her family says she was jumped and beaten by two teenage girls. live in union city with disturbing details. cornell. it sounds like she may have lost consciousness. >> that's maria being treated by paramedics after they say they were attacked tuesday morning by two teenage girls. >> they start screaming about what did you want to do sn bhooz rr going to fight first? >> one of the girls had been fullying his 16-year-old daughter. they were at the school to complain but were confronted before they made it to the front door. >> translator: the girl was furious, turned around, grabbed me by the hair, dragged me. >> reporter: the bruises show where she was punched and kicked. her nose was broken.

>> i just wanted to go inside the office and talk to the principal. you would never imagine a kid to hit an adult. >> he tried to pull the teens off his wife and daughter who was also hit. police responded and one of the teenagers. they sent a letter at the said in part we're investigating and following up, working directly with the union city police department and taking disciplinary action. we believe this to be between the two logan students and not appear to involve any other students. the unprovoked attack happened four days ago. now she wants justice. >> what happens the day another parent wants to talk to counselors? are they also going to get assaulted like i did? >> reporter: now, the family says they are considering moving their daughter to another high

best thing i heard all day. >> reporter: it will take two to four years to install. an even bigger ticket item is officially in the works. they approved an $880 million contract to build a modern control system to replace the antiquated system. >> we're going to put 25% more trains on rush hour. so going from 24 to 30 trains every hour. is absolutely essential. >> the build out will likely take seven years. but coming soon to you, new ambassadors. in six weeks they will begin riding trains from 2:00 p.m. to midnight. it will focus on oakland to san francisco. the ambassadors will not carry guns. >> they're not going to scare too many people. they get to direct people, help

>> in the east bay police were looking for four robbers who barged into the home of an elderly couple. happened in the sundael neighborhood. the suspects eventually confronted the couple but didn't hurt them. they stole property and valuables from the home. an east bay teacher has been accused of having sex with more than two students two decades gu# ago. >> reporter: lafayette police arrested kyle ann wood last night. they say wood had inappropriate and unlaump relationships between 1996 and 1998, when she was a teacher. burglars got away with more than $83,000 worth of watches and jewelry from the blooming dales at the stanford shopping center. they're looking into whether this could be linked to similar crimes.

iran's antiaircraft system hit the jetliner killing all 176 people on board. more than 1/3 canadian. >> the evidence indicates the plane was shot down by an iranian surface-to-air missile. this may well have been unintentional. >> reporter: a u.s. official confirms it captured iran firing at # two missiles at the plane, blowing into bits of shrapnel that would pierce the aircraft in several places. president trump only going as far as to call the crash suspicious. >> someone could have made a mistake. i don't think that's even a question, purgsinally. >> reporter: iran denies shooting down the jet. investigators will review the black boxes that will recover from the scene before the wreckage was quickly cleared away. iran has invited other countries

to participate including the u.s., canada and ukraine, which says its experts are looking for several possible causes. marcy gonzalez, abc news, los angeles. that plane crash came a few hours after they launched a bealistic missal attack. on the campaign trail tonight, president trump defended the killing of an iranian general that prompted the attack. >> the united states once again took the bold and decisive action to save american lives and deliver american justice. >> the house approved a resolution at the sets limits around mr. trump's ability to act unilaterally. when making decisions about any military action in iran. an iranian general has threatened more attacks by proxy forces.
