mother nature putting the ingredients together for a heavy rain event. two of them as a matter of fact in the next 36 hours. one of those ingredients is moisture. look at how much fog. this is walnut creek. that is looking south at 680, look at the fog across our inland east bay neighborhoods up into solano county. some of it is slipping across the san pablo bay and heading over to san rafael and novato. here's a look at san rafael. fog an issue this morning. very mild out there. low to mid 50s. we'll be in the low to mid 60s, breezy and random showers are at 4:00. the heavy, steady rain moving in by 7:00. we're following breaking news at the live desk. abc news confirmed an active shooter now at the naval air base in pensacola, florida, which is on the panhandle here. want to let you know this information is just now coming in to our newsroom, so the details we're still trying to

sort out. we know that the naval base has tweeted they are on lockdown. it says both gates of nasp are secured due to reporters of an active shooter. more information will be provided as it becomes available. this is the second shooting incident on a naval base this week. there was another shooting where three people died in pearl harbor on wednesday. we'll continue to bring you these updates on abc7news.com. again, we are getting some more and we're working to confirm that now. in the north bay the rain brings concern of flooding in the kincade fire burn zone. >> the kincade fire burned 78,000 acres over two weeks in october. the scar zones are especially vulnerable to heavy rains. some residents spent yesterday clearing out storm drains and gutters. officials say they should be prepared for mud slides, debris flows or power outages.

martinez is there now. lauren? >> reporter: reggie and kumasi, everything is clear now. investigators were here until 4:00. it happened in the m osswalk b the island. police say a woman was hit just before 11:00 p.m. she was pinned under the train. the train did stop. the fire department had to come in and bring heavy equipment to get her out. right now she is with family. she's at san francisco general hospital. police are trying to determine why she was there. was she trying to walk? they know she wasn't pushed. they say this was all an accident, but muni service is running as usual. when i came into work at 3:00 this morning the train was here, so they were here for quite some time trying to figure out what happened. reporting live in san francisco, lauren martinez, abc7 news.

yet another projectile hit a vehicle on highway 101. the latest incident happened last night in monterey county in prunedale. there have been 47 cases of projectiles hitting cars in the area since february. this is video from an accident last month. chp is investigating these incidents. a barber on the mend after police say a customer crashed into him. the new photos he sent from his hospital room. and also a tradition that dates back almost two decades, when you can check out the holiday train. and even before the rain starts, we have the potential for wind damage starting at 10:00 today through 7:00 tomorrow morning. and flooding across the north bay starting at 4:00 today through 4:00 tomorrow sarah's last tuition payment, sent off. feeling good? oh yeah. now i'm ready to focus on my project.

hospitals. we will wait for further confirmation from the u.s. navy on that. that's what's happening at this moment. we will continue to update this breaking and developing story here on abc7 news and abc7news.com. this morning, antioch police are still looking for a woman accused of running over a barber and it happened after a dispute over a hair cut. 63-year-old brian martin underwent surgery yesterday for injuries that he suffered when he was hit by the car. this is a picture that brian sent us from his hospital room to let his customers and friends know he is on the mend. martin says that he just finished cutting the hair of one of ruby delgadillo's sons and she seemed uneasy about something but left the shop. 20 minutes later he said she came back, showed him a scratch on her son's neck and started cursing. he said he followed her out. that's when he watched them climb into her car. >> she's flipping me off, screaming f-u, and she put that thing in drive and floored it.

shooter opened fire. it appears there have been several reports that nine people have been taken to the hospital. the shooter has been taken down at the naval air station in pensacola, the home of the navy blew anchogels. i want to bring in martha raddatz for that. the second naval attack in two weeks, martha. >> reporter: there was a sailor accused in the attack in pearl harbor in honolulu, hawaii. they've been on alert for a shooting like this. we have no idea whether there was any connection at all. it may be coincidental. there are about 20,000 people at that air station, about 16,000 families and military and the others are contractors there. think of this as a real community. it is where air training happens. it is the home of the blue angels but almost every aviator

bases as well. any way in that kind of environment to be completely secure? >> probably not, george. there are restrictions on bringing weapons on board any military bases but they've been loosened in recent years so it's very much like being out in the civilian world. people have a gun and they want to commit an act of violence, it's very difficult to stop. >> that is live video you're seeing from pensacola, florida. a huge reaction from local police and the atf. apparently it unfolded around 7:00 a.m. local time this morning. the active shooter situation began then, shots heard around the neighborhood. the base went into lockdown immedi lockdown immediately. as we've said, we now know that there's at least one other confirmed fatality, several injured right now at local hospitals. martha, this is going to hit that naval community so hard. >> so hard. and let's remember ft. hood. there were two shootings, two

