on new year's eve when someone stole his laptop. zeng chased after the thief and was hit by the getaway vehicle and was killed. there was a vigil for him yesterday where everyone shared stories about the 34-year-old physics specialist. >> he was a person who was kind and respected by everyone who knew him and worked with him. he was a dear friend of many of us still to this day, and he made a habit of being honorable in every part of his life. >> here are the men who have been arrested and accused in his death. 22-year-old byron reid jr. and 21-year-old javon lee. they are due in court today. zeng's family plans to hold a memorial service for him in the bay area and also one in china. reporting live in oakland, amy hollyfield, abc7 news. it's 4:30. if you're just joining us. we'll get a quick update of weather and traffic where you
