food bank is behind in foongs donations this year. compared to last year at this time it says it's down $100,000. the food bank needs more money this year because it's feeding more people than last year. second harvest is collecting donations of frozen interesting transaction and other thifrg food today at the three warehouses in san jose and sand carlos. also in san jose, more than 300 volunteers packing food boxes for sacred heart community service. helping to prepare for the thanksgiving food distribution starting monday. 4,400 boxes distributed next week. families come to pick up the boxes filled with canned goods abchoice of turkey, ham or chicken and fresh produce. you can donate from 9:00 until 3:00. another thing to be thankful for is the rain. >> yes, that's right but the big game nice and sunny and mild. a beautiful weekend on the way. if you want to get some things down outside with a lot of sunshine on the way, certainly a

thunderstrms and cold are conditions as we get into a pretty good winter storm come tuesday and wednesday. but right now we still have a small craft advisory or beach deserted statement as the waves off the coast are high. this has been with us the past 24 hours. the risk of rip current and sneaker waves from the sonoma county coastline all the way to monterey bay. you can see 8 to 10 feet. looking to today's where we cloud up and see rain move through. this is the bulk of the activity from tuesday into wednesday. a fast-moving system that spreads rain all the way down through southern california. this is wednesday. and that's when the snow will start in the mountains. lingering through thanksgiving. but back home it's scattered showers here thanksgiving into the week with much colder conditions and even some very gusty winds. here a lack at next friday where it looks unsettled across the state. so plan on a difficult travel day into wednesday. the day before thanksgiving.

so rainfall amounts starting tuesday into your wednesday morning anywhere from a quarter inch to a third inches on the coast to a half inches in the north bay. then it looks like more showers arrive into the weekend. but lighter showers. and then looking at parts of the peninsula and south bay picking up anywhere from a third in total with all the rainfall from tuesday into friday. so we are looking at the cold conditions settling in for thanksgiving, wednesday night in into thursday. if you are traveling to mountains tuesday into thanksgiving evening, the snow levels really coming down to around 3,000 feet. difficult travel and snowfall amounts look at this. we're talking about anywhere from a foot to two feet anywhere from blue canyon, tahoe city and kirkwood about 1.5 feet. even mammoth in the mountains of southern, california. really some big time travel difficulties into wednesday. the day before thanksgiving. highs today, though, in the low