massive shootings on the ft. hood army base. military personnel are well aware that this could happen and they could some time be targeted. the information i'm getting is that this was in a training building of some sort. my source did not know whether it was for air crew or for aviators but it was described to me as a training school type building. i'm not saying children. it was not a children's school. it was a training building of some sort but of course this is very early information and everyone is trying to gather as much as they can at this point. to steve's point also, i think people always think, oh, people are armed on these military bases but they are not supposed to be except for security personnel. it is highly likely that it was a security personnel who shot, the active shooter. >> the response was swift. our chief justice correspde piermas is joining us by phone as well. we saw that massive police

presence, pierre, the atf, federal atf responding as well. atf is there to give support. i suspect the fbi, secret service will be involved as well. george, these incidents, men, women showing up with weapons and killing people in public places is becoming a national problem in the sense that we're seeing more and more of them. you just had the incident in hawaii just a few days ago at pearl harbor facility. law enforcement knows that this has now become a phenomenon in which people know that there are these public places they could show up and do such harm and they're trying to do studies to figure out how to prevent these type of activities, what more can we learn as people are descending towards this level of violence. it is a huge issue. i also am being given guidance that the justice department is monitoring the situation very closely. again, this is a military base. that strikes a lot of concern with law enforcement here,

home invasions in oakland on october 29th, in lafayette on october 31st. in benicia on november 10th and again on november 26th. police are still considering the possibility of another suspect. the d.a.'s office will decide whether to file charges against the two arrested suspects. airbnb is taking more steps to crack down on parties and problem guests. it's banning open invite parties. those are ones that allow anyone to attend and are typically advertised on social media. this move comes weeks after a deadly shooting at an airbnb rental in orinda on halloween night. five people were killed in that incident. uber is out with its long-awaited first safety report and the results are sobering. the report details incidents that affected drivers and riders during uber's 1.3 billion rides in the u.s. last year. 3,045 sexual assault reports were reported, 58 people were killed in crashes, 9 people were murdered.

uber's chief legal officer says the company's findings are still difficult to stomach. san jose police are asking for information about three armed robberies of u.p.s. trucks and they all happened two days this week. you can see on this map where each of the crimes took place on tuesday and wednesday nights. the most recent was at 8:45 wednesday night near war admiral avenue and snow drive. police say in all three cases two suspects were wearing ski masks. they approached a truck and demanded the driver open the door. they took several packages and then drove away in a newer block honda sedan. the union school district in san jose is warning parents after several middle school students needed medical attention after taking prescription drugs. the school district emailed parents that a small handful of students at dartmouth middle school may have taken medications prescribed to other members of their family. the front office staff contacted

the fire department and the students received medical attention. parents of the children involved have been contacted. a b.a.r.t. director is calling for an audit of b.a.r.t. police citations. abc7 news was at the board meeting in oakland yesterday when b.a.r.t. director janis lee says staff should look at the ethnicity of people cited. you may remember this, a b.a.r.t. police officer arrested a man last month for eating a sandwich on the platform. he filed a lawsuit accusing officers of racial profiling. the examiner reports that b.a.r.t. police issued 55 citations in the last five years for eating and drinking at b.a.r.t. stations. of those, 80% were issued to people of color. >> breaking news in pen s is in florida. at least two people including the shooter are dead. there was a shooting at the navy base there. authorities responded to that active shooter situation this morning shortly after 7:00 a.m. eastern time. right now it's unclear how many people are injured.

together. to the south bay, lizzo hit the stage at s.a.p. center last night. >> there were a few special guests in the crowd. ♪ >> abc7 first introduced you to the class when they rewrote the lyrics to the song "truth hurts" by lizzo. their video made quite a bit of attention. they were even on "good morning america." 99.7 now provided tickets to the concert and made the meet and greet possible with lizzo last night. >> wanting to go to her and look in her eyes and say thank you. thank you. you don't know how many of us are watching you, these kids. she's having an impact on us. >> our cameras were not allowed in during the group's meet and greet with lizzo, but we got these pictures because peoples parents are the best.
