but alaska airlines entered a generic oakland destination in the uber app instead of the airport which the driver didn't seem to understand. >> started yelling at us and said we were trying to trick him and that we were stealing from him. >> reporter: refusing to let them out of his suv, he got on the 880 entrance. >> we start to get a bit more panicked and begging and pleading to let us off. >> reporter: that's when wrestler called 911. eventually the uber driver got off 880 at the exit where oakland pd met them. frustrated with what he felt was an insufficient response from uber on the matter wrestler contacted abc 7. i reached out to uber who told me that the driver has been fired. in a statement uber said what's been described as disturbing and we have removed the driver's access to the app. we stand ready to support law enforcement with their investigation. i'm kate larson, abc 7 news.

new surveillance video shows the moment a 17-year-old girl crashed an airplane at fresno yosemite international airport. the girl took control of the small two engine plane. it crashed into a chain-link fence and hit a maintenance building before finally coming to a halt. fortunately no one was hurt. the teenager was arrested and charged with theft of an aircraft. in the east bay a food delivery person is caught on camera stealing while on the job. this happened saturday in berkeley. she's seen grabbing as many packages as she can from the lob lobby of an apartment building before leaving. police released this video today as they search for this package thief. a special graduation surprise for one san jose state student. >> the university made sure a touching message of support made it more than 5,000 miles. we're going to get to that in just a moment because we really want you to see how that turned

out. stay with us. that's coming up. new developments about california's earthquake early warning cellphone app. it actually issued its first public alert. it went out yesterday when a 34 34.3 magnitude earthquake shook in a rural area. the app's project managers say it alerted more than 40 people about the quake. the my shake app was developed at uc berkeley and it was released you might remember back in october. >> now, you're looking at a time lapse video of the snow squall that swept through new york city today. a snow qual is a sudden intense burst of snow with strong winds. snow squalls move much faster than blizzards. this one was over the city for just 30 minutes. central park got 0.04 of an inch of snow. look how quickly it just swept over. >> i know that wasn't realtime
