killed on a train. the station is still closed. >> i can't get home. the trains are shut down. i'm stuck. >> a lot of people are. good evening. >> police talked about what happened just a short time ago. let's get to the news reporter live at the bart station. >> basically a murder on the train. the station is closed likely for the next few hours. single tracking a few trains through here. major delays. it all started with an argument between two men. at the bay fair station this afternoon. quickly escalated into violence. over the next two stops. >> the fight continued through our hayward station. which point a knife was introduced into the fight. it wasn't a random tack. it was a fight involving two individuals tla engaged each other. >> the train stopped at the

south hayward station for a fatality on board. officers swarmed the station and closed it down. bart has surveillance video. and perhaps cell phone video of the fight. one man died of knife wounds. the other man ran out of the station. a discarded shirt was surrounded by police tape. at the bart station. now, a couple of blocks away from here very close by, at a car dealership and gas station, bart police detained a shirtless man. bart officers were going through the trash cans looking for evidence. several witnesses were at a car dealership where we understand there may have been a car stolen. bart police units brought in a total of five witnesses. one by one. to come by the car and look at the suspect. many of themrin.and gh after th police officers drove away with

the suspect in custody. we understand not yet confirmed they may have recovered the knife. on board the train. it had to be a terrifying trip for the passengers. on that car. trapped in there. the two men fighting. one of them ending up dead. >> all right. thank you for that. >> developing story. the proposed pg&e power shut off. only three bay area counties might be affected. not nine. >> just more than 51,000 customers maybe impacted. >> no power no problem. the family say they're ready. the last power shut off taught them to be prepared. >> i put this on the roof of the car outside. and it charges the battery again. so you can charge an iphone up to 30 times or something.

>> this battery and this portable sew lor panel became somewhat of a savior. >> for a couple people, yes. >> pg&e announced none of that will be necessary. for at least six bay area counties that were initially on the list. >> we are just going to continue monitoring in those areas. >> the utility confirmed a total of 181,000 customers would be affected throughout northern and central california. in the bay area the number is smaller. 51,000 customers. counties on the list. >> this is not a decision that we take lightly. we understand how much it impacts customers. we only do this out of safety. >> officials with the emergency department said they remain ready just in case weather conditions change. >> we'll send information that says we don't expect the county to be affected. that is subject to change.

spot. we're here at the san francisco bay national wildlife refuge. it's gorgeous. you can see the clouds are gathering. the forecast for fremont. as you mentioned we have micro climate. cool start at 7:00 a.m. 49 degrees. 61 plenty of sun. and a few high clouds in the afternoon. 64 degrees into the evening. the temperature drops to the mid-50s. 7-day forecast the week ahead. not much variation in the temperatures. 64 degrees the high tomorrow. coming down just a skosh to the 60s and up into the mid-60s. rain chances unfortunately over seven days we're not expecting any measurable rain. if anything with the system coming through tonight there might be a sprinkle or two. over all not expecting rain over the next seven days. let's hope a duple weeks from now we see major changes. because last year we went
