minutes. two people were arrested in connection with the mass shooting on halloween in orinda. >> amy hollyfield is live with more. >> that arrangement is set for martinez. 29-year-old domico jones faces two felony charges, and he has a prior felony conviction for second degree robbery in santa clara county. the atf tweete pictures of the team that made arrests last week. two men were arrested. the investigation is sensitive so they won't release more information about how they're connected to the shootings, but the mayor says she is relieved to see arrests have been made. >> it's unsettling for all of the community, particularly for those who live in the neighborhood where it occurred. i talked with neighbors, many

people in the community, they're happy to see progress continuing to be made on this investigation. they're getting together with their neighbors and reupping and making sure they have good connections with those neighbors. is the atf is offering a $20,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the shooters. officials say this is a complex case, so if anyone has information they need them to come forward. live in martinez, amy hollyfield, abc7 news. breaking news at the live desk, a big blow overnight to san francisco-based uber. the company's license to operate in london will not be renewed over safety concerns. transit officials there say it's because of several breaches that placed passengers and their safety at risk. they are also concerned that similar issues could happen again in the future.

uber's license is set to expire tonight at midnight. the company is vowing to appeal the decision. they can continue to operate while they do. uber says the decision not to renew the london license is wrong. and also several people have reportedly been taken into custody in front of a homeless encampment in front of city hall. the charges they could face are not known. the group is calling for an end to what they say are cruel and inhumane anti-homeless practices by the city. >> reporter: right across from oakland city hall, these activists and homeless individuals hope their message makes it all the way inside the mayor's office.

over a dozen tents has made up what has been a housing village. this woman has been homeless the last two years. she said she was tired of being moved by city workers from one place to the next. she decided to send a message this way. >> there were 15 folks who were going to be staying here, most of them homeless, and that has grown. some people are doubling up in tents. >> what's the plan? >> the plan is to stay here and to take care of each other and to talk to the public, inform the public. >> we walked around the camp where food was provided by several non-profits. homeless cover their tents with posters that tell the story of eviction and living on the streets. >> we can't criminalize people because they don't have a place to live. i will stay here as long as everyone else is staying here. >> it's still unclear how long the campill be allowed to stay on the frank ogawa plaza. throughout the protest, oakland police officers surrounded the area. the latest homeless count identified a total of 4,071 homeless people in this city. the mayor's office responded to the encampment and said the group has the right to protest peacefully and added in part the

housing and homelessness crisis in our community is a priority in our community and we are working to create more safe shelter spaces. in the south bay, a man is dead after he was hit and killed by a car in san jose. it happened last night near kurtner avenue. the man was crossing the street when the car hit him. he died at the scene. the driver is cooperating with police. alcohol and drugs do not appear to be factors in the incident. this is san jose's 49th deadly traffic collision this year in the east bay neighbors say their sense of safety has been shattered by a deadly shooting that left two boys dead. the victims were 11 and 14 years old. they were gunned down about 1:30 sarday morning as they sat in a van in the parking lot of an elementary school in union city. family, friends and neighbors gathered in front of a memorial yesterday. one mother who doesn't want to be identified tells us her son

several feet for this weekend. it's finally happening. a weekend crackdown on side shows has paid off for oakland police. police shared these photos on twitter. officers towed one car for doing donughnuts on saturday night. a police helicopter tracked it after it left the scene and led officers on the ground to that vehicle. police say they detained some spectator force throwing bottles at officers. the department is using extra staffing and help from neighborhood cities to crack down on side shows. from the live desk, in hong kong the pro democracy opposition won a resounding victory in the local elections there. an election seen as a test of public support for anti-government protests. the pro democracy camp won the majority of 4the 452 council seats. a record 71% of the city's 4.1
