the little girl is bethanie carraza, her father is victor man man. julian glover has more from san jose. >> reporter: this all started as an assault, a stabbing of that young girl's mom. it happened feet away from me at this home in san jose. just moments ago, the police actually cleared the scene. they had it blocked off, wrapped with crime scene tape for about eight hours. they're gone. we're hearing that mom is in the hospital with life threatening injuries. we cannot show you these pictures enough. we'll put them uponyour screen. because police say before they could get to this home, the father, 24-year-old victor magana, actually abducted his 2-year-old daughter, bethanie carraza, and she is missing this morning. and that is what has touched off the desperate search and the amber alert that has been issued for several counties here in the

south bay area. again, that girl, 2 years old, brown hair, brown eyes. the father, 24 years old. his name is victor magana. 5'4" 140 pounds, also with brown hair and brown eyes. there's a picture on your screen. police believe the two could be in this '07 hyundai santa fe with california plate, 7xjx025. again, video from earlier this morning when investigators first got that 911 call, showed up to the home, that's when they realized the father and that 2-year-old were both missing. this active police investigation happening just blocks away from san jose state university's campus. again, that 2-year-old is missing this morning. police are hoping that you can assist them in making sure she comes home safely. if you need another look at bethanie's picture, it's up on our website, abc7news.com. please look at it. her mother and the rest of her family certainly hope she comes

>> republicans say a senate trial will be dead on arrival. a lot of raiders fans feeling a double sense of loss this morning. first of all, the raiders did not win. second, they won't get another chance to win at the coliseum. amy hollyfield is live in alameda with that story. good morning. >> good morning, kumasi. the team is apologizing to fans. coach jon gruden apologized to the fans for not giving them a win at the last home game. they have their tradition of huge epic delicious fan tailgating at the coliseum. they're also known for their loyalty and costumes and spirit. so this was all still a good time. it wasn't until the second half that things turned sour. the jaguars dominated that half. the raiders lost what is expected to be their last game at the coliseum. fans were booing and throwing trash on to the field and

feeling sad when we caught up with them later. >> we lost the game. we lost the team. it's -- i don't know. we'll see them in vaegas. >> it didn't seem so final to me. >> this is the scene at ricky's in san leandro. up less there are surprise construction delays, that was the last game at home. the team will play at a new stadium in las vegas starting next season. this season has two games left, l.a. and denver. then they can bring in the moving boxeses. any have to pack uf the officup offices, the training facility. the team is headed to las vegas. the raiders are set to start playing at the $2 billion allegiant stadium in las vegas next year after a lengthy battle with oakland for a new stadium. here's a live look at the new

stadium now. the cal football team is expected to play unlv at allegiant. developing news from monterey county, the highway patrol says there are five more cases of projectiles being shot at moving cars along highway 101. you're looking at one of the five cars hit saturday night. investigators say all of the attacks took place within a six-minute window in the northbound direction. so now a total of 11 cars have been hit near prunedale since thursday. all of the cars were struck on the driver's window or windshield. these are the latest of 61 similar incidents since february. a gofundme campaign has raised more than $1700 to help one east bay ice rink continue a holiday tradition. look at this. the ice at the rink at brentwood on ice is one inch less now. the owners say somebody tampered

the hallmark channel is apologizing for pulling an ad that shows two women kissing. hallmark since reversed its decision and will run the commercial after facing backlash for pulling this ad for the

wedding planning site zola. the channel said the ad has become a distraction. the president and ceo of hallmark said that the crown media team has been agonizing over the decision as we've seen the hurt it's unintentionally caused. said simply they believe this was the wrong decision. we are truly sorry for the hurt and disappointment this has caused. a team of volunteers are on the search for a dog named jackson who was taken saturday outside of a grocery store. >> if you see any businesses or high foot traffic areas, that's where we want to send people. >> volunteers gathered at a coffee shop on cortland avenue near good life grocery, that's where the mini australian shepherd went missing. volunteers searched the area and put up flyers. sfpd tweeted this photo of jackson. they're asking anyone with information on his whereabouts to contact them. i hope he can come back for the holidays. at 6:17, lisa is joining us

