running down a barber with her car appears in court. police say she was angry over what happened during her sons haircut. good evening. >> he spoke with the injured barber. live from pittsburg. >> the suspect made that court appearance here in court this afternoon. she's held on $1.3 million bond. accused of attempted murder. >> that's the lawyer year-old ruby. who turned herself in on wednesday. nearly a week after the incident that landed her in hot water. >> court today.

tearfully answering yes to two procedural questions. she is accused of ramming her car into a barber outside his shop on december 4. because of a dispute over the haircut he had given her son. >> the office charged her with attempted murder and use of a deadly weapon. and child abuse. >> child abuse charges because her two kids were in the car. at the time of the incident. he's home from the hospital recovering from a fracture of the right leg. and serious cuts sp bruises. he talked to me by phone. >> a will the of pain. a lot of pain. mobility issues. >> it's frustrating not being able to do typical things like bathe without help. still he's forgiven her for the attack. >> i know at the time she was trying to kill me. that's not who the girl is. something snapped in her. it is one way or another going

to affect her the rest of her life. >> she is set for another court appearance on january 14. here in pittsburg. it is very likely that she will spend the holiday in jail. >> perhaps. now to breaking news. a man police say committed a home invasion robbery remains barricaded. >> on the roof of the construction site at warm springs boulevard and brown road. we're live at the scene with the latest on this. >> police tell us they had sporadic communication with the suspect. if you look you can see the heavy police presence at this hour. they try to negotiate with the suspect. he's been up there for five and a half hours. as we look from sky 7 police tell us the suspect was involved in a home invasion robbery. around 10:30 a.m. not too far away. he eventually made his way to the construction site.

where he was spotted by a detective about an hour later. since then they have been trying to negotiate with that man. at one point he was throwing gasoline cans and tools off the roof. neighbors tell us it's been a disturbing situation. >> we have always considered this a safe neighborhood. to see this happening it is out of the blue and frightening. especially because there's little kids here. and small schools. >> police and fire have launched multiple drones to see what the suspect has been doing. late this afternoon he was actually spotted lighting rags on fire. thankfully the fire department was in position o knock it out. back here live police say the drones have been helpful. they have been able to see what the suspect has access to in terms of material and equipment. this section of the warm springs boulevard remains blocked off. traffic over on mission
