in t tomorrow we have another chilly start. enjoy the sun and the mild afternoon. an early sunset and patchy frost tonight, liz. >> lisa, thank you. a bittersweet day for raider nation. the oakland raiders plays their very last home game at the coliseum. one man says he was at the first game and plans to be there today too. there is one small problem. abc 7 news reporter anser hassan has the story. >> reporter: dave says he went to the first ever raiders game at the oakland coliseum. >> i was out there the first game. >> reporter: september 18th, 1966. dave is the high school student on the right with the horn. the raiders lost to kansas city that day. >> beer, beer! i sold my beer. i had to make a living.

i was going through college. >> reporter: dave's been a raider fan for almost six decades. diehard raider nation fans should know who his favorite player is. >> i got my famous jersey. >> reporter: let's see. >> here we go. >> reporter: his house is full of raider memorabilia. >> this is what he signed. >> reporter: and loads of bobbleheads. >> tim brown's bobblehead, one of the larger ones you might find. >> reporter: dave grew up in oakland. when he retired from the oakland fire department his crew knew just how big a fan he was so they gave him a raiders fire helmet. >> 32 years in the fire department, retired. >> reporter: there's one thing dave doesn't have. >> i still need a ticket. i still need a ticket. >> reporter: dave gets emotional thinking about the team leaving, reflecting back to day one. he says even if he doesn't get a ticket to subbed's last raiders

home game, heal 'll be out ther with his sign, jersey, and hat, bleeding silver and black. >> that's why i've got to be there. i've got to be there. i've just got to be there. >> reporter: in oakland, anser hassan, abc 7 news. good news to report, a member of the raiders front office contacted us early this morning after seeing this story. the team is now giving dave a ticket to the game and, get this, he'll be sitting with fred and his wife in a luxury suite. very cool. we'll have more on that on abc 7 news tonight at 5:00 p.m. if you're thinking about go yourself, the average ticket price is $312, a 45% increase from any other game this season. quarterback derek carr has repeatedly talked about how special the coliseum and raiders fans are to him. head coach jon gruden loves raider nation and wants to send everyone out with a win.

>> i wish i had more time to really sit down and make that the big story here, that anything the fans for their support over the years. and what this franchise has accomplished and what it means and what oakland means to the raiders. i would like to that i think everybody that welcomed us back when we came back, and i know they're going to stay with us when we go. i appreciate all the fans and their loyalty and their support. we'll try to give you one hell of a show. >> and i should say we believe there are tickets available on stub hub. we checked this morning, the cheapest tickets there start at around $200. we want to move on to a developing story. pg&e has until tuesday to amend its bankruptcy reorganization plan. but an expert says it will be almost impossible to make enough changes to please governor newsom. on friday night the governor rejected the utility's plan. he says it doesn't do enough to improve management or beef up safety enforcement procedures

under the state wildfire statute enacted in july. a professor the bankruptcy law at uc hastings says right now the company is focused on survival. >> it is fair for governor newsom to criticize the company and to criticize this plan. but i think it's somewhat unrealistic to expect this bankruptcy process to fix all the problems the company has. >> pg&e's power lines have been implicated in several deadly fires and the bankruptcy plans rely on the company tapping into a state fund to pay more than $13 billion in claims. newsom appears to want the option of breaking up the utility if the bankruptcy plan falls apart. >> he seems to be suggesting that he wants the right, if pg&e leaves bankruptcy and is not successful, to perhaps seize its assets and maybe give them to local entities although that's not clear. >> newsom's approval isn't legally required for the bankruptcy but his cooperation will be needed to tap into that state fund to settle with fire victims. in a statement, pg&e says it

believes the plan complies with the law and it will work to resolve any issues.sues.sues. dungeness crab season began. small boat captains may wait a little bit longer for ocean conditions to calm down. the season was pushed back a month after aerial surveys found too many whales still in the area. crabbing can increase the risk of entanglement for whales and sea turtles. get this, an east bay ice rink is melting after vandals tampered with the valves to the ice chiller. but the community are not letting the crime put a damper on christmas. abc 7 news reporter luz pena explains, for the time being, this ice rink is more like a lake. ♪ >> reporter: the 37th annual brentwood holiday parade is in

