>> reporter: there have been rumblings at city hall for weeks about mayor breed's ties to mohammed nuru. he is embroiled in that federal corruption scandal. i just came from inside city hall where the supervisor thinks mayor breed should resign immediately after the mayor disclose ad $5,600 gift from nuru. >> the mayor just admitted to violating the law by accepting a close to $6,000 gift from her employee. her subordinate. and i talked to the city attorney. pass clear violation of the law. and because of. serious violation, and the serious culture of corruption that pervades this city, that i believe she should voluntarily resign. >> i can't help but believe that the mayor's office is in crisis communications mode. they obviously have known about this, or she has known about this for a long time. the fact they are dumping on it a friday before a three-day

these investigations take place. so no doubt, there will be a lot of conversations to come here at city hall. >> all right. reporting live for us, thank you, kate. turning to the east bay, after months of investigation, union city police have investigated two people in the deadly shooting of two young boys found outside an elementary school. >> the first suspect the jason of castro valley. the second is a juvenile, 17 years old. close to $60,000 were seized in the investigation in those november murders. >> reporter: the 18-year-old suspect appeared in court today. the 17-year-old is in juvenile hall. both are accused of murdering those young boys. the motive is still unclear. but cache of weapons and drugs uncovered today. this is a disturbing story.
