what happened? it is fast a tornado went through my house? >> a good description. first she lost her home in the tubbs fire and now a group of marauding teenagers trashed the new home she spent two years building. good evening. >> thanks for joining us. that homeowner was looking forward to moving on. then dozens of teams delivered a devastating setback. >> live in the fountain grove neighborhood with the story. >> we're actually inside this house. this was really a case of piling on for this homeowner, rosemary yates. she lost her home more than two years ago. she was very close to completing this new home when last weekend, some teenagers decided to break in, party, and trash it. >> so we see the two girls coming up the stairs.

>> reporter: she said it was caught on her security cameras and police are looking at social media videos like the one at the raging teen party that happened in her new home. >> i just saw this horror. what happened? it was fast a tornado had gone through my house. >> the window is down there. >> reporter: they apparently got in throug a window and over the next six hour, police estimate 40 to 80 kids came and went. leaving behind pie of garbage and thousands of dollars in damage. >> they took one of these article chairs and threw it. they took out the header, took out the stairs, part of the wall. >> reporter: and with no working plumbing, they even urinated on the floors and used a closet as a toilet. >> vomit, pee, oh. i mean, alcohol, the smell of pot. >> reporter: a santa rosa police

spokesperson told abc7 news, the felony vandalism report is still currently under investigation. we have identified some of the partygoers, but trying to prove who was responsible for causing the damage is difficult. >> this is an example of a wall in the bathroom that's randomly kicked in. >> she said if anything good come of this, that neighbors and strangers have reached out to her, even helping identify some of the partygoers. >> i can't imagine what they think when they send out these ma'ams and target a home. four minutes after i left on friday night, there were kids up the back steps. breaking into my house. >> reporter: now police and the homeowner could see these kids partying. they were on top of this marble fable they already had placed here in the home. >> the trick will be for police to gather enough evidence to

actually prosecute those here did. hive in santa rosa. abc7 news. a developing story in marin. some scary moments at tam high this week. chris reyes explains, the person he charged in the case is a former student. >> our detectives were able to locate the ak-47 replica which was determined to be a gun with electrical tape placed over the orange tip that's supposed to be over the end of the gun. >> reporter: reports of the man with the gun roaming around led to hours of heavy police presence. police lifted the lockdown a found hours later after it was believed that he left the area in the car. but wasn't until wednesday that police made quakt the man they say rented the vehicle. that man turned himself in. >> an additional investigation with the witness coming forward

led to us identify michael kessler, a 21-year-old man from fairfield, california, agency the person responsible for the large police response. >> police say he was performing a video for snap chat. >> it's terrifying. i think he put himself in grave danger with our students and our community. >> reporter: kessler faces several charges including possession of a weapon near school grounds and brandishing a replicated firearm. >> i did hear from parents. they were grateful for the community that had come down from the lock done this is a great example of people coming forward when they see something suspicious. >> reporter: police did not have in i information on whether police graduated or whether he has any current connectin to the school. he is due in court on thursday. chris reyes, abc7 news.anz tas

bay area tech executive dead after he was taken from his ocean front home last year. the killer has not yet been found. chris nguyen has more. >> reporter: in santa cruz county, a murder last fall is on the mind of many. >> he was well liked and received in the community. it is it was a shock. >> reporter: investigator say he was taken from his home around 3:00 in the morning on october 1st of last year and forced into his girlfriend's vehicle. he was found hours later in the santa cruz mountains on santa cruz road dead from a single gunshot. today sheriff's officers investigatorser followed path. >> my personnel have been working on tushar's murder since the morning it occurred and we are all committed to solving this awful crime. >> reporter: the sheriff's office released new video of a person of interest seen here in this surveillance image near the home three hours before the

kidnapping. it shows someone riding a bike up. >> it is not normal. that's why we want to talk to this person and find out those answers. >> the sheriff's office investigators have yet to identify who is responsible for the attack but are hoping a publicly funded reward of $200,000 will help drak case. >> it keeps everybody on the edge. as a community, we're very tight knit. everybody basically knows everybody. >> to be eligible for the reward, you must dakt sheriff's office by july 22nd, 2020, with information leading to an arrest and conviction of the suspect. a disabled man is suffering from a broken wrist when a man dumped him out of wheelchair. it started with a dispute over

handicapped parking and ended up inside. >> reporter: watch what happened. it is phillip kins hir who is paralyzed from the chest down. he is dumped on to the floor by an able bodied man while shoppers stand and watchful kinsler said it was far from a fair fight. >> i'm like the 52-year-old paralyzed guy. from here down. a 3-year-old girl could push me. >> reporter: it all started when the victim confronted an able bodied female driver in the parking lot for parking in a hand camden spot. >> i just planted to the side and i said, could you please not park in the handicapped parking. >> reporter: kinsler said he went into the store to return an item. that's when the woman's husband came in and confront him. >> i didn't know what he was going to do. if he was on something. >> reporter: police stay suspect identified as jimmy tiger of

on areas of fog for the morning commute. the warmer pattern the next few days and it is turning much cooler over the weekend. the wave heights are coming up. there is a risk of rip currents and sneaker waves. temperatures first thing in the morning, fog is the only thing you'll have to look out for. i don't think it will be quite as extensive as today. that's because the air is drier. we are noticing the dew points coming down. highs for thursday. getting up to 72 degrees in fairfield skoofl in san francisco, low 60s around half moon bay. 64 in oakland. 66, fremont, or 6 degrees in san jose. if you're wonder berg washing your car, should i wash my car or wait?

we're not expecting any rain. we need rain. since october 1st, our rainfall deficit is anywhere from three inches in san jose to almost five inches at sfo of pressure ridge will continue to build in well to our north as we head into next week. the weekend, sunday, showers over the sierra. for the rest us, we're really just looking at a dry pattern, unfortunately, going into next week. a warmer day, hints of spring, low 70s inland. but much cooler weather for the weekend. and going into next week, it will be back to what we're used to. >> that's nice. >>
