70 away from the coast. we have a canopy of high clouds out there. it's milder this morning. sneaking under that, and fog at the coast. it's slipping under the golden gate bridge. it's about 51 degrees. that will be your biggest issue for the commute. just for temperatures, 47 to 53 degrees. mid to upper 50s at the coast. we hit 60 at noon, which is warmer than average. mid 60s by 4:00. and back into the mid 50s by 7:00. even some upper 50s, 53 to 57. let's check the morning commute and say hi to jobina. >> thank you, mike. good morning. looking at two minor issues right now. the first is in sunnyvale, a crash involving two cars here blocking one lane. no injuries reported there. this is westbound 237. moving over to burlingame, a stalled car, this is northbound 101 past broadway. it's blocking one lane right now. hopefully they can move it out for everyone.

live look at walnut creek, 680 there, definitely filling in. moving over to san rafael, 101, nice clear ride there. >> thanks. developing news in geneva, the world health organization is meeting with chinese officials to determine whether the coronavirus should be declared a global health crisis. nearly 170 people have died from it. a group flying in from china have been quarantined in southern california. >> i've never seen a plane set up like that before. it was a wide open cargo plane but had passenger seats in it. it felt like something out of a movie. >> the cdc examined each passenger tries to make sure they didn't have symptoms. 25 students in los gatos will noting g in ing not be going to.

they have been sending students to china for the last ten years. kobe bryant's wife, vanessa bryant, says her family is completely devastated and she's thanking the millions of fans who have shown support following the helicopter crash that killed her husband and 13-year-old daughter. seven others also died. yesterday l.a. clippers star kawahi leonard said kobe is a friend and mentor. he said he also used a helicopter to commute and shared the same pilot that kobe did. >> he's one of the best pilots. that's a guy you ask for to fly you city to city. he'll drop me off and say he's about to pick up kobe. kobe says hello. or just be like i just dropped kobe off. he said hello. >> leonard said he has not been able to think about the

helicopter crash has given him pause about continuing to use that mode of transportation. in the east bay, a high school student is sharing a personalized get well message that he got from kobe bryant two years ago. >> medi, how are you doing? i understand you were in a horrible accident but you're also a fighter and that you'll come back stronger than ever. >> so medi peres was hospitalized after a car accident, he missed his team's tournament in southern california. that's where his coach met bryant and asked him to record the message. she said it made all the difference in her son's recovery. >> he teared up. there was just an immense feeling of he could get through this. he had been feeling so down. >> just this week, doctors gave medi a clean bill of health. his mom said she wished bryant new how his words impacted her son.

we turn to our super bowl liv coverage just a few days away. as fans are focused on the big game, law enforcement is working to make sure everyone sees that this happens safely. here is a live look at hard rock stadium where the theme is if you see something say something. here is julian glover with more on how they're getting ready. >> reporter: good morning. most of the security surrounding the super bowl is right around hard rock stadium where the chiefs and 49ers will play come sunday. we've been in miami for five days, it's impossible to missed stepped up security everything from bike patrols, to officers walking around on foot to mobile command units. we want to tell you about some preparations at the adium. customs and border protection is examining cargo trucks coming into hard rock. each driver is checked. the trucks go through an x-ray and police k-9s are sniffing out

check out the dramatic drop that will happen saturday into sunday when the cold front comes through. most areas will drop 10 to 15 degrees and it will be windy the entire day. all right. now to an important alert for parents. four different brands are recalling about 165,000 inclined infant sleepers because of safety concerns. they pose a suffocation risk for babies. the consumer product safety commission says the recall impacts sleepers from graco, evenflo and delta children. no injuries have been reported. the cpsc recommends parents to stop using the incline sleepers immediately. this follows a big fisher-price recall last april that was tied to more than 30 deaths. nordstrom is getting into the used clothing business. nordstrom will start selling

police have shut down lee avenue between southwest expressway and derosa way. no suspects have been identified. the fallout over the new public corruption scandal in san francisco continues. >> now it's impacting sfo. abc7 news reporter amy hollyfield is live there with the story. >> good morning, an airport commissioner has resigned as a san francisco supervisor was planning to call for her resignation. we're talking about linda crayton. she said she is doing so for health reasons. she did meet with the two men involved in this scandal, mohammed nuru and nick bovis. they offerer eed her a $5,000 and a trip, in exchange for her to grant a license to open a new restaurant in the airport. she did not accept the money.

she has not been charged with a crime, but san francisco supervisor aaron peskin did not like what he read in the criminal complaint about crayton. >> while it is true that a sitting city commissioner did not take a cash bribe, the words that were recorded are beyond unethical and inappropriate. it is conduct that is not becoming of a city officer, which an airport commissioner is. another supervisor, matt haney, will be calling today for the immediate firing of the public works director, mohammed nuru, and will be calling for an internal investigation. nuru and bovis face up to 20 years in prison on corruption charges. nuru's attorney says his client looks forward to fighting the allegations. back to linda crayton, she has not been charged with a crime. her attorney says she did nothing wrong. reporting live at sfo, amy hollyfield, abc7 news. >> thank you. kobe bryant's wife is breaking her silence after the tragic helicopter crash that killed the nba star and the couple's 13-year-old daughter, gianna. >> in an instagram post, vanessa bryant writes she completely devastated. she also says in part there are

not enough words to describe our pain right now. i take comfort in knowing that kobe and gigi both knew they were so deeply loved. yesterday kobe's former team, the lakers, practiced for the first time since the crash. his influence is being felt far beyond the court with alex trebek paying tribute. >> we lost a los angeles legend. there's a lot to miss in the death of kobe bryant. >> the ntsb and the faa are still investigating the cause of the helicopter crash which claimed a total of nine lives. in the east bay, look at this tribute. it is a 115-foot long 92-foot wide grass image of kobe. the creators behind this design are called new ground technology. they're not revealing the exact location but say it was located in a park in pleasanton. at the live desk, following an emergency meeting getting under way in geneva. the world health organization is

discussing the coronavirus. health leaders are expected to vote on whether to declare this virus a global health emergency. they had postponed making that call last week. the coronavirus killed at least 170 people in china. thousands of others are sick. the disease has spread to about 20 other countries including right here in the united states. >> thank you. sonoma county began clearing people camping on the joe rodota trail now that a federal judge declined to stop it. county workers have been doing outreach telling campers about a temporary shelter a few miles away. advocates for the homeless are demanding people be allowed to stay. they say they carved out a community for themselves. so far 30 people have moved voluntarily to the temporary camp. governor newsom says california is making significant progress in the effort to prevent wildfires. he said the state completed 34 of its 35 projects to protect communities most at risk.