abc7news.com. all of this touched off from the home behind me here at 11th and reed. police say the father, 24-year-old victor magana, on your screen right now, stabbed that young girl's mother here at the home around 10:00 p.m. last night before police could get here, that's when they say the father, again victor magana, abducted the 2-year-old girl, bethanie carraza and they believe they could be together in this 2007 light green hyundai santa fe car, similar to the one on your screen with california plates 7xjx025. this was a much more active police presence earlier this morning when police were investigating the stabbing. we're hearing the mother has with life threatening injuries. no further details about her condition is being released now. the

until they safely provide power, they want pg&e to invest in minority and disabled communities. and they want to turn pg&e over to the people. pg&e has until tomorrow to meet governor newsom's plan to rework their bankruptcy reorganization plan. newsom says the proposal submitted on thursday doesn't do enough to beef up safety enforcement. the governor says pg&e will have to negotiate changes before it can tap into a state fund to pay more than $13 billion in fire claims. the state fund is a key part to emerge from bankruptcy. pg&e says they believe the plan complies with the law and will work to resolve any issues. democratic presidential candidate pete buttigieg will be in the bay area for three fund-raising events. this morning mayor pete will be in palo alto and according to vox, representatives from silicon valley's wealthiest families will be there. that includes the wife of the google co-founder and the sister of chersheryl sandberg. then he will make his way to wood side before coming to san francisco tonight. we've been following a

controversial solution to the homeless crisis in san francisco. there's a new navigation center built along the embarcadero. abc news contributor and chronicle reporter phil matier reports it's expected to open this week. the center near the bay bridge will house up to 200 people. neighbors who fought against the navigation center argue it will bring more drugs and crime to the area. police say they're setting up a two-block safety zone around that center to keep loiterers, homeless encampments and drug use outside of the zone. now that san francisco's e-scooter program has expanded, an additional 750 e-scooters will be on the streets. spin, lime and jump are allowed to release 250 e-scooters each starting yesterday. they can be found in several neighborhoods including mission, castro, bayview and near san francisco state university. by february of next year, a total of 4,000 e-scooters will be allowed in san francisco. facebook is tracking more than what you buy online.

it's raising concern about how facebook is tracking us. the business insider report says that retail companies are in on it. they send facebook the names, phone numbers, email addresses of customers to target us with those ads. >> the main way facebook makes money is to sell ads, the way they dominate the online ad industry is because they control so much personal information and data about users. >> facebook says this is a standard practice for the industry. you can limit how much information is shared. go to privacy settings, click on ad preferences. from there you can customize what ads show up in your feed. a new study by uc san francisco is highlighting how dangerous e-cigarettes are. the study says e-cigarette use increases the risk of developing chronic lung diseases, this

includes asthma, bronchitis, emphysema and pulmonary disease. the risk is higher for those who smoke regular tobacco and e-cigarettes. this is the first long-term study on the effects of e-cigarettes. the findings are published in the journal of preventive medicine published today. to your morning money report, a big streaming deal for our parent company. >> disney is adding disney plus to a popular streaming, it v service in france. disney plus added about 28 million customers since its launch last month. super shuttle is going out of business at the end of the year. the service carries passengers to and from airports across north america, europe and asia. in recent years they had trouble competing against uber and lyft. a letter obtained by the "l.a. times" says the company will honor all reservations through december 31st. and a live look at the new york stock exchange. we're starting up about 141 points. analysts say investors are still reacting to news of last week of a trade agreement between the u.s. and china. commercial crab season is now under way in the bay area. fishermen were glad to get out on the water after a month

delay. the season was supposed to start on november 15th. but it had to be pushed back because of whale migration. now the fishermen are working to make up for lost time and time is money. >> it's a big deal. financially for boat owners, for their livelihood, for the processors, for everyone. >> one boat returned with 9,000 pounds of crab for the market. the season can last until july depending on migration. this week is expected to be the busiest shopping week for the u.s. postal service ahead of the holidays. the san francisco mail processing center is expected to process 225,000 packages just today. a total of 1.5 million for the week. nationally more than 200 million packages are expected to be processed and delivered. officials say they used to have a busy day, but now it's a whole week because of an increase in online purchases. they say packages are also getting bigger. so the san francisco mail processing center has a special machine to deal with that.
