with death and destruction around. at this point we have to do everything we can to prevent that. >> pg&e says it will keep inspecting distribution lines. inspectors found 83 instances of equipment damage that could have sparked wildfires according to the company. some pg&e customers will get rebates because of the electrical outages, but they'll only cover the first planned power shutoff that happened on october 9th. that's because many customers received a late warning due to problems with pg&e's website. household customers will get $100, businesses will get $250. i'm tracking a brand-new wildfire in southern california. this is a live look from our .ister station, kabc, sky map 7 i'll bring you down to the ground shot. this just broke out in san bernardino. this is a hillside fire. there are homes burning right now and many others threatened. it's burning at least 200 acres and amid extreme red flag

warning conditions. evacuation orders have been issued. powerful winds are fanning the flames. santa ana winds have sparked several wildfires. there's a reporter there on the scene showing us what's going on now from kabc. he was on the ground just about 15 minutes ago. here's what he saw. >> we're right here in the driveway of this home at the top of saturn court. scott was overhead giving you that view, the second story as we saw earlier was collapsed, creating all that fuel. this is a dangerous situation. the winds are kicking up right now. we're getting those strong gusts, 20 to 30 miles per hour. that was the estimate from firefighters at the scene. we have san bernardino county fire. while we have this image here that is burning, there's another home to left, but also to our right there's a home that's still standing. this gives you the perspective of the structure protection under way right now. firefighters are both in the front yard, in the backyard. we've seen embers hit the roof