full swing. things turn from joyful to -- >> kind of disappointed. >> reporter: this was supposed to be brentwood on ice. ten to 12 birthday parties were planned. 200 people were expected to skate. instead, take a look. the ice rink is empty. >> we came in this morning and it was a lake instead of an ice rink, so kind of panicked and ran around. >> reporter: once tom gregory got to the back of the rink he found water running down his parking lot and his equipment tampered with. >> they opened up a couple of drain lines that emptied the refrigerant, a lot of the refridge right now out of the ice rink system. it may have damaged the chillers as well. we may have to replace the entire chiller tonight. >> reporter: getting enough ice may take three to four days. it will potentially open on wednesday. >> these customers were caught on camera. he says they stole a pair of

skates and got into an argument with an employee friday night. he says they may have come back overnight and vandalized his business. he filed a report but as he waits, ice keeps melting away. jeremy newberry, former 49ers player, says he's disappointed. >> they took money out of real nice people's mouths. >> reporter: while this community waits for the ice rink to reopen, they've come together to support this local business in a different way, hot chocolate and sweaters, while some bet on what santa might bring the vandals this year. >> santa won't give them any gifts this year? >> probably not. >> yeah, probably not. >> probably just some coal. >> reporter: in brentwood, luz pena, abc 7 news. in the south bay, santa and his reindeer will get some exercise at the annual santa run silicon valley. the annual 5k walk is for the whole family.

participants are encouraged to dress up as their favorite holiday character. the course winds through downtown san jose and ends at christmas in the park where you can enjoy the festivities with cookies and milk. it starts at 3:00 this afternoon. there will be a kids reindeer dash an hour earlier. registration is still open if you want to head down there. lisa, it seems like it will be a pretty dry day, good news for all these activities. >> that's right. certainly starting out cold. ten-degree spread from low 40s in our valleys to low 50s on the coast. there is a beautiful shot from our sutro tower camera. golden gate bridge, mid- to upper 50s today. sunny for everyone. a few clouds over the higher elevations. we'll see increasing clouds throughout the beginning of the workweek leading to, you guessed it, more rain mid-week. also next, the bay area's third shake shack location opens today where you can get your hands on the popular east coast burgers.

was helping in the search for a missing hiker. san bernardino county sheriff says he got separated from his partner after an apparent fall. staples was found dead in the ice and snow. he was an experienced searcher and investigators are trying to figure out exactly what happened. the search for the hiker is now being suspended as crews reevaluate the conditions. the worlds of brick and mortar and social media are intertwined even more closely than you might have thought. facebook is able to track what you buy in stores and then target you with ads online. here is abc's becky worley with the details. >> reporter: if you're hitting the mall this weekend to holiday shop, facebook may be tracking your purchases. reports that the social media platform with help from retail partners with monitoring what users are buying, not just online but in brick and mortar stores too. >> it lets businesses send it information about what you purchased. >> reporter: according to "business insider," businesses

are teaming up with the social media giant, offering facebook personal information to create targeted ads. retail companies sending names, phone numbers, email addresses and more along with what products people purchase. facebook then using this information to identify the user in its database, to target them with that business's ads. >> the main way that facebook makes money is by selling ads. and the reason it's able to really dominate the online ad industry is because it controls so much personal information and data about its users. >> reporter: facebook confirming the practice, saying retailers are able to reach their customers with ads on facebook, saying, this is standard for the industry. when asked, stories like macy's praised the collaboration is a way to "fuel our growth." facebook says you can limit how many information is shared with them. go to privacy settings. from there you can customize how much information is shown and

tracked. facebook says there's a way to find out why you're seeing the ads you're seeing. in each ad, click on the dropdown menu. it says, "why am i seeing this ad?" >> that was becky worley reporting. somehow i'm not surprised about that. the tv series about the deadly 2016 ghost ship warehouse fire is on hold for now. anger over the crisis caused the creators of the series to put it on pause. they had signed a deal with cbs television studios for several tv projects. they say they isn't sold the ghost ship project. even just speculation about the project led many friends and family members of of the ghost ship victims to ask them to reconsider. the creators have agreed to stop the project. san francisco police and

