san francisco to sfo, 9 minutes as well. slowdowns beginning in tracy. outside of that it's looking good. two planes carrying hundreds of americans evacuated from china because of the coronavirus just landed at travis air force base in solano county. >> we want to take you there live. we can see the planes moving. earlier we saw people taking off luggage on one of those planes. we didn't see any of the passengers just yet, just people with suits on to protect them as all 350 people o tse two planes will be quarantined coming from wuhan, china. the concern is coronavirus. >> and we're just assuming, but it seems as if this is going to be the plane that you're seeing here which will stay at travis air force base and those people will presumably get off. the other plane arriving is the second plane, which i'm assuming

will be the one that will be traveling on to southern california. so we don't expect those passengers to be getting off at travis air force base. we should reiterate and make it clear, these are people who have been evacuated out of china. there's no reason to believe these people have the coronavirus. but all the precautions are being taken to make sure that virus does not spread to people who live in the bay area. >> that's why they will be quarantined for the 14 days. they will be making sure they don't have symptoms before they're allowed to leave. people say they are concerned that the evacuees now here in it the bay area will put other people at risk of catching the virus. we want to remind everyone, no one has been diagnosed in san francisco, but ucsf is treating two patients from san bonita county. >> reporter: after weeks of waiting in chinese coronavirus

hot zone, 250 americans finally evacuated. they're bound for this hotel, the west wind inn where they will be quarantined for two weeks. 14,000 people work at the base, and many in town are concerned. >> there are people out there that have compromised immune systems where this would be debt mental to them. >> lots of people on our facebook and community groups are terror fed. i feel like it's like the bird flu. >> reporter: if one of them is diagnosed with coronavirus, they will be taken to a hospital. >> this is one of our isolation rooms. >> reporter: lisa winston works at san francisco general. right now, ucsf is treating two coronavirus patients. she says sf general is also ready if anyone shows up with the virus. >> the types of resources that you need, an airborne isolation

room and personal protective equipment are things we use routinely for caring for patients with other conditions. >> reporter: sf general has treated patients with a variety of infectious diseases, including h1n1, tuberculosis and measles. she showed us how the negative pressure rooms function. once we're in here, no air can escape this room and get out in the hospital? >> yes, we have closed this door. >> reporter: the next step is a familiar one. then the gown. >> when we're dealing with something new like novel coronavirus, we general do have someone who is observing to make sure of adequate coverage and that everything is on properly. >> and a respirator. >> they filter out small particles that we would orte protection and gloves are the last step. time in isolation depends on the

a federal judge has approved a settlement that moves pg&e closer to getting out of bankruptcy. the deal will allow the utility to refinance billions of dollars in debt to pay off bondholders. pg&e is positioned to get out of bankruptcy by june 30th. governor newsom says it has to make major changes including replacing the entire board of directors and ceo, bill johnson. london breed says she supports an investigation into the arrest into public works director mohammed nuru. the fbi arrested nuru and local restaurant owner nick bovis last month. agents say nuru tried to bribe an airport official into giving bow vis bovis a license for an eatery at the restaurant. the mayor said nothing matters more than restoring the public trust in our government. building a better bay area means easier and more reliant public transit.

this morning. they're taking luggage and things off of this plane. but we have not seen any evacuees come down just yet. we'll keep monitoring this. when we see something else we'll let you know. building a better bay area includes a transit system. right now california state assemblyman david cho says the system is unreliable, fragmented and inequitable. he says part of the problem is different prices, different schedules on different systems and it makes public transportation confusing. for example, a single adult father for marin transit is $2, 2.25 on samtrans, and semta, ac transit charges 2.50. he wants to set up a universal bus fare, same discount fares for bus riders and realtime data. >> after investing billions of dollars into transportation in recent decades, only 3% of bay

i like it. all right. let's talk about what's going on with our cameras out there. they're not shaking like they were yesterday. north-northwest at 12 to 15, that's our wind speed now on tamalpais. we had 35, 45-mile-per-hour gusts yesterday. 75 up on st. helena. not likely today. winds will be less aggressive. the warm sunshine will put us back to average. tonight, not quite as cold. patchy fog will return, especially along the coast and around the bay. no rain through the extended forecast. we have wild temperature swings. you can see the pattern showing up in the cloud cover. the jet stream is starting to move away from us so that conveyor belt of winds will move away. high pressure is a calming influence taking over. we have 59 at half moon bay and san francisco. the rest of us around 60 to 61

tris asethothe will travel to southern california, which is something we saw last week with the first plane evacuated out of china carrying americans. those people were hd at a base for about three days. a similar thing will happen here. these folks have already been screened prior to getting on the plane. there is no indication that anyone here has coronavirus. of course they're taking extra precautions, and these folks, as far as we know, we do see one person walked off the tarmac there. i don't think the passengers have gotten off the plane yet. it appears that one plane, the white one, that will be the one that we think is going to continue on to southern california. but we'll have to wait and see what happens here. two prolific car burglary suspects are in custody after being caught in the act by san francisco police. delvin carter and jared wilson were under surveillance when

officers say they drove to the golden gate bridge welcome center. in a matter of seconds they broke into three vehicles. officers followed them to the parking lot at stones town galleria in san francisco where they arrested them. police say they found stolen property from at least 18 break-ins. a big step forward in an effort to move a historic build building and turn it into affordable housing. a 10,000 check was presented to habitat humanity. it will help pay for the restoration of the palstone apartment building. the developer offered to move the building to city-owned land a few blocks away. habitat will turn it into affordable housing. city leaderers say the deal sends a message that san jose does not bill dose its history but saves it instead. in san francisco one of the famous painted ladies has been sold for 3$3.5 million. so the house at 714 steiner
