the residents in sonoma and napa county that may be impacted could start to lose power at 7:00 this morning. now, pg&e, we talked to a lot of small business owners that are starting to really take a toll during this time. we talked to a restaurant owner of stout brothers in downtown santa rosa yesterday. his business is closed and now up for sale. ownership says pg&e's most recent public safety power shutoff provided the last straw. >> it's very challenging to move all your inventory out and refill. it's like opening a brand-new restaurant when you go through tha that. >> the owner of mullsber rkel a in shutdown area. but the address check says they're all right. so he doesn't even know what to epect. the santa rosa veterans memorial

coervative commentator anne coulter is set to speak at uc berkeley tonight. bur she will speak about the u.s. immigration system and the dangers of mass immigration. a small group of students gathered yesterday calling for people to protest the visit. uc berkeley says it doesn't expect any problems. >> over the course of the last two years this campus hosted more than 13 prominent conservative speakers without a single problem, a single disruption. no reason that can't happen again. >> coulter canceled a visit in 2017 over security concerns. earlier that year some protesters incited violence before a scheduled speech that was canceled. building a better bay area can sometimes be messy. that is certainly the case in san francisco where there's a poop problem. there's no other way to put it. so far there's been more than 25,000 complaints to the city

via 311 since the start of the year that means we're on track for a 7% jump from last year. the dirtiest neighborhoods, tenderloin, south of market and the mission. what is being done to clean up the city in time for the holidays? here's chris reyes. >> reporter: i don't know about you, but i'm tired of people talking trash about our city. mayor london breed kicked off the love our city holiday eco blitz tuesday morning. the program will put city crews on the job every day of the week cleaning up popular business districts. a new analysis by the website rent hop shows complaints about human and animal waste on san francisco streets have been the worst so far in 2019. >> i've been kicking and screaming and yelling asking for more deep daily sidewalk and street cleaning. more bathrooms, you know, more trash cans. >> reporter: according to the same study glen park saw the highest year over year increase in poop complaints.

everyone six months of ainge and older. santa clara police want to find the person caught on camera kicking this tesla outside of levi stadium. the car itself recorded the whole thing. it happened short ly before the end of the first half against last week's game with the seahawks. teslas have century mode which is meant to protect the cars from bumps and break-ins. that system activated as the man got close to the vehicle and appears to have caught him in the act. >> it's a huge dent. it's not on the bumper. it's on the metal. this is all one piece. to see another fan do that to our vehicle was saddening and unfortunate. >> the person responsible could face felony charges. the tesla owner is now offering a $1,000 reward or two niners tickets for information leading to an arrest. a new push to keep people from riding e-scooters and

e-bikes on sidewalks. sacramento will now ticket people who violate the rules. people are supposed to ride these on the street and not on the sidewalk. as of yesterday sacramento police started citing riders who were breaking the law. tickets cost about $200. lime and jump both operate in san francisco. sfo partnered with uber to make your holiday travel less stressful. the chronicle is reporting that starting today, riders who pay extra for uber comfort, uber select, and uber xl can get curbside pick up at the airport. uber drivers will meet them outside the domestic terminal doors instead of the designated garage. rides who choose uber black and black suv already have curbside pick up. after sfo changed its ride hailing policy in june, most uber and lyft riders werehe drit the garage. >> do you think it's worth it?

we do have deadly hit and run investigation that's going on in san jose. i'll be back with more on that shortly. president trump and apple's ceo tim cook are traveling to texas today. the president and ceo are visiting a facility in austin where apple makes some of its computers. in september apple moved its mac pro assembly to austin after winning tariff exception for computer parts. you may want to check your credit report if you shop at macy's. the company is warning customers about a havenrecent hack. information was stolen for about a week. that includes names, addresses, credit card information. the company did not say how many people are impacted. all birds is accusing amazon of copying its design. the co-founder told cnn amazon's private label shoe looks nearly identical to his company's iconic wool runner sneakers.

danger. 28 miles per hour in the east bay hills. low to mid 60s at noon. low to upper 60s at 4:00. back into the mid to upper 50s at 7:00. we have an update on that three-car crash in san jose. police say that it was a deadly hit and run. the crash happened at alum rock and jackson avenues last night. police say a man was driving east on alum rock in a honda and struck a tesla and then a dodge durango. that driver ran off and has not been found. a total of nine people were left behind in the crash. a passenger in the honda died. another passenger has life threatening injuries. police say the intersection at alum rock and jackson avenue will be closed until 6:00 this morning. in about an hour and a half or so the latest pg&e power

shutoffs will start. more than 51,000 customers in sonoma, napa and solano counties are on notice for outages. the sheriff's office says the shutoffs will start around 7:00 this morning. the g the utility is shutting off power to prevent wildfires. some schools in sonoma county will still be closed today because of these looming power shutdo shutdowns. they include the alexander valley unified school district and forrest school district. we will send out push alerts when pg&e decides when and where they will be shutting off power. this morning we'll be watching a critical witness in the impeachment inquiry. american ambassador to the eu, gordon sondland will speak to

people were shot and killed at a halloween party hosted at an airbnb property. last night the city council unanimously passed a 45 day emergency ordinance. that bans non-hosted short-term rentals in orinda. it also requires a two-day minimum stay with the owner of the property. people against this are calling the changes arbitrary and unfair. the ordinance takes place immediately and expires in 45 days but city leaders can extend it for up to two years. one person suffered burns and two others were rescued as flames ripped through a two-story house in san francisco. flames were pouring through the home last night as firefighters arrived on the scene. the injured person was taken to a burn center for treatment. san leandro police are asking for help identifying an arson suspect. these photos of the sus wecht
