interesting. there has not been an incumbent in more than a century for this position in san francisco. reporting live in front of san francisco's city hall, lauren martinez, abc7 news. >> thanks. san francisco mayor london breed has successfully won her re-election bid but it wasn't much of a contest. with 100% of precints reporting, breed received 68% of the vote. ellen zhou had 14% of the vote. san francisco voters overwhelmingly rejected prop c, 81% voting no, 19% yes. prop c would have overturned the city's ban on the sale and distribution of some e-cigarettes and vaping products. e-cigarette maker juul originally sponsored this bill and then later dropped its support. your uber or lyft rides could get more expensive. voters approved san francisco's

minutes. new this morning the orinda city council is moving forward with an emergency ban of some short-term rentals. the action is in response to that halloween night shooting at an airbnb that left five people dead. the council heard from 50 people last night. many speakers urged the council not to ban all short-term rentals. that emergency ordinance will prohibit unhosted short-term rentals for 45 days while the city works on updated rules. unhosted means the homeowner is not on site. the council is expected to approve the new rules at the november 19th meeting. the brother of the shooting victim stopped by a memorial last night. he said tyon was expecting a son in march. >> looking forward to take care of his baby and stepping up to the plate. we down right now. this will make us stronger as a family. >> orinda's police chief says the department is getting

assistance from other bay area agencies as well as the fbi. there are now 24 investigators on this case. at the live desk, antioch police are investigating a shooting that left one person dead and another injured. east bay today reports that officers responded to calls that shots were fired at hillcrest and bellflower drive just after 7:00 last night. one victim was shot while in their car and drove themselves to a local hospital. at the same time police received calls of shots being fired at lahoya and morrow drive where two men were seen jumping and running over fences in peoples backyards. no one has been arrested. the hospital pronounced one of those victims dead. the second person was shot but is expected to survive. in the impeachment showdown today, the state department's undersecretary fof politicalitt affairs suspected to provide a deposition. another critical witness has

confirmed there was quid pro quo. >> reporter: good morning. it was a stunning reversal by one of president trump's loyal supporters and it came in a four-page statement telling lawmakers his memory was refreshed and that he personally delivered the message that president trump sought to send to ukraine. for the first time gordon sondland reversing his testimony saying there was a quid pro quo. sondland saying the statement would have to come from president zelensky himself. in his original testimony sondland denied preconditions to aid when asked. the president has used the testimony in his defense. >> if you look, he also said there was no quid pro quo. >> sondland said he was repeating what the president told him on a phone call and now he says his memory was refreshed

by other key witnesses who contradicted his initial statements. arriving back in portland overnight, the ambassador was met by protesters. transcripts show even less evidence for impeachment than previously thought. house democrats want acting white house chief of staff, mick mulvaney, to appear for a deposition on friday. his testimony, like others this week, will likely be blocked by the white house. >> in the east bay, the city of oakland is negotiating with the a's to sell its half ownership of the coliseum to the team. the decision by the oakland city council comes weeks after the a's proposed buying it for $85 million, but only if the city drops its lawsuit against alameda county which has the other half ownership. the a's want to convert the coliseum complex into a mixed use development to pay for a new

oakland. b.a.r.t. supervisor john o'connor pulled a man to safety after he fell on to the tracks on sunday as that train was barrelling into the statihe the platform was tapacked with people after the raiders game. now the team is honoring o'connor. he will be this week's home toum hero. coming up at 7:00 a.m., cal fire will update us on the kincade fire. containment has been edging up over the past several days. it's at 84%. firefighters expect to have it fully surrounded tomorrow. the kincade fire scorched 78,000 acres. cal fire says the flames destroyed 174 homes. smoke from the kincade fire is mostly gone, but the economic recovery will take much longer. wayne freedman spent yesterday at alexander valley in healdsburg where some business owners are doing better than others. >> reporter: in healdsburg there remains a distinct difference

a lot of talk about how dry we are, and rightfully so. it's bone dry out there. that's why the fire danger continues to be elevated. as far as the drought goes, we're fine. the only place abnormally dry is the sierra. concord police want your help finding an arson suspect. almost a dozen fires have bermed the western edge of newhall community park. the park is close to homes. investigators think the fires were intentional. they're asking anyone who saw something that could lead to the arsonist to contact them. legendary director martin score s
