city hall. good morning, everyone. it is super bowl sunny. i'm liz kreutz. we will get to the game in a second but first our forecast with lisa argen. good morning, lisa. good morning. feeling like spring with temperatures in the 60s. starting with fog as the cold front will accelerate and move through the day today. we could see a few sprinkles but it's the wind you'll notice and chilly afternoon temperatures. 49 in sunnyvale with fog from livermore at 47. one of the cooler numbers, 46 with fog in napa and 52 in alameda. look at the winds. 35 to 42 miles an hour from mount tam to mount diablo. that's why we have a wind advisory until 4:00 tomorrow for strong gusty, northwesterly winds especially along the coast.

even a couple hundreds in the mountains. out of alaska to the northwest pushing southeast. that will bring told air, gusty north winds, wind advisory through tomorrow afternoon, a quarter mile visibility in livermore, also napa. that fog with us. it will improve visibility, looking at 50s already. with the atmosphere mixing in upper levels of the atmosphere, we haven't been allowed to cool off that much and we're not going to warm up either. 54 union city, fremont at 52. 53 in oakland. 50 in pacifica. we will be looking at the breezy winds already at 25 miles an hour here at sfo. clouds and fog, early sun and wind today. chilly and gusty right through the evening hours. not until past 10:00 that the winds begin to dial back. we have that wind advisory still through 4:00 in the morning. that will keep the numbers up a little bit but we're still going to see 30s tonight and even colder as we get into tuesday morning. so as we look at the winds right

now, they are already windy and gusty from half moon bay to sfo. elsewhere at about 13 to 15 miles an hour and upper elevations mount diablo, over 40 miles an hour. over 30 miles an hour from mount saint helena and mount tam. throughout the day they continue to tick up. this is 9:00 and we're already past 40 miles an hour at the coast. these gusts will continue all day long into the evening hours. 5:00 tonight, 31 mile an hour wind gust here in oakland. in the south bay about 30 miles an hour. look at the peninsula. even through the early evening hours and overnight hours. but afternoon highs may be a couple degrees warmer than we are right now. so the highs today anywhere from 10 to 15 degrees cooler than yesterday. that's below average and certainly a lot colder than what we've been getting used to. breezy winds out there and even cooler for miami standards. they should be mid-70s, vigorous cold front that moved through there yesterday clearing out

along the shoreline. we do have fog in east bay valleys. a live look outside right now from exploratorium camera where you can see the city with niners red and gold. temperatures in the low 50s, san francisco and oakland not going to budge much more. 46 redwood city, gilroy, sutro camera tower. you see it shaking. 49 in fairfield, fog in livermore. but here come the winds, winds from the north gusting to over 30 miles an hour and 40 at times in the upper elevations. wind advisory until 4:00 tomorrow. gusts could be in excess 45 miles an hour alongshore lines so that could bring down some limbs and trees and power lines as the winds will stay gusty throughout the day today. here is a check of our surface winds. already at the coast and sfo, it is gusty out there. as we go through the morning hours, clouds will clear, fog improves. temperatures stay cool and winds are with us underneath sunny

abc 7 news app. when you're watching the game, try to spot the cleats of emmanuel sanders. he tweeted a photo of the customized tweets he hopes to be wearing featuring art honoring kobe bryant. one has bryant wearing a crown. the other has both of bryant's numbers, 24 and 48. since they are the niners colors, he should be able to wear them in the super bowl. the pennsylvania high school where kobe bryant went to school just held a special tribute to the lakers legend, his daughter and seven others killed in the helicopter crash. more than 1,000 people, including bryant's former high school teammates showed up at the ceremony in lower merion in ardmore, pennsylvania. kobe's cousin unveiled a framed jersey hanging at the gymnasium. that's the number kobe wore when he played there. two portraits of bryant were presented to the school. today is the last day fans can leave an item at the staples center in bryant's honor.

new this morning the newest building showing 49ers and chiefs ahead of the super bowl, the six-story, $40 million building will be lit up all day with both teams logos and signs welcoming halftime performers j.lo and shakira. now to the hardwood where there have been many downs for the warriors. steph curry's broken hand, his left hand being one of them. now we're learning the team is hoping to have him back in march. warriors announced curry will miss all of february in order to recover. he's making progress but will be re-evaluated in four weeks. curry was injured in october during a bad ending toward the start of the season. he's been doing light shooting, noncontact drills and keeping up his conditioning in the time

and clouds already dissipating. we're looking at pretty nice sunrises. sun coming up officially in about 25 minutes. we will be looking at not only a cool afternoon but a frosty night. here is a look at livermore overnight tonight and the next several nights the average low is about 39. we'll be dropping just above freezing. in and around there for the next several days, the air mass dries out. as it does, it cools significantly. tonight we'll start the series of very cold nights across the bay area. from our exploratorium camera, pretty view here with some sun and scattered clouds. with this cloud cover in place, it has kept us kind of mild overnight. we've had upper elevation winds. coming down from the gulf of alaska from the northwest are gusty winds and much cooler day today. a live look again here with numbers in the low 50s downtown. 53 in san jose. 54 half moon bay. we have the wind over 25 miles an hour. from sutro, you can see that the

camera beginning to move a little bit. 48 santa rosa, delta, fog in the east bay. temperatures all around the bay are up compared to yesterday due to the wind but we'll look at that fog improving in the next hour or so as we continue to see these winds kick up in the front advance. a mile and a quarter visibility in livermore. elsewhere five miles on the coast. looking from our roof camera, you can see the colors out there. kind of pretty. patchy fog, sun and wind today. chilly with frosty nights not only tonight but into tuesday morning. protected valleys into wednesday morning but everyone feels the cooldown for the next 48 hours. looking at the winds on the coast right now. over 25 miles an hour, up to 29 miles an hour in the city but we go up in height. they get really gusty 41 mile an hour, mount diablo, see the colors from mount tam indicating gusts. looking at winds throughout the rest of the day.

they will continue to uptick and allow for gusts to exceed 45 miles an hour at the coast. that's the purple color here. as we get into the afternoon, they continue to get stronger. so even in livermore and hayward, redwood city, looking at the gusts over 25 miles an hour. even into the 5:00 hour. this is 7:00. that's why we have the wind advisory through 4:00 tomorrow. temperatures we're in the 50s already so we're not coming up much at all today. 55 in fremont. a windy day out there. 54 san rafael. in miami cool for miami standards, in the 60s by 5:00, low 60s by 6:00. it's clear, no issues there. accuweather seven-day forecast, we are blustery and chilly this afternoon. the fog will be fading. could see a few sprinkles perhaps. but otherwise it is a dry week with the frosty mornings tomorrow morning, especially tuesday morning. and then by wednesday afternoon we're hitting the 60 degree mark, mid-60s, going in the
