michelle obama appearing. american factory up for best feature documentary. of course you can watch 92nd oscars today. coverage starts at 10:00 a.m. only on abc 7. don't miss it. now to developing news back in the bay this morning. san francisco police investigating a shooting involving off duty fbi agent. what we know so far is it happened after 11:30 on ashberry street near haight. they shot a man. details of what led up to the shooting have not been released this morning. police asking anyone with information to contact the department. we want to get you the very latest on the coronavirus which we know know has killed more people than the sars virus in the 2000s. in the bay area it failed to put a everyone todayer on the biggest lunar celebration outside of china.

responsible for the deaths of 811, including one american. more than 37,000 people infected and that number is still growing. according to cdc, 12 people have tested positive for the virus in the u.s. 100 more americans are under investigation. according to the "new york times," the rate of new infecti infections each day at the source in china seems to be stablidesing. world health organization say the area is still in the midst of an intend outbreak. last night in san francisco, it was one of the largest lunar celebrations outside of china. again, amid the concern over coronavirus, thousands pack the street to celebrate traditions that date back thousands of years. abc news reporter was there. >> reporter: fireworkers and lion dances set off the lunar new year's parade in san francisco, traditions that go back thousands of years. it's an important time of year

to be with family. >> we wanted to teach the chinese culture. they also enjoy the history of it. >> his kids in line to watch their favorite dances. >> lion dance. >> that's the best part? >> yeah. >> this woman property her family visiting from china. she says they don't usually celebrate at home. >> they haven't seen it in years. they are happy to see it in a foreign country. >> the parade was packed with dances. one thing missing this year, the crowds. there was lots of empty spaces along the usually packed parade route. some predicting smaller because of the coronavirus in china. >> i think you're missing out. >> learning different dance styles. >> this is jimmy's first parade. he knows lots of people stayed home. but he says it was important to come out. >> the community comes first when it comes to supporting it, so that's what i'm here for rmt.

puck. lots of fun to be had at the oscars. you can watch that only on abc. we want to get you occupy to speed on the forecast sunday with lisa argen. >> all right. good morning to you, julian. live doppler 7 you notice the cloud cover. a lot of wind in the atmosphere. that is allowing for gusts in the upper elevations and wind advisory from the national weather service monday from the hills of the north and east bay. looking at current temperatures, it is 32 in mount diablo. that certainly is the coldest spot. but with all the wind looking at 40s and 50s in livermore and closer to the bay we are 51, san francisco, pasco, 48 in santa rosa. look at the surface winds. naacp 26 miles an hour, 44 miles an hour around fairfield, concord 33-mile-an-hour winds. the gusts check it out in the upper elevations we see winds in the 80 to even close to 90 miles

an hour. 87 miles an hour mount saint helena. they have come down a bit. purples are the strong ewinds. mount diablo, 32, wind gusts 55. mount tam a wind gust of 46. you can see why we have the wind advisory. the gusts throughout the day today around the bay, anywhere from 30 to 40 miles an hour. 7:00 they really begin to ramp up and throughout 2:00 we're looking at still gusty winds 30 miles an hour, hayward, redwood city and in the south bay. as we get on through the evening hours it's still windy out there. you can see the reds. if this was march or april, we could have a red flag warning. these are offshore gusty winds. because the fuels are moist and we've had some rain we're not looking at problems. 7:00 monday morning, 25-mile-an-hour wind gust and still looking breezy through 11:00 the winds begin to dial back. here is a look outside from our exploratorium camera. cool and breezy to start, clear,

strong, gusty winds with sunshine. looking at dry weather not only today, through valentine's day, presidents' day holiday, and it is looking possible that we could see dry weather till about february 20th, 21st. it's unlikely that we're going to catch up in terms of our rainfall. 61 in oakland, 59 in san mateo. windy day, mid-60s in the north. certainly going to feel cooler out there. as we check the ten-day outlook for rain notice .04" in santa rosa. north coast here not looking at that much over an inch of rain. certainly dry times continue. for the oscars rain the likelihood until 3:00. then a passing shower, free sprinkles. they also have a wind advisory, 60 degrees throughout the later afternoon. accuweather forecast, a string of sunny days. today we have strong winds and looking at the breezy winds tomorrow we will be calmer. as we get into the middle of the week we warm up into the 60s.

senator elizabeth warren slipping in polls spent the weekend knocking on doors, gathering support. last night just about every candidate was at a democratic party fundraiser here in new hampshire. the line that got the biggest cheer was from bernie sanders who says no matter who the nominee is, the party will unite behind them in order to beat president trump. that may be true but the party is divided on which have these candidates actually has the best chance of beating the candidate. in manchester, new hampshire, trevor ault. >> thank you very much. coming up with week three democratic candidates will be discussion their strategies heading into the new hampshire primary. joe biden, pete buttigieg and elizabeth warren will be talking with george stephanopoulos. you can watch the full interviews with george stephanopoulos right here at 8:00 on abc 7. the primary is weeks away in california. we want you to be a prepared and informed voter in our weekly series chasing california with week, we explore the rise in the

not only upper elevations but you might feel it at your houseworking to the surface. our wind advisory through the morning not officially starting until 7:00. it is certainly out there. yesterday it was breezy in spots but today it looks like not only will we see these offshore winds but they will stay with us. in fact, this could be extended through tuesday. here they are out of the north at 29 miles an hour. can you see throughout the day until we get into 9:00 tomorrow. they are gusty, out of the northeast. so it's cool, it's windy to breezy out there. temperatures are going to feel even cooler because of the direction of the wind and the strength of the wind. here is emeryville. can you see how windy it is from where our cameras are situated in the upper elevations. we are over 50 miles an hour in many spots. live doppler 7. the dry component to the northeast wind allowing for clear start here. you can see clouds to the north. there are some clouds to the south and southern california

tracking a few showers as we get through the first part of the day then drying out. it is 49 in san ramon, 50 walnut creek, 51 in pleasant hill. closer to the bay mid-40s. with all of that air mixing out, temperatures are fairly uniform. check out the northeast wind at the surface. you can see how breezy it is to windy. 33-mile-an-hour wind around concord while hayward is up to 24 as well as the airport. see what we call low level wind sheer for some arriving and departing flights, half moon bay 37 miles an hour. let's go up 1,000 feet. it gets pretty aggressive from 40 to 52 from mount diablo. the air temperature is 32 mount diablo, it's chilly. we are looking at these winds to last right on through monday, possibly tuesday. throughout the day we've got 30 to 35-mile-an-hour wind gust across the bay from the east bay to south bay, the north bay. the darker shades indicate stronger winds.

this is as we go into the evening hours. it's still windy. we're still looking at the offshore components, wind gusts over 30 miles an hour. overpass hours. tree limbs down, power outages at 7:00 monday morning. but the lighter shade of blue comes in past noontime on monday. it's goi to take a while. then we'll get another reinforcing shot of windy conditions. we could see another wind advisory into tuesday. our himghlights looking at gust winds, breezy morning, dry pattern. highs 60s, fremont san rafael, 58 vallejo. as we look at the next 10 days, looking for rain, looking hard. we're not seeing much. maybe a quarter -- maybe a few hundredths as we get into the latter part of presidents' day. so down in southern california, they have the wind. the wind advisory. a few sprinkles, actually some showers through about 3:00. then after 3:00, it's just a couple hundredths maybe a sprinkle here or there. accuweather seven-day forecast.
