federal authorities assists authorities in making the arrests. these are pictures of agent involved in a bust which led to the arrest of the two men. both are connected to the orinda shooting that left five dead. the atf tweeted a gun was seized during the arrests linked to multiple shootings in the bay area, but they did not give specifics on where. orinda mayor confirmed the arrests. >> we are very pleased that progress continues to be made in this investigation and that two more arrests suggest that that progress continues to be made at this time. >> last week in a series of raids, police arrested five men in connection with the shooting, but they were later released after the d.a.'s office declined to charge them with crimes. sheriffs officials say prosecutors wanted more investigation before bringing criminal charges. >> shocking, scary, very sad that the world has come to this.

that is san jose international airport in this live picture. it just received a $10 million grant from the federal government. the money will go toward a building for aircraft rescue and

fire fighting. the department of transportation announced grants of more than $35 million for four california airports today, including montry, mojave, and long beach. no such help is being extended to airlines out of hong kong. united is others have seen booking drop as a result of protests that have scared away tourists. david louie talked to united ceo about this once-lucrative market. he's live at the international terminal at sfo. >> it's always boom and bust sequences, but this is a weird time when domestic travel is booming while international has dropped significantly. thanksgiving could see record-setting traffic at sfo with 171,000 people coming and going for the thanksgiving holiday. the thanksgiving passenger boom is good news for united and others who've been hurt by five months of protests against the hong kong governments. that's because tourists aren't booking flights or hotels.

united canceled it's daily nonstop between chicago and hong kong but continues to fly twice daily from sfo. >> there's clearly been an impact and there's been a drop. with regards to when we see it returning, it's hard to say, right? >> the unprecedented violence has deterred tourists. the majority were either business people or people with family connections to the city. we spoke with this man heading home to hong kong. >> do you think this is hurting the economy, hurting the hotels and hurting the airlines? >> of course. yeah. a lot of people are affected, including, like, citizens and also the travelers. >> the hong kong government confirms this. airline passenger arrivals are down 13%, hotel occupancy has plunged from 90% to 66%. travel agents are being offered up to $7,600 to sbries tourists

traffic looking at the embarcadero. 57 in the city. 58 in oakland. upper 50s also in redwood city and san jose. 54 in gilroy. 58 at half moon bay. this is the view from emeryville looking west to clear skies. 56 right now in both santa rosa and petaluma. 51 in fairfield. this is the view from sutro tower looking out over san francisco. these are our forecast features. sunny and mild this weekend. winds will increase monday raising fire concerns once again. and then it turns cold, wet pattern beginning tuesday. tonight it will remain dry under mainly clear skies, low temperatures generally in the low to mid-40s. so it will be fairly cool to chilly and cold in the north bay where some locations dropping into the mid-30s. we go to tomorrow.

high temperatures under sunny skies will range from about 62 in half moon bay to 64 around the bayshore. up in the north bay, highs of 70 in santa rosa. 72 in cloverdale. east bay, upper 60s. 67 in san jose. a look ahead to sunday. we won't see much change from tomorrow's temperature range. nice and mild, mainly sunny, cooler at the coast on sunday. all areas start to turn a little bit cooler on monday. finally sharply cooler on tuesday. temperatures plummet because a storm is coming our way. starting at noon, tuesday, cold storm drops from the northwest, bringing rain late tuesday and tuesday night. snow in the sierra. that pattern continues into wednesday of more rain in the bay area and snow in the sierra. it continues into early thursday morning, thanksgiving day. we may see some lingering trailing showers that will

continue through day thanksgiving day. friday looks like a good shot for some clearing next week. how much rain will we get? our rainfall estimate shows up to or above an inch in many locations in the east bay. up in the north bay, about 0.5 to 0.75 inches. accuweather seven-day forecast, isn't this exciting? i think so. we'll start with monday. wind increasing and temperatures dropping a bit. temperatures drop more sharply on tuesday and wednesday. as i mentioned, we might have scattered showers on thursday, thinking of day. the storm coming our way, although it may drop generous amounts of rain, it will be spread over a three-day period, so the storm ranks 1 on the storm impact scale, light intensity, but it will bring us much-needed rainfall. >> thanks, spencer. a popular san francisco restaurant shutters unexpectedly, leaving all these employees without a paycheck.

breaking news to tell you about. there's been another attack on a vehicle along 101. this time it was a bus carrying a high school football team to san jose. the chp says one student was injured and it is the second attack today. proje the carmel high school team was

supposed to play branham high school tonight. the new bus has now picked up the team to take them to san jose. it's not clear if this attack is related to dozens of similar incidents in the prunedale area in monterey county. dozens of employees and customers showed up at a popular san francisco restaurant this week only to discover it was closed. >> abc 7 news anchor dion lim went looking for answers in the legal battle between chefs versus restaurants of. . caltrain is it delayed after a train hit a person. caltrain's tweet from about 20 minutes ago, the incident happened in san francisco involving a southbound train. northbound trains aren't moving approximate past the bayshore station. b.a.r.t. just tweeted there is a major delay system wide due to an equipment problem on the track. no other details yet, but we are checking on that. the federal railroad administration is taking a closer look at two smart train quiet zones in sonoma county after a string of fatal collisions there. that's according to the santa rosa press democrat.

five people were struck and killed in one year at one intersection. rail officials are conducting on-site surveys at both crossings. if deemed necessary, the quiet zones could be eliminated and regular train horns used again. the bay area's bake share system by a wheels by lyft promised that e-bikes would return to the streets of san jose this week. the only problem, they haven't. they says they'll start showing up next week. regular pedal bikes are available for users in all service areas which include san francisco, oakland, rememberryville, and berkeley. >> elon musk revealed more details today about the company's new cyber truck. musk unveiled the electric truck in l.a. last night but it did not go as planned. >> oh, my god [ bleep ] god. >> musk was touting the truck's shatter-proof windows that, well, didn't live up to that promise. he says they held up in earlier tests. on twitter today musk confirmed

how a local radio station is bringing the beat of india to fremont and the bay area. finally tonight, what really matters. the man accused of killing knee i can't wilson at the ma car thur b.a.r.t. station entered a plea. a few days ago a man named oliver williams was killed try to stop someone from stealing shoes from a homeless man. you heard a manager insisting that b.a.r.t. is a safe system. that may be true, but the numbers reveal serious danger. according to the department of justice, major crimes like homicide, rape, and robbery have doubled on b.a.r.t. in the last four years, doubled. there were 234 incidents in 2015 and 481 incidents last year. i don't know about you, but i hear from people regularly who claim they hardly ever ride
