better bay area to make room for the new you have to take out the old. that happened yesterday. sky7 captured the old b.a.r.t. car being trucked to the recycling yard. abc 7 news reporter david louie has the stoert. >> it's never been done before. how do you move a who-ton b.a.r.t. car and place it on the flatbed truck. the car number 2528 is the first of 669 decommissioned over the next four years as a new generation of cars come online. this car was put in service in 1995 and retired 19 years later racking up 2.2 million miles. it was chosen to be first because of the troublesome history. >> this was a car that continually came into the shop was repaired, and was sent out again. it would break down an hour later. >> but car 2528 hertz is also blemished by an incident in 2010. when two b.a.r.t. employeesy struck and killed by this same car while jason to the tracks during a strike. the car dubbed the death car by the maintenance team at the

to become part of a large heap that could be turned into something better, safer and perhaps less notorious. david louie, abc 7 news. okay. in the north bay b.a.r.t. train service down this weekend through a section of sonoma and marin. trains will not run from petaluma to novato to allow crews to install and test software. >> we're actually opening two new stations this year. larkspur and novato downtown. that means we have to add the stations to the systems. and so we have to install the software for these railroad crossings, test them, and then we have to reinstall the kissing software so we can provide passenger service on monday morning. >> a bus bridge will be set up to carry passengers between the stations. officials say they could be force today shut down service saturday and sunday of next week if if they don't get finished by next weekend. happening today something us here at abc 7 news are excited

now to the impeachment inquiry against president trump process. an toerp for former national security john bolton says there is critical information about ukraine not yet made public. kiara phillips has the latest. >> john bolton's lawyer says the former national security adviser mass relevant information on ukraine that has not been disclosed and that his client could add critical testimony to the impeachment probe. in in letter to congressional leaders, charles cooper rights that bolton has knowledge of meetings and conversation that is have not yet been discussed in the testimonies thus far. congress has not subpoenaed bolton. but he is willing to testify if a court rules he has to. bolton figured prominently in the latest transcript released from the closed-door depositions surrounding trump's offering of a quid pro quo is said to have distanced himself from those efforts to dig up dirt on political rival joe biden in

president trump calls for age limit. zachary keesh in washington with more. >> for the first time federal officials identified vitamin e acetate as a possible cause of deadly outbreak claiming 39 lives across 24 states on the district of columbia. it's also sickened more than 2,000 people. the possible breakthrough comes after the cdc found the compound in all 29 samples taken thus far from people who got sick. vitamin e acetate is kevonly found in cosmetics and food and typically not harmful. but when inhaled it can interfere with normal lung function. it's an additive to e-cigarettes because it assemblings thc oil. it's also a thickening ingredient. the report does not rule out the possibility that other substances or flavors may be causing the running illnesses related to vaping and comes as the white house is expected to

the bay area forecast with lisa argen. hey, lisa. >> liz, you know, visibility certainly could be improved but our air quality is not bad due to the on shore flow. a bit of a tradeoff. we have the fog for about five days in a row. late clearing, cool conditions. but it has helped to clean out the atmosphere. and no advisories from the bay area quality management district. zero visibility from petaluma to napa. a mool half moon bay. an hour slay delay on arriving flights in sfo. and a mile or better in san jose or livermore. livermore up to 2.5 miles. as we lack at the bigger perspective there is a system moving no the pacific greft but a dome of high pressure has the air mass locked in place. stagnant, not allowing for mixing. as a result our little mini summer pattern continues. 50 in redwood city. 46 in gilroy. here is sutro. it's november. a little bit unusual of course for you will a the low clouds

we'll have the on shore flow 11:00 tonight. the fog comes back and do it all over again. but in terms of the forecast temperatures for the holiday on monday, looks like a bit of a warmup. temperatures in the lower 70s by the wert here. the east shore. that's a warmup getting into tuesday, though, still mild from te east bay to the inland valleys. cool at the coast. look for cooler weather and certainly clouds moving in. but can we get any rain in here? as we look for the next seven days over the state of california, the pacific northwest, looks like it's wet. but down to the bay area maybe mist and drizzle as we get towards the end of the upcoming work woke. mid-and upper 60s today from oakland to san francisco. a little hazy but mostly sunny. warm et inland valleys 60s at the coast to the upper 70s inland. the accuweather seven-day forecast looking at little change for sunday.

>> hey, z, good morning to you. very foggy out there advisory f valleys of the north bay and salinas valley. look at the visibility in miles restricted about everywhere with a half mile in the city, delays over an hour at sfo. but petaluma can't see a thing in hayward and oakland only a quarter mile visibility. here is from our roof camera. it's taking a couple of hours until we begin to evaporate the fog. but we will see a good deal of sunshine today. redwood city at 50 and half moon bay. and a look from the east bay hills camera where you can see it's brighter there for from walnut creek and concord with low 40s. santa rosa looking at about 50 where the sun is shining. and throughout the 9:00, 10:00 hour still fog lingering over the bay. but then we are looking at a sunny afternoon. i want 1:00, we're near 70 in our inland valleys still cool at the coast, the on shore flow and we'll talk about subtle changes as we get towards the holiday on

place. the pattern of low clouds and fog and that temperature spread from the coast to the inland valleys with us all week long. and the dense fog. so certainly this morning be careful out there. it has been as thick as it gets up in the north bay. for of an advisory. but we are looking at sunshine on the way with those temperatures ranging from the 60s at the coast upper 70s inland. and then more fog tonight. through the rest of the work week coming up we le soo cooler and clouder conditions. but will it lead to rain in we certainly have some lost time to make up and here is the exploratorium camera where it's all about the fog this morning. and live doppler 7 showing the footprint there. allowing for just a socked in from petaluma to napa. santa rosa through marin. across the bay into oakland and hayward i've heard from folks out there. and we are getting the edge of the fog to burn back. and looking at sun from walnut cross-examine and concord. better visibility in livermore but still in the south bay foggy

city. san francisco kohl day noerp one in the mid-60s. moderate air quality. the on-shore flow has helped mix out most of the place. allowing for conditions that are a little less than ideal. we need a cold front north. but to the north today in the 71 in san leandro. in inland in the upper 70s again today. what we have is a return of the low clouds and fog tonight. high pressure in control the next several days. and the accuweather seven-day forecast shows the range again tomorrow with little change but on monday the holiday, minor warming brighter conditions as that ridge begins to move east out of town as it moves out we're increasing the clouds, cool off the temperatures, allow for an incoming cold front to perhaps make it as far south as extreme northern california by this time next we can. and that could mean maybe a splash we'll watch it for you.
