the state of massachusetts is suing giuliani juul. according to the new york types, prosecutors filed suit today claiming that juul purchased ad space on websites popular with young people including nickelodeon and 17 magazine. they said it presents some of the starkest evidence to date that juul was indeed targeting young nonsmokers during its launch starting in june 2015. the san francisco based vaping company has not commented on the lawsuit. the tax deadline is just weeks away. today, the annual tax hotline. you're paying everybody's taxes? >> you may be a little confused. what we are going to do is help everybody pay less in attaches.

pedestrians is part of building a better bay area. >> in san jose, a new plan aimed at reducing the rising number of traffic-related deaths. >> it is an urgent issue. the number of cyclists and pedestrian deaths hit an all time high last year. >> chris nguyen live in san jose. >> reporter: we took a look at the numbers and that he had strands accounted for nearly half the deaths. they said the trend needs to be dealt with and that's why they're taking action. >> reporter: four years after the city of san jose announced the initiative, 60 people died in a traffic-related incident on city streets in 2019 alone. a troubling statistic that sounded the alarm for many. >> we know that speeding is the primary collision factor in a lot of these collision factors. >> reporter: tuesday night, they voted to spend nearly $7 million on its zero vision plan over the next two years, taking action in an attempt to reverse the rising

trend of traffic-related deaths. >> we'll be using traffic, paint, quick build materials to let us do projects quickly and at a fraction of the costs. >> reporter: the city has covered 15 square miles across the city. one includes this intersection at center road at feldspar drive couldch could reduce speeds and problem spots. >> one fatality is too many. so that's the whole goal for vision zero. under fortunately, we've been moving in the wrong direction. >> reporter: city officials say it will go toward increasing traffic enforcement as well as an awareness campaign to get people to slow down. data collection tools will be used to help better understand driver behavior. the funding may be a step in the right direction that you advocates say more needs to be done to make a dent.

it's hot. >> singapore was really hot and humid and antarctica was i didn't really have time to do anything else other than jump in and start running. >> what kind of a support team did you have? >> so there were seven of us there. they were three hof us doing marathons and half marathons. and we were taken through the airports. so you probably had some team bonding. >> yes, one of our guys doing the marathon was very close to quitting. his sister came and ran so he was emotionally able to pick up and finish strongly. >> you didn't just do this for recreation. there is a reason behind it. >> exactly. i'm a proud employees of
