miles per hour. 6:00 a.m. sunday and with those gusts we are obviously going to see the atmosphere dry out. still going to be gusty in the afternoon. on sunday. not as windy as saturday night into sunday morning. temperatures in the morning. in the 40s 50s. 63 in san francisco. clear skies and for the afternoon. the cooler day. hazy skies across parts of the bay area. low 70s to the mid-80s as we head into the 7-day forecast. you will notice that the

vegas to tell us about it. water works reading what you've gone through. you're so brave for sharing this story. i can't thank you enough for joining us. what made you decide to go and post it to allf the viewers who love you in vegas and we love you from afar. why did you share this story? >> i posted last thursday after a week after the diagnosis. which was october 10. and i did that because i wanted to let everybody know what was happening to me. people at work and also viewers here in las vegas knew that -- had noticed that i wasn't showing up on the air. i was intermittently on and off. so i wanted to update them. >> take us how you found out you had this rare cancer and how

it's formed from pregnancy. >> i found out i was pregnant through a pregnancy test. that was on august 3. and i was very excited. my husband and i, we were thrilled. this would have been our third baby. went to an ultrasound four weeks later to see the baby. and when we got the ultra sound up on the screen, it was an everyone the i sack. so there was the placenta. but there was nothing in there. we were told that was just a generic miscarriage, unfortunately. it was early, six weeks, so my doctor said we want you to miscarry naturally. let's check in in another month. well, instead of having the miscarriage, my body started to have more signs of pregnancy. i was getting super sick. i was having food aversion, i was very tired, not able to take care of my kids or work out the way i normally did. so when i went in four weeks later, my doctor took a look at

the ultra sound. he said how do you feel? i said i feel horrible and he said you didn't have a miscarriage, you had a molar pregnancy. >> and that is what? >> it's when fertilization happens between the egg and the sperm, but some sort of abnormality happens and the fetus never forms. but instead of just miscarrying that baby naturally, the body continues to mimic a pregnancy because the placenta continues to grow inside of the uterus and starts to reproduce very invasive ue. and in most cases, you do a dnc, they clear out the tissue, and then they just monitor your pregnancy hormone levels for the next year to make sure they're down to zero and stay at zero. but in some very rare cases, that invasive tissue turns into a rare form of cancer called coreo carcinoma and metastasizes and spreads to other parts of the body.