volunteers will gather today to look for a stolen dog named jackson. here is a photo of the 5-year-old mini australian shepherd. officers say someone stole jackson yesterday morning from outside the grocery life grocery store on courtland avenue in the ingleside district. anyone with information about jackson's whereabouts is asked to call sfpd. two wildfire survivors in paradise are spending this weekend in their brand-new tiny home. the roberts family could not hold back those tears when they got the home this week. volunteers from the reach out worldwide foundation spent four days building the tiny home. the roberts lost everything in the campfire, the deadliest wildfire in california history. one family member said, they couldn't believe this is all for them. >> my reaction was, this can't be my place. they did such a good job. it was like a dream come true. >> roberts said his only goal since the fire has been to keep his family safe and dry and that

this gift is lifting a huge weight off his shoulders. super shuttle is going out of business. in recent years it's had trouble competing with ride share companies like uber and lyft. the company had begun service to airports. they will honor all reservations through november 31st. the story of dr. ram on resa was shared at the canal alliance education building in san rafael. as a boy he helped his adoptive family pick cotton in the valley while he went for college. he cared for the children of migrant farm workers for 30 years. now he tours the country inspiring others.

happening today on the peninsula, shake shack opens its third bay area restaurant. the east coast burger chain will open its doors at hillsdale shopping center in san mateo at 1:00 this morning. the first 100 guests will get shake shack beanies. the cult favorite plans to offer two san francisco locations, one in the westfield mall and another in cow hollow. those locations don't have opening dates yet. the battle of the burgers continues. in the east bay, a tree lighting is happening today after being rescheduled from last weekend because of wet weather. it will start at 4:00 p.m. santa claus of course will be there too from 4:00 to 6:00 to hear what the kids want for christmas. the city will also honor the clayton valley charter high school football team which won its first ever state championship. there will be festive performances, fun day for everyone. the tree lighting is at 6:30 tonight. now let's get a check of the weather. it should be pretty dry tonight, lisa. >> yes, but cold.

we're entering into the coldest time of the month so far as we get towards tomorrow morning where we'll have widespread 30s in our protected valleys, a few 30s early this morning. as we look at live doppler 7, we have clear sky over california. this is our next system embedded in all that cloud cover. we will talk about that arriving by mid-week. lots of sunshine, city of san francisco beautiful this morning with 48 in san jose, redwood city 44. half moon bay, 52. if you're headed into san francisco today, lots of sunshine, mid-50s, breezy at times. winds will be along the coast. higher elevations. we'll look for 40s to really make a comeback in the next couple of hours, because we were down into the mid-30s. with a little sun, already warming up nicely, relatively, from santa rosa to napa in the low 40s in livermore, you're at 43. it's been colder this morning. obviously you felt that too, seven degrees cooler. 11 degrees cooler earlier,

because temperatures haven't been in the 30s in a while due to all of our low level moisture that brings a stronger westerly flow that is relatively warmer. you can see the wind direction out of the northwest. if the surface were calm, upper elevations a bit of a breeze out there for sure. mt. tam, 27-mile-per-hour gusts. these winds will keep that northwesterly chill to the air today. it definitely feels like winter out there or a cool day. you can see the flag blowing here from pier 15. mostly clear and cool this morning, partly cloudy this afternoon. then our next system coming into play, looks like overnight tuesday into wednesday. the week ahead, dry conditions for your monday. here's tuesday with the cloud cover into wednesday. here is the rain. and it looks like from wednesday morning, scattered showers. then we dry out for your thursday, friday. look what happens as we get into saturday. next storm system looks to come

spirit. they put together food boxes to hand out to 3,500 families later this week. each box is full of fruit, veggies, rice, oil, and bread. they'll choose whether to take home a turkey, ham, or chicken. it helps some with a holiday meal and for others, it just helps surviving. >> it's not just special things for the holidays but for a lot of families it's the groceries they need to get through the month. >> very little of their income is left for food, clothes, bills, and other expenses. one thief, a porch pirate, left something behind, a note thanking the victim in st. paul, minnesota for letting the thief steal a package left outside their front door and signed by, quote, the new owner of your package. the homeowner posted the note on social media where it got a lot of attention.

