s how i'll do it. sarah: there you go. >> super bowl sunday is officially here. the dream season from the 49ers. just one win away from it all. for faithful dreaming of touchdowns in miami on the national stage. we are here to get you ready for super bowl liv. the city of san francisco is certainly ready. check this out. it's a bit foggy this morning but all last night across the city landmarks were lit up in the 49ers red and gold from the sales force and coit towers to city hall. even the lighting trim on other buildings around the city all ready for today. good morning, everyone. it is super bowl sunday february

the total number of deaths now tops more than 300. there's concern the number of coronavirus cases in china could be much higher than what's being reported from the country. there are more than 14,000 cases worldwide, including eight in the u.s. with one here in the bay area. all this comes as travis air force base in fairfield announced they will be one of four military bases quarantining people through the end of the month. airlines announcing they are suspending flights to and from china. lauren martinez loose at how the virus is impacting businesses. >> there's no business. what's the point of flying to china. nobody is going to china right now. >> three major u.s. airlines are canceling flights to and from china, united, delta and american airlines. at sfo she returned from china after visiting for the lunar new year. >> supposed to be the busiest

a couple of systems working their way through the bay area today out of the gulf of alaska that will accelerate a cooling trend, maybe bring a few sprinkles but overall as northwesterly winds pick up and bring an abrupt end to our mild weather. here is a look at the fog in the east bay. it is 46 in livermore with a good deal of fog from livermore to pleasanton and dublin. black hawk 44. closer to the bay in the 50s. also some fog in oakland. 47 in santa rosa. the bigger picture, much of the north bay not in the fog at this hour. fog mile visibility along the coast. we're looking at a warmer start to the coast due to cloud cover and some of the winds mixing that air mass in upper elevations. we're going to see a big change. you can almost see the camera shaking here. clouds and fog early. sun and winds today. chilly and gusty tonight. looking at several freezing cold mornings. monday morning, tuesday morning,

and even wednesday morning as a colder and dryer air mass settles in over the bay area. so look at the wind gusts, 30 to 32 from mount saint helena, mount diablo, mount tam, wind gusts. as we look at the wind profile, uptick in the wind continues throughout the morning hours. here we are 9:00, you can see the winds up to 46 miles an hour here along the coast. and then right on through the afternoon we'll continue to see the breezy to gusty winds. here we are right around after the game has started and looking at winds still very windy to gusty and even into the evening hours. the only good thing about this with this cooler and dryer air mass, it may allow the temperatures not to drop as quickly overnight tonight but that's going to be a different story as we get into monday night and tuesday. the coldest night should e monday night into tuesday. 55 in oakland today, fremont. 55 in san jose.

temperatures fairly uniform but we're anywhere from 5 to 12 degrees cooler. once again a ten-day check of precip shows we're going to be dry looks like right until around the middle of the month. overnight lows in santa rosa. monday morning, tomorrow morning in the 30s. should be in the upper 30s and freezing for tuesday, wednesday, and much of the bay even closer to the coast. we're looking at some pretty frosty temperatures. in miami, the front has moved through. it will be clear. we're sunny, about 6:00. temperatures will be in the mid-60s. low 60s with the clear sky and really nice night there with nothing but comfortable temperatures. the accuweather seven-day forecast, wind and sun today with temperatures only in the mid-50s. freezing cold mornings setting up for monday morning, tuesday morning. it will take towards the middle of the week when temperatures begin to gradually warm up and we'll lose that frosty feel. look at the numbers coming up above average again. it should be a pretty nice day

wearing featuring art from kobe bryant. one has bryant wearing a crown. the other has both of bryant's numbers, 24 and 48. since they are the niners colors, he should be able to wear them in the super bowl. the pennsylvania high school where kobe bryant went to school just held a special tribute to kobe bryant, his daughter and the other people killed in the helicopter crash. high school teammates showed up at the ceremony in lower merion in ardmore, pennsylvania. his cousin held up a framed jersey. that's the number kobe wore when he played there. two portraits of bryant were presented to the school. today is the last day fans can leave an item at the staples center in bryant's honor. crews will start removing the mount-of-mounta mountain of mementos but not everything thrown away. every toy, stuffed animal will be catalogued, boxed up and some

the distance and looking at some fog and clouds all around the bay. the fog is mainly in the east bay this morning. but you can see all the cloud cover. from this vantage point you can see we do have a front to the north of us. that cold air ushering in behind it, a line for northwesterly winds to kick up. half mile visibility in livermore, 3 miles in napa. otherwise 5 to 6 miles from the coast to oakland. looking at low 50s. really numbers aren't going to come up too much more than the low 50s. in some spots, peninsula, san francisco, you may gain a couple more degrees and that's about it. it is 47 in napa right now as well as livermore and fairfield. palo alto at 46. overnight lows dropping into the 30s for many of you tonight as the gusty winds taper off. for the morning, clouds and fog, sun and wind, then the cold nights, freezing cold temperatures maybe even into wednesday morning certainly in our valleys. the cold weather is going to

move all the way to the shoreline so it's going to be cold all around the bay area not just in the valleys overnight. here are the wind gusts up to nearly 40 miles an hour already in mount diablo. that's why with that atmosphere being mixed we have the milder temperatures this morning. as we go through the next several hours you'll notice the winds continue to increase especially at the coast. that's why we have the wind advisory, 30 to 45, maybe even 50-mile-an-hour gusts here. you can see the purple. look right around the bay. it is gusty with winds over 30 miles an hour for the bulk of the day. 7:00. we're still seeing winds very gusty out there, 25 to 30 miles an hour. mid and upper 50s should do it today. high temperatures will be much cooler anywhere from 5 to maybe 15 degrees cooler from yesterday's readings we had mid and upper 60s. then overnight lows tonight hovering around or at freezing for you in livermore, 34 santa rosa, 36 vallejo and fremont.

a little cool for miami standards, 64 degrees, sunshine, 6:30, 62 degrees, 9:00 at 60 and 10:00 upper 50s. accuweather seven-day forecast, a windy day blustery, low- to mid-50s, looking at the fog in the morning. by tomorrow morning it is going to be frosty as well as into tuesday morning widespread 30s. by wednesday we should allow for this air mass to moderate and looking at highs going above average. still sunny out there. even more sunshine. so it looks like a dry week ahead. chilly one today. >> for sure. anything you're looking forward to eating today? >> everything. what about you? >> pigs in a blanket are an all time favorite. i think i'm going to bring that to a party. everything is good. wings. i guess you've got to say wings. >> no pizza. >> no pizza? okay. we'll talk about that later. all right. if we're talking super bowl history, miami has been to the front-runners.

. it's not the only sporting event we're looking forward to, not the super bowl, but the puppy bowl. this morning we're learning more about the star athletes. more than 100 puppies competing for lombardi trophy as well as the mvp for the most valuable puppy award. three of the four-legged athletes, anise, gina and poppy are coming from last chance animal rescue in waldorf, maryland. the other puppies from different areas around the country looking for a home. all the puppies in last year's puppy pole have been adopted. this year's puppy bowl kickoff is a few hours before the super bowl. too cute. all right. next on abc 7 mornings at 6:00 a.m., our full coverage from