work rules. >> reporter: a california labor union, unite here 11, is outlining their plans to picket. the union, which represents 150 cashiers, cooks, and dishwashers, iseni eningis enta labor dispute with the company contracted to handle food services for the university. the university is trying to move forward as planned. they say, we are working with all stakeholders to find an acceptable resolution that meets their needs and is consistent with our values. >> having these debates is critical for americans to see the differences between candidates. >> reporter: only seven of the 15 democratic candidates have qualified for thursday's matchup. now there are growing calls to lower the threshold for the next round of debates in early 2020. senator cory booker's campaign leading the effort after he failed to make the stage, sending this letter to the dnc with the company signed by nine

candidates including the early frontrunners. >> narrowing it too soon means we're not going to hear from everyone. and i'm sorry to see that. >> reporter: rachel scott, abc news, pittsburgh. we just got a new statement from the union confirming to abc news that they are agreed to return to the negotiating table. they say they hope to be able to reach an agreement possibly by tuesday but hopefully especially before thursday's debate. now let's get to the showdown in washington. the articles of impeachment against president trump go to the full house with a vote expected this week. abc news reporter david wright has the latest from the white house. >> reporter: get ready for big drama wrapped up in lots of parliamentary procedure as the house of representatives takes up the impeachment of president trump. the judiciary committee has approved two articles of impeachment, abuse of power and obstruction of congress. now the debate. we'll hear from members on both sides. it is likely to be bitterly partisan.

but there's little mystery about the outcome of the vote when they finally do vote, most likely on wednesday. democrats are in the driver's seat for this part of the process. but republicans do hope to chip away at democratic unity, targeting members from districts where trump support is strong. there are 31 of them, two of them have already said they'll of impeachment. and congressman jeff van drew of new jersey is expected to quit the democratic party and cross the aisle to the republicans, dramatically, sometime this week. over in the senate, republicans have the majority. they set the rules. senator mitch mcconnell has said that the republicans will be in total coordination with the white house in the senate trial that follows. most likely in the new year. the constitution requires a two-thirds majority to remove a president. so the ground is much more favorable to president trump over in the senate. david wright, abc news,

washington. attorneys for actress lori loughlin said federal prosecutors are withholding evidence that the defense has a right to examine. the couple's legal team filed a motion asking the government to turn in the evidence. both are pleading not guilty in a cheating and bribery scheme. the defense argues they thought it was a gift, not a bribe. both face 40 years in prison. a wedding planner website says it's cutting ties with cable channel after its advertisement showing two same-sex newlyweds kissing was rejected.

>> do you think we could have made planning areeasier? >> we do. >> reporter: most of the ads feature a same-sex female couple along with heterosexual couples. but a conservative group, one million moms, published a petition with 40,000 signatures asking hallmark to reconsider airing commercials with same-sex couples, telling abc news that its parent company made the decision to pull the commercials, saying they were distracting from the purpose of our network which is to provide entertainment value. that decision triggering a widespread debate, the hashtag #boycottha#boycottha#boy trending. ellen degeneres asking, isn't it almost 2020, what are you thinking? please explain, we're all ears.

just this year, crown media's ceo saying this. >> we're open to any type of movie of any type of relationship. >> reporter: in a statement, zola says all kisses, couples and marriages are equal celebrations of love and we will no longer be advertising on hallmark. whit johnson, abc news, new york. it was an emotional football game in new town, connecticut, on the seventh anniversary of the sandy hook shooting in the town. the local high school won the state championship. it wasn't an easy win. the new town high school knight hawks went on a touchdown pass as time expired, to win the game 13-7. it was the first for new town since 1992. one linebacker's brother was among the 20 first graders killed in the 2012 massacre. many other players knew families affected. six educators were also killed.

this is overnight tonight. with that dry air, another nice day on tap for your monday. from our roof camera you can see a little bit of a breeze there. live doppler 7 picking up a little bit of moisture offshore. high pressure will keep us dry and sunny for the next couple of days. this system arrives with moderate rain, san francisco down through the central coast. we could use more rain from san jose to oakland, where we have anywhere from two to four inches of rain for the season, which translates from 50 to about 63% of average. now, in san tta rosa, 10.75 incs of rain puts you to 116% of average. so looking at pretty good start so far in the mountains. you probably know we're doing just fine with over 100% of average. now, this weekend system looks to be a cold one. the one in the middle of the week looks to be a more moderate one with perhaps less accumulated precip. 56 in fremont today as well as
